Character's Religion Unionism (2/10) Life Story Born 279 AC in the then Pileran-occupied Duchy of Pays-Sud as Guy Luis Villarreal Pileran, a grandson of the acclaimed Sylvia Pileran. Raised a nobleman along with its accessory education and decorum, including horse riding and swordplay. Frequently treated as a black sheep for his atypical nature and interests, Guy left his ancestral home to enlist within the School of Drixon. Upon his graduation he chose not to enlist in the army since he was not obligated to, shifting his tuition towards business and statesmanship out of ambition instead. With a certain distaste for his relatives he would venture out to the city of Daenshore in search for a career abroad. While studying in Daenshore, Guy became closely involved with House Anahera and was accepted into their ranks because of his noble roots. With humble beginnings as a trafficker he worked his way up in their House of Trade as a competent fixer. During his time in Casa de Anahera he frequently involved himself with their military campaigns as well in service to the empire, or otherwise. When the Pileran lands were conquered by House Anahera during the events of the Regalian Civil Strife, Guy was expatriated to his ancestral home and questioned by former Arch-Chancellor Alejandro Anahera. Believing his false promises of power, Guy sold his family out and revealed the location of “Le Grand Bijoux Vert”, an artifact granting de jure control over the lands, framing his cousin Olivia. Disgraced and betrayed, Guy set out to live a lavish life in Daenshore along with the riches he received from House Anahera for the actions that lost him his family’s titles. During this time he would often resort to excessive alcohol and opium abuse to cope with his negative emotions. After receiving a supposedly drug-induced vision of enlightenment, Guy vowed to abandon his poor ways and dived head-first into a heavy detoxification process. With a clear vision of his aspirations and a strategy to achieve them, Guy would be the first Pileran to set foot in the capital again in years.
