Jensa was a troublesome youth. She actively antagonized her sisters, despite being the younger with an active temper, prone to tantrums and destroying things. She also took to harming animals, even small creatures if she ever got her hands on one. Her parents often tried to fix her behavior, but to little avail despite groundings and beatings, and an (understandable) avoidance from other children her age. [1-14] A bitter and lonesome child, Jensa kept to herself, feeling isolated and unable to express herself. She didn't understand her sudden annoyance and anger to some things, and her carelessness for others, feeling completely inept and unable to understand people around her in social relations. This leading to a very low perception of herself, feeling as if she were inadequate and broken. [15] These feelings began to change as she grew older, attempting to branch out and away from her unruly childhood and into her teenage years. She tried to become closer to her siblings to no avail, which would often erupt into arguments and fights. Isolating herself, she found herself attached to a single young boy in Solleria around her age. He didn't seem to mind her unusual social behaviors and blunt responses. [16] Trying to earn money, her close friend drags her along to work as simple house servants to a wealthy family. At first, clumsy, awkward, and mostly silent, she began to open up. Guided and given jobs by the head maids, she found that if she listened, she could do whatever work they wanted to a T, as long as she didn't open her mouth. For the first time in her life, she didn't feel useless. [16-18] Jensa and her close friend are eventually offered to live in the estate, accepting the offer fully. The two were joyful, always close since their childhood and offered more in their lives and still able to work together. However, things begin to change as troubles arise in the family. After an attack on one of their children, all the staff were asked if they had any training in weaponry to join their house guard, needing more people, and ones that they trusted. Wanting to try something new, the pair lie and agree, and begin to undergo training as house guards, and are raised to wield swords and training in crossbows. Despite their clear inabilities in combat skill, they needed passionate youths with plenty of energy. Jensa especially, often frightening her childhood friend with her ability to detach, and even grow excited during spars, often leading to her loosing. Working hard, the pair stubbornly work towards eventually becoming full members of the house guard, which they eventually achieve... much to their happiness of receiving a higher pay, their original incentive. [18-19] Still, remaining the silent yet attentive listener, a higher guard questions her avid silence. Engaging in more conversation with someone besides her dear friend, her superior sees a hint of cleverness in the girl. She is then on advised to speak more, and offered skills in doing so. [19] It was a typical night in the barracks of the estate, when one evening it all seemed to fall a part, jumping out of her bed to the yelling of her coworkers. The brother of the Patriarch rose up his guard ranks and sieged the estate in a single night, attacking and killing the Patriarch, leaving the house guard in disarray and in incredible lacking in skill below those that engaged. The house guard either slaughtered or taken captive, like Gin and her friend, who refused to fight. Those that survived were approached by the brother himself. They are suddenly offered an incredible amount of pay to work under the cousin. [19-20] Taken as highly paid prisoners, the two were brought into an underhanded group of mercenaries that worked for their new boss. Working as highwaymen or performing any dirty work. The adjustments were ruthless for Jensa, now nicknamed "Gin" by her new superiors. For the first time in their lives, they were taught to engage in true combat and to commit something far worse, murder. At first, they were hesitant, but Gin came to accept these changes.. a bit too warmly. Her friend majorly resisted it, growing distant from her and actively always telling her of ways they could just escape and find a new life for themselves.. but Gin wasn't interested in it. She saw a new life ahead of her. [20-24] For the next four years, Gin became a ruthless highwaywoman with a clever tongue, listening to what she was told to perform, and doing so perfectly without a single complaint, and even to her own glee. She became obsessed with near death circumstances and battle, nearly meeting her end a numerous amount of times. Making her clumsy at her job, yet, she didn't care, she enjoyed it all, as well as concocting plans, able to curl her words to make them agreeable. She felt competent, free, and full of herself, lording her own skill and intelligence over her coworkers and the poor people she helped rob or slay. Her friend grew utterly disgusted, they had grown apart in those years completely, as if she wholly forgot about him. [24] One winter night, he brings her aside. Dragging her away from a night of drinking with the mercenaries and into the woods. He tells her he aims to leave, finally, with a perfect plan. Gin shows utter confusion, they had a perfect situation, didn't they? Her inability to understand him leads to a horrible fight, gut wrenching and terrible before anger starts to rise. In the midst of shoving him, on accident, he pulls the trigger of his crossbow and launches an array of arrows into her body, killing her instantly. Horrified, he runs. Rousing out of her death, she assumes she miraculously survived, adrenaline high and shocked to the bone, she pulls herself up raggedly to her feet. She couldn't believe he shot her, upset and striving to try and fix things, she saw his footprints in the snow and followed. She eventually happens upon more footprints, and then a horrible scene. Her coworkers had caught up with him, and killed him. Caught in fits of anger and laughter as they mutilated him. Gin was overwhelmed with anger and rage, blinded by it, unwilling to hear the rouse of surprise and greeting from her coworkers, she aims her crossbow and fires at them. Wholly due to her Undeadism, Gin survives the bloodbath with a missing limb and nearly severed leg with numerous stab wounds after engaging in a war of combat and chaos with her old coworkers. She barely escaped as she threw herself over one of their horses and rode off. She doesn't remember when she stopped, but all she knew is that she could only escape to Regalia. From then on, Gin had changed. Either due to her Undeadism or the traumatic event, she lost trust in herself. She was at her best when she listened, that was when she was good. She felt hollow, with little direction, like a meaningless husk, she lacks trust in her own thoughts and leaves it in the hands of others, happy to listen to commands as a loyal bodyguard or on a direct task. And still able to enjoy her self depreciating hobby of the occasional dance with death.

@skullpanda90 Fortification Training and Crossbow Combat are not Proficiencies, these would most likely be Utility / Heavy Ranged Combat and Construction Arts. You have 3 points left unused. A mutation for lavender eyes could be requested on your Undead Permission document, I would recommend contacting Finlaggan or Birdsfoot_violet to ask about the status of that.
