Life Story❖ Childhood ➢ Hakan was born to Bjarke and Ingrid both of Velheim descent within a small barony in Drixagh, whose main trade was the production and sale of furs. ➢ It was during this time that Hakan was taught how to read and write, mainly taught by his mother in both Als-Tunge and Skodje. ➢ Hakan’s father was a strict but loyal man, often beating the disobedient child, which only furthered his rebellious and ruthless ideals, which lead to Hakan being taken more so under his father's wing while his mother became a side character. ➢ Due to this more loveless, brutal upbringing his father soon sent him off to enlist under the school of Skagger, more precisely the Skagenak Discipline, due to the young man’s fascination with axe combat. ❖ Teen years and early Adolescence ➢ Hakan’s time at ‘The Crag’ was grueling and full of hardships, all throughout he fought tooth and nail to prove himself among the ranks, never dropping a chance to show off his ever growing finesse with his twin-axes. ➢ Due to the nature of the school, Hakan remained for ten long years, within which he began to focus, honing himself to become even better than his own father, soon surpassing him in skill. With such training came his immense devotion to the Oldt Fayth, understanding that through it he can find absolution. ❖ Later Adolescence and Adulthood ➢ After the ten year long training and studying at ‘The Crag’, Hakan left with the knowledge and training firmly set in his mind. ➢ With his training complete Hakan returned home, where he was greeted with the proposition of a prearranged marriage with the warmhearted and calm Freya, who despite being forced he quickly fell in love with, the woman seeming to calm and subdue his ferocious temper. ➢ After only a few months the pairing were married, Freya taking on the Sterke-enn family name. ➢ The pair moved away from the small barony, allowing them the room to start their own family, though opposed to the idea Hakan wouldn’t take his wife's dream, with the aid of friends and family they built a small cottage near a forest. ➢ In the following years Freya gave birth to the pairs first born child, a boy who they named Bolverk. Hakan spent most of his time teaching the boy right from wrong, and how to fend for himself. ➢ Six years later Freya gave birth to another boy, which they named Aren, being a rather boisterous he couldn’t help but love him. ➢With his two sons approaching their teen years, Freya gave birth to their third and final child, a girl called Sigrid. Being a girl Freya took a more parental role during her earlier years. ➢ After sixteen years with his loving wife, the small barony that neighboured their cottage was attacked because of such, Hakan left to defend the townspeople. With Bolverk away due to Skagger schooling Freya was left to defend the homestead. ➢ Upon returning Hakan was distraught to find his wife dead. This changed Hakan, turning his once friendly and calm way of thinking to a more anger and hate driven one. ➢ In the following years, they rebuilt their home, though it was never the same, the normal warm and calm household changed into anger, with Hakan growing a hate for his children, never being able to handle the stress, and as such once they came of age he sent both Sigrid and Aren off to the school of Skagger. ➢ In the coming years Hakan took up hunting, finding little comfort in his own home he would often be away from home for months at a time. It was during such an outing that the man was attacked by an Oorl worm, being caught off guard he was forced into the transformation, fighting the vile creature all throughout the process till he passed out from the immense pain. ➢ The following days contained Hakan stumbling around in the frozen forests of the north, eventually coming to his now empty homestead, fully transformed into a half bear, half man abomination. He now looks towards Regalia to rejoin his children, hoping to get an understanding of what happened, and what will happen.
