Not sure if i'm missing something..But the Guldar thread has been removed? Does this mean that Guldar is cancelled..And if so..Why?

He is talking about the announcement thread for the creation of Guldar, which was posted in the "Server New and Announcements"-section a while ago. I also could not find it anymore, but I can probably ensure you that the creation process has not been stopped, after what MonMarty has posted recently while quoting a similar post:

we weren't confused as to what he was talking about, it was wot as in what happened to the thread. At least that was the meaning behind my 'wot'

I believe he was trying to give information for the main point of the thread.. @Odimbus Anyways- I hush now.

I am aware of that, I was referring to his first sentence in which he explains to us what the thread actually was. I am aware and thankful of the information he provided after that, however.

They wouldn't do that without notifying us first. The thread is somewhat old, so obviously they've worked on it enough that they can't just leave it like that. Plus, Staff have more pressing matters to attend to, a new world isn't something they're focusing on at the moment. At least this is what I think, I could be completely wrong or perfectly right so unless staff confirms my comment don't take it as truth.

Guldar thread was removed because Guldar production was cancelled.

I instead started producing Teled Methen.

Geography - 100% done
Terrain Biomes - 70% done
Bo2's - 0% done
World capital - 0% done
Final detail touch-up - 0% done

Yet another world that has been started but never completed.

Yet another comment that is very unhelpful and serves no other purpose than to antagonize. What happened to you? I remembered you as such an endearing person with good input.

Ok. To be slightly more constructive, @MonMarty could I ask why Guldar was cancelled? The faction PariahFolk was bought by the server to serve as its capital. I know that a large player base was looking forward to it, and I'm sure that same player base would be curious and grateful to know what happened to it. However, if it's not my place to know, then that's fine. Any answer is welcomed, thank you

For future reference, I'll mark up every world production cycle and what happened to it:

Ceardia: Randomly generated, went into use.
Daendroc: TerrainControl and Bo2 generated, went into use.
Ellador: TerrainControl and Bo2 generated, went into use.
-- At this point TerrainControl became deprecated--
Regalia:
TerrainControl and Bo2 generated, went into use.
Ithania: WorldPainter generated, went into use.
Kelmoria: WorldPainter generated, went into use.
Hadar: WorldPainter and Bo2 generated, creator disappeared from the face of the internet and took all the work with him.
Jorrhildr: WorldPainter generated, the geography was done, but the map was never implemented. It was supposed to come with a plugin, but said plugin was never developed, and without that plugin the map was deemed boring.
Farah'deen: Never entered production due to lack of manpower.
-- At this point World Machine became standard, some devs however still use Worldpainter only--
New Ceardia:
WorldMachine and WorldPainter and Bo3 generated, went into use.
Fendarfell: WorldPainter and Bo3 generated, went into use.
Gana'Isha: Randomly generated, went into use.
The Rift: Randomly generated, went into use.
Guldar: Pre-production test plates were made, production was never actually started though I announced it. At the time I planned to work on it, but more expressly important things happened a week after and I had to divert my attention. Recently I decided to put Guldar on freeze, as it's implementation required a lot more work, which we could not afford right now. We need a world map fast, not slowly.
Spectec's Map: Spectec is working on it right now with WorldPainter and Bo3's, but we don't know the percentual status of it, or when it is going to be close to testable.
Daendroc V2: Pre-production was started but halted as the worker on it felt the map was too difficult to undertake. This project will be picked up by myself when I am done with all other major tasks.
Teled Methen: Production cycle almost complete with WorldMachine, WorldPainter and Bo3's, slated for release within a few weeks, maybe even a week and a bit if all things go smoothly.
Warrenord Quest Map: Slated for release after PR campaign and quality assurance.
Rallis Battle Map: construction is ongoing right now.

Naw man. Was looking forward to Guldar, had some plans for it. So long as a new world is released sometime soon, I don't mind though ^^

It's currently up for Bo2 population, which means I need to whip some of the worldies into building me a ruin pack. After that we just whip up a world capital and do a bunch of fly overs and it's done for release.

What about Aloria (No not the RP universe the first world), Binral and Etosil.

So will the new world be the same sort of terrain,or completely different? And would I be right in assuming that it's an actual world in which one can claim faction land,or is it an RP world? @MonMarty

It is quite some time since a survival/faction world was added. It is probably what MonMarty is talking about. I think i've seen some staff say the RP community isn't big enoug to fill another world like Regalia (but maybe the time has come). Personally i would like to see another survival/faction world.

To be completely honest and open about myself, I have become a really negative person. But let's not make this a negative thing, it is possible that any of these worlds that never got completed will come back? They all had so much potential and would have been amazing creations. I remember having a sneak peak at Severek's (I think that's the name) Hadar world and I was bubbling with excitement.

....and now after writing that I looked through the reasons of the cancelled world's. Those creative grids people use to apply for a build on (I built something small for Hadar myself), wouldn't some of those come into use say for Farah'deen and Hadar specifically?

2 years back the work that Severek put into Hadar was decent. Nowadays it's amateurish quality. The Bo2's don't conform to the new process anymore. The concept of a water world is still very alive, just not right now. Probably after 1.8 with the guardian and all the new underwater blocks and what not.

May I ask, where in Aloria is Teled Methen based? Would be interested to know its surrounding continents.

Does this mean you have screenshots available? We have seen nothing of this world so far, but I am definitely looking forward to it, I am just curious as to what I am looking forward to..

For Hadar, personally I don't think it should be released as a playable world. With all the different groups and governments, it would be better as an RP world like regalia, if released at all. I know it was cancelled and all, and this is a bit off topic.

You already have that quest world in production, and factions are overcrowded to heck at the moment.

I wouldn't bet on it.
