    GALERION'S ATHENAEUM

    Archive of The Written Word
    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

    ━| General Information |━

Galerion's Athenaeum is a privately owned library, archive, and general storehouse of various amounts of written works. While primarily, the contents of the Athenaeum are mystical in nature, the archive does contain numerous combinations and permutations of various topics. The contents range from the mundane to magical, with everything in between. Since the Athenaeum is privately owned and operated, the collection is ever expanding and growing.

The curator of the Athenaeum is it's namesake: Galerion. Galerion is a libarian and scholar with decades of experience, and has opened his library with the purpose of providing a comfortable, quiet, and safe place for anyone with interest to take it upon themselves to expand their mental horizons.

━| Features of the Athenaeum |━
The first floor of the Atheneaum is the bulk of what the building has to offer. It features shelves reaching to the equivilant of two stories, overflowing with books, tomes, manuscripts, compendiums, and all manner of written works by various authors. One can easily notice that there is no place for one to purchase anything, and that would be exactly correct. As this is a private collection, Galerion's Athenaeum does not function like a bookstore would, and only sells written works on a case-by-case basis. Library-goers are encouraged to do their reading on-site, and in the future, the basement of the building will be complete and open, which will features comfortable seating, desks, couches, with ample space and quiet for anyone to study, read, and learn in. In some situations, books can be allowed to be "borrowed". Interested parties can inquire about this with Galerion himself, but in general, a book will be leant out to someone for an agreed amount of time, with it expected to be returned by the time's due date. If not, there will be a late fee, agreed upon by the party of course, and if still not returned, it will be considered stolen, and the crime reported to the authorities.

The second floor of the Athenaeum is a small cafe. Anyone is permitted to help themselves to the various amounts of flavoured and unflavoured teas and kaffees, along with the modest pantry of snacks fit to energize and sate any libaray attendant. There is a small booth, able to seat up to four guests, along with a modest balcony overlooking Queen Wall Street.

As previously stated, the Athenaeum will open a study/sitting area in the basement eventually, but is currently under construction!

    ━| Location Information |━

Galerion's Athenaeum is located at No. 19, Queen Wall. If one were facing the Golden Willow, they would only need to turn to their right, and proceed to the first intersection with the tree in the middle. Take a left, and it's the third building on your right. A map is also provided to make it even easier!

The Athenaeum can and will hire employees who are interested in working here! Duties would include: Keeping books dusted, maintained, and safe. Attending to guests, helping them find the book they're looking for, or anything related. [Working at a library like this involves a lot of making up books and expositing random lore on the fly. I will be a good bit particular about who I bring into this, as the capacity to do such rp is a must have :-3]. Galerion will only ever need a couple employees at maximum, so there will be situations where you could be rejected simply because there would be nothing for you to do! Regardless, anyone interested in working here can simply reply to this post with a letter to Galerion, it's nothing fancy!

Galerion himself, however, is always looking for people interested in working for him on other projects. When he recieves funding and sponsors at various points, he will go on expeditions and scholarly adventures to uncover new books, artifacts, and other related items. People interested in accompying him on these can always approach him and talk to him about it! People good at digging holes in nondescript locations for long periods of time are generally preferable. Other scholar wishing to collaberate with him are equally welcome, for any project really. These things are generally case-by-case, so if you have something, simply write him a letter, or find him IC!
