- The Shademarsh Colony attempts to pull money from the government and du Brierüst back from the curing of the disease, but finds that all the money was spent as budget as stipulated by the government. Pension masters inform the Shademarsh that attempting to hold back the finances would probably not have been a good idea, given how aggressive the Finance Ministry has been with securing their investments, and how likely it would have been that the Colony would have come across as incompetent and inable to cure if they had skimmed the money budgets.
- The Shademarsh Colony attempts to figure out pre-emptive theories and tactics to avoid future diseases. They find nothing however, as the state of feudal life in the provinces is simply too varied, or too complicated to comprehensively tackle. While the major cities have sewers and clean hygiene, the countryside does not. The sanitary conditions at the harbors of the major cities are often in fact worse than the pig stens of the countryside, but this is not because of neglect, purely because of the sheer amount of traffic. It is speculated that trying to pre-empt future diseases would cost investments of over dozens of millions of regals all across the Empire, and it takes only one weak link in the shield to cause it all to topple.
- House von Drachenburg sends 5,000 Regals to support the Cantons of Genevaud to stem the tide of the feudal ambitions of one of the local nobles. This remains effective, for now.
- House Avalorn pays 5,000 Regals for morale propoganda for its frontline troops, and another 1,000 Regals to both House Howlester and Typhonus to thank them for their work in the war.
- House Avalorn additionally triggers their special capacity: using an ancient artifact and figuring out its uses. An artifact they end up using turns out to be an ancient Allorn Keystone, which somehow manages to target a local warehouse and zap thousands of kilos of expensive spices out of existence, or somewhere else nobody knows, causing an immediate trade bubble burst of the local economy. House Avalorn ends up losing 5,000 Regals in the process trying to compensate for the random teleportation to Estel knows where of crates of spices.
- House Yaotl pays 15,000 Regals to the Adrinne Astronomer, receiving a comprehensive report and first hand look at the Astronomer's work. (delivered privately)
- House Black funds 10,000 Regals to restore its economy, doing just that and a bit more. Then, they also provide military escorts and safe passage for Viduggla warships and trade escorts to ensure they safely arrive in the Dragenthal harbors of the south. House Black also pays another 5,000 regals to ensure the Viduggla move safely (which seems a bit overkill) and then another 15,000 Regals to discover any local rumors.
- Viduggla has, after all, instructed all its surplus weapon production resulting from the boom to funnel most of their wares for dump prices to the barons of the West Dragenthal Duchy. The Velheim Commune's mercenaries march these weapons into the area and start selling and giving them to the locals to arm the rising Schutters of the cities who are out for revenge.
- House Viduggla also pays 5,000 and a further 5,000 for a comprehensive report on the Astronomer from the North (delivered privately), while also halving the forced conscription of House Typhonus. They finally also attempt to purchase the Lutherstadt weave industry technique for 12,000 Regals, but are told to wait for Typhonus family approval, since their family is still regarded a state enemy.
- House Peirgarten chastises the Duke-Consort Rodrigo Peirgarten as the Duchess personally travels the land to accost her husband in front of the peasants, and pay for the funerals which she also attends. This does do wonders for political stability and faith in their Duchess among the people, even if it sends questionable and uncomfortable messages back to Regalia and the Imperial Court. They furthermore also attempt to investigate where the weapons come from, eventually stumbling on a warehouse with weapons somewhere in the back-lands of Lorhauser, where the crates are found with a handkerchief of noble origin with the initials L.D. The investigators however scratch their heads at this situation, since L.D could mean a lot of people, Lady Dianne of House Black, Louis Delmotte of House Delmotte, Louis d'Ivrae of house Ivrae, Lorraine d'Ortonnaise, and so forth. The information is incredibly inconclusive and seems almost so slapstick placed that it's an intentional red herring.
- Peirgarten finally offers a deal to House Ivrae to allow for all Peirgarten merchandise to travel through Ivrae without taxes and tarrifs to read Pays Sud, as long as Ivrae takes a 35% cut from the Commerce. House Ivrae gladly accepts this, re-instating 65% of Peirgarten's commerce income.
- House Harhold negotiates with the aristocratic family of Yates-Varley to make peace with the West Dragenthal Duchy, which they eventually settle upon. House Harhold troops march west to find a merchant fleet that the Duke had prepared with 30,000 regals bought to ferry them to back to the Duchy of Vlissinghelm, while Yates-Varley is given 40,000 Regals as a peace settlement, intended to rebuild and bribe the local area into settling down.
- Unfortunately, the torching hostility of House Harhold, combined with the Viduggla weapons provided strongly emboldened the West Dragenthal Duchy's hopes against House Harhold, and they were out for revenge. House Harhold's retreating army bearing white flags is ambushed by an army nearly three times the size, and nearly half the of the army is massacred as the West Dragenthalers showing no quarter and cut down surrendering and retreating men who have dropped their weapons. A ragtag eventually runs onto the transports which attempt direly to keep off the attackers following them with small skirmishing weapons. Harhold's army is soundly routed back home, with the West Dragenthal army positioning itself to prepare for an invasion of Vlissinghelm by the border. Obviously, Yates-Varley is told that he had no room to negotiate with Harhold and that he did not represent them or ask them to be included, so the Barons simply congratulate him on getting 40,000 Regals and send him on his merry way, declining his attempts to aid in the reconstruction of the destroyed city.
- House Typhonus continues to pay the missing wages of their force conscripted soldiers, while making more tired insults towards House Tyrannian and Viduggla. They are also told that the Margraves of Calemberg will accept an alliance for 40,000 Regals, stipulated only to be defensive and offensive towards the Velheimers. Finally, the industry of weave in Lutherstadt decline any attempts by House Typhonus for state assistance in their work.
