Today, our numbers are far too few, and stretched too thin. We are dying out. Many of us come to Regalia, but why? Do any of us even know what drove us to Regalia? I think I figured out why we fled to Regalia. We were running. Running from our duty, running from the dangers that now lurk behind every corner in the wilderness. We ran. We ran from what chased us. And it chased us because there aren't enough of us anymore. We ran from what was our own fault. We ran, and things started lurking, causing more and more to run, and so on.
It all started with men shucking off their duties, be it because they were scared, hurt, or otherwise. They stopped patrolling the wild, and bad things took their places.
Now our numbers in the wild dwindle. Less than a handful of true Rangers on any continent. But if we stand together, we can restore order to the wilderness, starting with Regalia. As you read this, there are a few of us who have joined the GreenBloods out patrolling the wilderness of Regalia. You could be one of them soon.
Many do not realize the huge part Rangers play in the ecosystem of Aloria, many think them petty hunters, lurking in the woods. But we are more than that. What we do directly affects what everyone else does. By protecting the wilderness, we also protect many villages far from major empires. We protect travelers, which helps large cities, such as Regalia, grow. We protect traders, who have an enormous effect on the economy.
Our allegiance is with no empire, not Regalia, not the Qadir, not the Ch'ien-ji, not the Wulong, not the Shendar, not the Drowdar. We stand alone. We stand together. For one and all. One for all, and all for one. We do not stand by the colors of any empire, we stand by the colors of the forest. Of the wilderness. Of the people. We will protect all who need protecting. No matter the personal cost. We devote ourselves to protect the people of Aloria, and make the world a better place.
Alone we wither, together, we stand stronger than all of the Regalian empire.
