Visiting Leissalond had turned into more of a move then the vacation she had hoped it to be. Even though all her actual belongings were still back in her Regalian home she hadn't really missed them while gone. The sea breeze that made its way through the Wisteria Dock was so refreshing to feel once more. The smell of salt and fish as it was brought in from the harbour brought back a sense of nostalgia she never thought she would have. Crawling back onto the small patch of grass she had found that hadn't been paved over, the Compassion-born continued reading over the gathered letters from the past few months, all of them neatly pressed into her booklet. Most of them were from Cylia, all of them made her smile. There were some others pushed far into the back from those she liked to keep hiding as well. Knowing they make her sad.
She thought back on how months ago she had moved back here. Thinking it was temporary, hoping, praying it was more peaceful. But within these past few months the Allorn empire hadn't treated her much kinder. There had been many-a-time she had wondered if this job was for her. Worrying she had wasted a large chunk of her life training for something she couldn't actually do.
Finally she had come back here, her hometown. The place she grew up with her mother, the tutors and eventually the place she moved away from to pursue her knight training to begin with. She wouldn't trade those early days of training for anything. It had been her first exposure to other teenagers her age as well as starting her journey to live up to her Arken mother's wishes for a more compassionate world. At least.. She hoped that to be the case.
Now she was here. Sat waiting for a boat that hopefully didn't come too soon. A boat that would take her back to Regalia so she could pick up where she left off. Yet she still didn't feel ready. She didn't feel like she'd be able to live up to the title of Aelriggan while in the city and had sent a letter accordingly ahead of her arrival.
A letter detailing how she was currently on sabbatical from the order.
