Are guns a thing in Aloria? I remember reading somewhere that regalia is currently in an age which resembles the early 1500 or the late 1400, experimentation with handheld guns IRL date back to the late medievals in China. Even though most all the continents are based off the western world (Europe and The Americas), it is still implied that there are continents which are not availiable to the public, the continents of Aloria seem connected enough so technically if there is a world based off China/Asia somewhere, guns could be a some sort of rare import that only high ranking generals and such have. And it woudn't at all be impossible since we already got cannons.

Im not talking about automatic guns here, im talking about the OLD guns, those who took 15 minutes to reload, and only fired one round

Nope. All I can think of to describe this. Just "Nope". Use a bow.

I wouldn't mind this happening, but it would be abused because it would be hard to make the guns inaccurate (like they would have been during this time period). It would be cool though...but no.

Bah no one seems to be looking at the link so here:
Understand the context. The reason why OP wants flitnlock pistols, is to be a flintlock pistol weilding pirate mercenary dude. There are several problems with this.

Matchlock, Serpentine and Flintlock pistols are cumbersome and uneconomic, in order for them to be ready at all times, a fuse must be lit and burning at a constant pace, which according to one article, would require one mile of matchlock fuse per year. An Aquebus or flintlock rifle has an extremely complex firing mechanism that involves not only setting up, but also lenghty aim times and an extreme rate of misfire, failure in mechanism. Bottom line is, unless the person wanting to use guns specifically, it can only really be pulled off by a sniper assassin sitting at a spot for hours during a day waiting for the right time and moment for his mark to appear and then attempt to kill it, with a severe chance for misfire. If anyone wants to be a gun weilding badass, they can forget about it. That didn't happen untill the late 1800's with the first practical bolt action rifles and pistols for common use.

The secondary problem is affording the wealth to actually acquire a well functioning properly made rifle. Construction of these weapons is extremely complex and expensive. Troughout history, bolt action and more practical fire arms were made, though they were often only made for royalty or extremely wealthy nobles due to the fact that every barrel and every bullet had to be hand made for the specific weapon. Anyone that isn't of such high birth would not be able to afford such a functional weapon.

Since the options are so limited, we'd like players not to get involved with them. It might be an interesting suggestion for me to write up a suggestion list of weapons though, as some form of inspiration, or an indicator of limitations to certain weapons.

I clicked, 'yes.' ._. I hate mis-clicks so much, although your post is quite pink cloud worthy.

Technically there were guns in Europe during the 1400's...but they were called arquebus, and were pretty much useless unless in a siege.

We do have cannons... *facepalm*
