      • Drahl Lineage- Gerralt is able to summon his beloved pet which is a Great Horned Owl. This can be done in defense if his life is threatened, if Gerralt is emotionally distressed, or if Gerralt calls the owl, whose name is Duolingo. The owl also gives him extended perception and helps on pathfinding journeys.
      • Soaring Squirell- Gerralt has a mundane familiar that is a Soaring Squirell which will follow Gerralt around and entertain others around him.
      • Spotted Ceardian- He uses his horse on long journeys and other times when he leaves the city. The hardy horse complements his pathfinding abilities well.
      • Alais Vampire Mutations-
        • Crimson Curse- Gerralt uses this to embarrass and sabotage people for either his enjoyment or a more meaningful purpose.
        • Crimson Silence- Gerralt uses this ability to stealthfully sneak up on people to spy or steal from them. He may also use this to rummage through a noble person's house without them hearing him.
        • Crimson Cloaking- Gerralt uses this to play with people's minds and either scare them or get away from a situation that doesn't favor him.
        • Crimson Guile- Gerralt uses this to protect from being found out and also makes feeding easier in public.
        • Crimson Lies- Gerralt uses this to persuade people to think in a different way than they originally did. He uses it to sabotage or protect himself from others and in a way to gain political power.

    • Vampiric Description
      • Gerralt's eyes are the first to change his blue eyes start to mix with a blood-red and after a few seconds, they become a Midnight Purple. Next, blood starts to come from his eyes and the corners of his mouth leaving streaks of blood. Then, his nails sharpen but cut no better than his normal nails, and blood covers his whole hand and travels up his arm stopping around his elbow. Lastly, his legs become covered in blood and it travels all the way up to his body and diverges around the center of chest stopping just beneath his neck.

    Option One: The Question List

    • How would your character express Happiness and Contentedness?
      • Gerralt rarely expresses genuine happiness and contentedness he is an expert deceiver and prides himself on making people think one thing when really he is far from that emotion. The only time he is truly happy is when he personally gains something and this is shown through a sinister smile. A fake expression may look like a normal, light-hearted smile.
    • How would your character respond to experiencing Fear?
      • Gerralt would tense up, and his eyes would sharpen. Depending on the scenario anger may come out as the dominant emotion, but if in fear of his life he will no longer fight, but may resort to trickery, begging, or throwing someone else in front of him. There are very few people that Gerralt favors and he believes everyone is expendable if he is in fear of his life.
    • How would your character respond to experiencing Stress?
      • When Gerralt is stressed he moves slowly, acting with precision and weighing each of his options very carefully. He realizes now that he is playing a dangerous game so he no longer reacts in a rash or urgent manner.
    • How does your character view Law and Authorities?
      • This has been his most radical change since his transition. He has no respect for the law, especially from noble and imperial law. He also has no respect for their authority and believes they don't deserve the power they control. He mildly respects his coven leader but only to satisfy them, and he also mildly respects a select number of Playero's but not all of them.
    • How does your character feel about Races other than their own?
      • Gerralt cares little about the other races and prefers to judge people based on interaction and personality. He judges people more on class than race.
    • How does your character feel about Religion for themselves and other faiths?
      • Gerralt was raised in a Unionist household but never conformed to the teachings of either Unionism or Old Gods fundamentals which his parents both were. He also takes religious choice into little account on judging someone and views religion as a way of viewing the world and there is no right or wrong religion. Is know completely against religion and sees it has a burden on people's lives and has no importance in anyone's life.
    • How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world?
      • Magic played no role in Gerralt's early life, so he knows little about the magic and arcane arts around the world. Seeing more magic since coming to Regalia he doesn't really favor the use of it but also doesn't mind when it is used to help him.
    • How does your character feel towards their family?
      • Gerralt perceives his family in two parts: His Father is someone he respects for his loyalty to the Regalian Empire and the nobles (doesn't respect the Empire or the nobles just the trait of loyalty.). His Mother is someone he deeply cared for and spent the most time with growing up. She taught him a lot of what he knows and is deeply loved by Gerralt. His Wife was someone he also deeply cared for and loved but was taken early by sickness after the birth of their daughter. Lastly, his Daughter was the last blood (he knows of) left in his family. He loved her very deeply and took especially good care of her. Gerralt cares deeply about his family and considers close friends' families as well. Gerralt has no family left and only cares for the Playero family as a way to infiltrate Regalian politics.
    • What is your character the proudest of about themselves?
      • Gerralt is most proud of joining the movement to overthrow the nobles and establish a new government for the people and is excited to help in any way. He believes this is his calling in life and is willing to do anything for the movement. He is now most proud of his new gift and thinks that this will help take him to new places of power.
    • What motivates your character to move forward and better their life?
      • Friends, the movement, and his daughter. The thing that motivates him now is power and taking the Playero family name to new heights.
    • What is your character's biggest insecurity?
      • Gerralt is most insecure about forming close friendships with people. He is very hesitant to do so because he struggles with the thoughts of losing another friend or family member. Gerralt is not a lonely person but is a closed-off person.
    • What is your character's biggest fear?
      • The fear of failure is something that stressed Gerralt. The failure can be defined as a loss in a game, the Movement dying out or being crushed, and the loss of close friends (which he often blames himself for.). The new biggest fear is getting caught as a vampire and having the gift bestowed to him removed.

