FROM THE DESK OF THE FOREIGN MINISTER MILENA CADIEUX DU LIERRE. DECLARATION OF INTENT AND OPENINGS WITHIN THE MINISTRY 10 JULY 309 AC. INTENT. The Foreign Minister intends to build an active, functional Ministry composed of driven Diplomats and Advisors who will make a difference and improve their Empire and the world of our Empire at large. The Ministry believes that an effort should be made to bring each part of the Empire closer in, but that some priorities take further immediacy over the rest due to the ongoing and rapidly shifting geopolitical situation. No longer can the Ministry linger at the sidelines. Now is the time that the work begins. The current immediate priority states of the Ministry are, in no specific order: The Governate of Daenshore. The Kingdom of Nordskag. The Gallovian Principality. The Ithanian Sovereignty. The Songaskian Masaya. The Ashal Free States. The Qadir Collective. Hadar. Ellador. Anyone interested in working with the above states, or ones not listed, pen a letter to Milena Cadieux du Lierre at the Pommeaux estate. OPENINGS. States will be handled in teams of two to three, lead by the Minister, who will focus on developing solutions for specific states that catch their primary and secondary interests. The Diplomacy Cabinet will be composed of both Diplomats and Advisors, who both fulfill important roles in the Cabinet. Even if one lacks education on the finer points of diplomacy, the Ministry believes that those with differing viewpoints have something to offer and opens its arms to unorthodox members in the form of Advisors. Advisors may go on delegations as a possibility, subject to the Minister’s approval, with supervision from a Diplomat, and only after significant preparations have been made to ensure that no offense occurs. They will have specific and specialized roles on the delegation that suit their skillsets. Diplomats will go on delegations as a certainty. Being prepared by their schooling, the Minister can send them unsupervised and take full advantage of their present skills to benefit the Empire where they can work best, trusting that their prior experience will carry them further. All delegations and resources will be arranged by the Minister to ensure quality, accuracy, and that trips are well provided for. Any delegation not arranged by the Minister is absolutely a personal mission and is not sponsored or endorsed on any account by the Minister or the Ministry at large, and likewise, delegations not arranged by the Minister do not have any power to barter, negotiate, or otherwise make deals. To be a diplomat, One must have diplomatic schooling from one of the following schools: Regalian Diplomatic Academy. Eälessa College for Tact. Collegiate d’Évraux. One must be willing to work with anyone, despite disagreements and differences, for the betterment of one’s Empire. One must be available to be sent on delegations when necessary, even when it overrides personal agendas. One must not have a significant criminal record or otherwise poor public reputation and decorum. So long as one is properly educated, there is no prior experience necessary. Trust that this Ministry will aim to build a resume for you. To be an advisor, One must present a unique view, talent, or skill that may be used in a diplomatic situation. One must be willing to study and learn of other cultures and values, in order to not cause offense. One must be willing to work with anyone, despite disagreements and differences, for the betterment of one’s Empire. One must be available to be sent on delegations when necessary, even when it overrides personal agendas. One must not have a significant criminal record or otherwise poor public reputation and decorum. Formal education and experience are not necessary to advise but are preferred. All hirings go through the Minister. Open House hiring events will occur over the next few days, where interviews will occur in one room of the Pommeaux estate, and opportunities to meet, greet, and get to know your peers of the Foreign Ministry will be given in the other.
