The letter and an attached diary would reach the headquarters of the Ironwolf Legion. From there a Legionnaire would ensure that the parcel would find it's way to those of House Norrvakt. The diary is old and leather bound. Cracks adorn it's sides, but the pages inside are still legible and in tact. The letter itself would be relatively new in terms of parchment and writing. It couldn't be more than a few weeks old at most, the more likely case is that it is a week. Should the diary be open it would contain fonts written in d'Ithanie. The letter itself written in Common so naturally it would be easily discernible by any who read it in it's transfer to the addressed owner. The letter reads as follows:
Captain Norrvakt,
Father, should this letter reach you I conclude to one of two options. The first being that I am deceased. The second being that my contact I have stored this with has felt the need to pass it along as he doesn't wish to be associated with me. Regardless I shall begin my point. This is what I would consider to be my final will and testament. I expect you to still be alive as you are a survivor. A warrior. You have gifted me the name of Warbeast of the Wolf's Blood, but such is not the case. That honour should be reserved to a brother of the North, perhaps Brandt? I am an Ithanian. You have told me time and again that you sense the North within my veins, but that is not the case. I wear a mask of the North, I have trained in the North, but I am not of the North. I am an Ithanian and I will die an Ithanian. You see, I do not expect to survive long. This is my first war and we both are aware of what the enemy is capable of. You think of me as this legendary warrior, but I am not that. I am but a servant, whether that be in accompaniment to death so be it. That concludes the introduction. Allow me to enter the division of my belongings.
My sole earthly possession, my Songaskian blade I gift to my niece Vivienne d'Eluise. She is not one to be taken lightly. I expect great things to come from this one. Of all the regrets I have for what I have done she is the greatest. Train her to be able to wield that blade. It will be to the dismay of my sister, but I wish for her to utilize this gift as I had not been able to. See it as a metaphor of sorts. That I wish for her to obtain everything which I could not.
As for the Blacksteel suit you gifted me, sell it, display it. I leave the decision to you Einarr. You have treated me as your family. You have provided me all I have desired and I will remember that until my death. Perhaps share the wealth of this treasure with the those closest in the Legion. I am sure Heikki could make benefit of the loot resulting from my death. But again, this is your choice to make.
To my sister I offer this diary. She is familiar with it. It details the sins I have done, both spoken and unspoken. She may find amusement from it. Knowing her I expect it to be destroyed, but this is my legacy so to speak. Yes, it speaks of the castration and much more. Have it translated if you wish to hear all about my doings in this life. Just ensure that Maddy receives it. That is all I ask.
The final gift I have to offer is for someone who I do not know if they exist. For all I know it may very well be multiple someone's. This gift I leave for my heirs. Male or female, whomever they may be. What I offer them is a name. Delacroix. This name does not come attached with titles or lands. It will not provide fame or longing, but it is a name. That is all I am able to offer them. I do not wish for my offspring to bear the name of Grey. I offer them Delacroix as an alternative.
This concludes my final will and testament. It has been a glorious journey Einarr Norrvakt. Survive, fight, win. I know you will do all of these things and more. Farewell my friend.