    "Born again."
    Life Story
    • June 18th, 258 AC
      • Gerralt was born to an Ailor family in the New Ceardian Colonies of Essalonia on June 18, 258. His father was one of the first people sent over to the New Ceardian colonies and was ex- Regalian Empire military. His Mother came later after receiving a letter that it was safe, and he had established a timber business on the outskirts of town.
    • 1 - 5
      • One late night a ferocious storm was hitting his home. As the wind wailed and the rain pelted the house Gerralt heard an ear-piercing screech from the forest. His family was asleep, but Gerralt felt drawn to the noise. He had just turned 5 the night before and took the trusty staff that his father had carved for him and ventured towards the noise. When he reached the noise there was a small pile of feathers and a nest on the ground. Walking closer stick in hand he pushed the brush aside to find a baby Great-Horned Owl. Taking the owl home he would nurse it to health and a magical bond was made between the two. He also named the owl Duolingo.
    • 5 - 10
      • Growing up he was home-schooled by his Mother at night learning about political literature, philosophy, and theatre arts. During the day he helped his Father with the timber business usually doing the math and finances (this was very basic nothing complex it was just lessons about running a business.) and more manual labor when he was older.
    • 10 - 15
      • At the age of 11, the economic depression hit his family extremely hard. The timber business was almost destroyed, and this created a lot of stress in the family. His Father would leave after dinner to go to the bar in town and drink the night away. The abuse started shortly after with his Father making Gerralt work long days and even locking him out of the house at night. His excuse was to turn him into a man, a future soldier for the Empire. The abuse became physical and markings can be seen on his back, but it is unlikely Gerralt would ever open up to someone so much. His mother had little choice, but she continued to school and clean his cut hands and back. Which is why Gerralt cares so much for his mother.
    • 15 - 20
      • His father then started training Gerralt in combat using swords, bows, and Gerralt's personal favorite, the staff. At the age of 18, Gerralt was talented at using the staff and decent with a bow and a one-handed sword. Three years later his father left the home forever leaving him with the timber business and a year after that his Mother would pass away from illness. This was a low point in Gerralt's life, but a shining light came through when he met his future wife, a Daendroquen that moved in search of a new adventure. They lived happily together and through hard work, the lumber business was close to its highest peaks ever.
    • 20 - 50
      • In July of 288 at the age of 30, Gerralt had a daughter with his Wife. Isabella was the center of their joy as a family. Sadly, three years later due to earlier health complications Isabella's mother passed away. Vowing to never become his Father, Gerralt seldomly drank and was very focused on teaching his daughter the same way his mother had taught him. Isabella grew up quickly and had a big heart for people. Saving his funds, he had hoped to surprise her on her 18th birthday with the opportunity to attend The Halctus Academy: School of Medicine. On Isabella's 16th birthday the Bone Horrors swept through the New Ceardian colonies wiping out whole towns. Gerralt a leader of the local militia fought against the Bone Horrors, but his resistance was futile. His town was nearly completely wiped blood stained the streets and Gerralt only survived after being injured and falling unconscious under a collapsed building. Returning home, he found his daughter safe in the basement he had built years prior and they were able to go unnoticed until the Bone Horrors were dealt with. Luckily in the next couple of years, he would have enough saved to send Isabella to school. Then two years later in July 306, the time was officially a couple of weeks away. The town was repopulated, and the timber business was getting by. Then under the order of the Regalian nobles started a series of wars along the border. This time border skirmishes were frequent and Gerralt felt hurried to send his daughter to school. The night before Isabella left to go to Halctus Academy a raid party attacked his cabin. Being outnumbered he was only able to take two, but a hit from behind knocked the fight out of him. The party of skirmishers did what they pleased leaving only a cold body and a broken man in a pile of ash.
    • 50 - 55
      • Gerralt drifted through the colonies until he snuck onto a ship headed for Regalia. Upon arriving he almost immediately met Isidoro who invited him in on a movement to overthrow the nobles. Gerralt's fury and hatred for the nobles, whom he blames for his daughter's death, was quick to join. Now an official member he looks to carry on his daughter's passion for change in the world and helping people, but with a more vengeful twist. With the fracturing of the Red Beret's and Isidoro Playero's status as a ward of House Krieburg's he became the second-hand man to Isidoro and attended their most recent voyage as part of the request of the Imperial government. The utter failure of the mission and the most recent arrest of Isidoro Playero ways heavily on Gerralt's mind he has been freed from the charges of treason, but he is still worried for Isidoro's life. Isidoro is dead. Everything seemed to go so quickly he was released from jail and ordered to serve the emperor. He then got in a fight with the Krieburg's and some guards losing his hand. Before his ordered execution, he told me, to ****** * ******* (it seems scratched and impossible to read) and honor him by protecting and growing the family name. The ritual performed with Cazna was a major turning point in Gerralt's life. He has remained low profile since Isidoro's death searching for a Sanguine to turn him so he could protect the Playero name for generations. As the deer hung lifeless and the blood drained into the bowl turning black Gerralt stood motionless, ready to accept his new fate and join the coven and infiltrate the families and their resources all for his, his covens, and/or the Playero's gain.

    • Fixed some minor visual mistakes, improved character story section to improve readability
    • Added my lineage
    • Added my owl, Duolingo
    • Marked in this color
    Added some more changes and tagged for Re-Review- Changes are made in color above.
    • Removed Fast Blades +1
    • Removed Light Bow +5
    These combat skills were never used and I felt they were being wasted.
    • Removed Eastern Culture +4
    • Subtracted 5 points from both Perception and Hunting Knowledge.
    Once again, it made no sense for my character to know Eastern Culture and I felt there were better fitting proficiencies.
    • Added 10 points to Squad tactic because of his past history has a garrison captain.
    • Added 5 points to Diplomat, because working with Isidoro taught him some diplomacy
    • Added 5 points to Financial, because his back story involves working as the financier for his father's business.

    Just went through a ritual to become and Alais Vampire. In this update, I added the mutations, sorted out the proficiencies, added the Vampiric Description section, and added on to his story! All changes are in the usual color! @Caelamus
