Spoiler: Expansion Describe your character’s position in Regalia. Fion came to Regalia in search and hope of making a name for her family within the noble scene as well as widening her knowledge on Regalia. She currently lives with her grandfather in his home that's in the merchant district. Describe your character’s upbringing. Fionola was born within Eriu-Innis like her extended family but was soon taken on a ship away from it all after finding out she was going blind. She was brought to Opper Calem in hopes of her family their being able to aid the poor girl with her dying sight. With the lack of medical knowledge where her family was she was sent back to Eriu-Innis but was soon hailed back by her grandfather.. Her elder siblings stayed within the Eriu-Innis area while she grew up with her three cousins. Describe any secondary ambitions your character may have. She wishes to become a scholar despite her blindness. She wants to get her sight back. Skill Information School: School of History Discipline of Post-Cataclysm Level: Learned Source: A tutor that worked with the family and then a private tutor paid for by a noble house. Skin Color: Pale Clothing: Usually found wearing more simpler clothing with dull colors such as blues and grays. Height: 5’3 Body Build: Dainty Weapon of Choice: Cane Spoiler: Expansion Describe the Character’s facial features. One thing that catches most people’s attentions when they meet Fiona is her dulled down eyes. As well as the dull fire colored hair of hers as well, usually kept back and out of her face not that it matters. Her face has a more diamond shape with small ears and the fact that her face is dusted with freckles. Describe the Character’s body. She is more on the smaller side of the Claith’s, having been a mix of both Old Ceardian and Claith. She managed to retain the ginger hair and green eyes on a much duller scale. Her body shape is quite petite because of that as well as how thin she is. Along with the fact she is blind she has a bad left knee, not being able to walk without a cane. She also has freckles dusting her shoulders as well. She is also rather pale mainly on the fact she spent time in Eriu-Innis. Describe the Character’s fashion appearance and accessories. Now her clothes are more peasant than most, having a usual green dress with it getting more plaid at the bottom of the dress. She also has a more puffy top to the dress along with an orange sash she wears over one of her shoulders. One noticeable thing with her is the fact she has a cane with her at all times. Either using it to help her up and down stairs or assisting her with seeing by using it to guide her. She doesn’t wear any jewelry mainly on the account of her grandfather's belief that it won’t help her in any way. Describe the character’s voice. She has the faint sound of her Claith accent however after spending so much time in Opper Calem, her accent has dulled down quite a lot. She has a very light voice despite it and tends to say ‘Huh’ or ‘Uh’ in her conversations. She also has a rather confused sounding voice most of the time in conversations seeing as she’s rather new to it all. She knows how to speak Common, Claith, and Alt-Regalish. Personality and Abilities First Paragraph: Most see her as curious when they first meet her as well as slightly helpless because of the fact that she’s blind. After people begin to speak to her she comes off as rather sarcastic, honest, and stubborn depending on what they’re talking about. She tends to be really honest about most things going on in her life, being overly trusting at that to some people. Second Paragraph: Despite her blindness she is rather confident in her abilities and isn't going to back down. She can be rather stubborn, content, and calm with herself. She is rather at peace with how she is today despite believing she could change some things such as getting smarter or better at social interactions. But with all that she is confident entirely in herself and her abilities. Third Paragraph: With her family members she can be quite the bold and humorous girl, always cracking jokes either about them or about her lack of sight. She can also be even more honest with them to the point of being blunt with them. Around people she likes she tends to get nervous easily, something that is rather odd with her that can shift her personality entirely. Fourth Paragraph: Fio is neutral in nature, meaning she tries to not get involved in things that doesn't concern her. And the fact that its hard to do much while blind yet she does have her moments of lawful good towards certain things. She is willing to help out those she can but can be rather hesitant if lives are on the line and she can't do much about it. Talents Eidetic Memory: Because of her lack of sight she has managed to retain and remember whatever she is told or hears. She can identify and define the difference between two people because of her enlightened hearing. With this she tends to be able to learn things rather easily with tutors and not having to write things down as much or at least in her case having a scribe around to assist her. History Knowledge: After being tutored by a teacher hired by her family for her needs, she has been able to excel within the scholarly type views. She enjoys learning about the history of the empire and with her eidetic memory, she is able to remember most things rather well. Weaknesses Blind: A major weakness with her is the fact she had lost her sight as a young child due to natural causes. Her sight had failed her and now she either needs help when going around or needs a cane with her to help guide her. She relies strictly on sound, touch, taste, and smell seeing that her sight isn’t with her anymore. Because of this she tends to have a great fear of being in quiet areas by herself and usually taps her cane on the ground to get some sort of sound. Weak Left Knee: After some exploring when she was younger and losing her sight, she had misstepped and fell into a creak. However it badly damaged her left knee rather badly, breaking it. She now requires a cane when walking up and down stairs or she’d be in immediate pain or will fall over because of really poor balance. Tapping her cane. - This stems from boredom and having a need to do something with her hands. This is really just a bored habit she has. “Huh?” - She tends to say ‘Huh’ a lot as a sign to show she’s either nervous or unsure about what she’s talking about. Idly looking around. - She does this out of the fact that she doesn’t want to stare at someone for too long to make them uncomfortable. Describe your character’s skills. Speaking Languages - She doesn’t have any writing skills but it’s made up for her ability to learn language rather easily via speaking. By the age of 3 she had begun to learn how to speak both common and claith as well as walk, constantly pestering her elder siblings. Around the age of 6 she had begun to loose her sight, being sent away to Opper Calem where her grandfather lived at the time with her cousin in hopes of finding a way to stop the oncoming blindness. By the age of 10 she had lost her sight entirely but had managed to enjoy the last few years of having sight by spending time with family, soon being sent back to Eriu-Innis with some of her older cousins. Teen Years At the age of 12 she had begun to get used to her lack of vision, walking around with a cane at this point in time. Badly injured herself after falling into a river near her home, her brothers having to help the sobbing and broken girl out. She had been put on bedrest because of it, her knee being badly broken and didn't properly heal entirely. Around the age of 14 she had been introduced to a traveling historian of the wonders of Regalian history. She was soon sent back to her family's home in Opper Calem after she begged them to let her go study with the help of her extended family to pay for it. With that she studied with a tutor until she reached the age of 20 before leaving to Regalia. Recent Years She recently came to Regalia, soon meeting up with her brothers once more and deciding to open up shop within the city.
