Age: 43. Gender / Pronouns: Male. He/Him. Occult: Halfvel Godborn. Core Concept Garadric is a Dwarf of the Anduin hold, one of the last Dwarven strongholds deep in the tunnels below Ellador. He is a warrior, adventurer, smith, and more, having filled a number of roles in service of his ailing people and besieged homeland. Having spent decades assisting his kin in throwing back Dakkar invasions within the catacombs of Anduin, he eventually moved onto serving his hold in another fashion. For the last ten or so years, Garadric is one of many Dwarves who travel around the known world, trying to convince leaders and states to send aid to Anduin and Grebor, or to even take back fallen Holds from the Dakkar menace. Many times, this has led to trading favors with people, embarking him on all manner of quests in exchange for aid. Presently, he continues this task, now in Regalia. Appearance Information Like all of Duindún’s folk, Garadric is stout and bulky. Despite his low stature, he is strong-armed, willful, and thick with coal-black hair. As a Halfvel Godborn, his eyes are an ominous, glowing bright blue, with dark sclera. He can oftentimes look rather serious, but equally so can quickly turn into a joyful, boisterous fellow like any Dwarf. Unlike most of his kin, Garadric has somewhat less pronounced features, albeit with thicker brows and larger ears. He usually garbs himself in nothing too fancy, though enjoys rare-earth metals as his personal accessories. Likewise, in combat, he is known to wear thick, heavy Dwarven plate. He has a long history of serving in battle for his people, specifically against the Dakkar. Garadric is a Fornoss worshipper, though very much is focused on Dáuw, the Dwarven God-King, and Halfvel, who he retains a link with through his Godborn blessing. That being said, he is a Halfvel Marken through the grace of this blessing by birth, though he scarcely utilizes it save for dire circumstances. Garadric is a trained blacksmith, though it was never his primary job at any point in Anduin. Nevertheless, through his Dwarven blood, he is very capable of the craft. Garadric is very well-traveled, due to his role as a sort of adventuring ambassador for his people. He roams across the known world, doing all he can and taking on many quests in order to win aid for the holds and help stay the hand of extinction, or even overcome it. As a Dwarf, Garadric is a natural drinker, feaster, and merryman. In his eyes, any good Dwarf should be capable of such festivity at any given moment, and he finds much joy in tavern-going as a result, and can often be found there.
