His Grace, Duke Markus Delmotte of Bastarion, does herein address the denizens of the Capital City about actions most savage and cruel

On the seventh of April, the same day as this publication, statesmen from all corners of, and even abroad, the Empire returned to our fair city with news of developments far and wide; Zemlith, Finaëllamaar, Hadar, and many other regions numbered amongst these developments.

However! The development I was most interested in-- no, most appalled by, was what had transpired in Daenshore, which now threatens to occur in the archipelago too. Innocent citizens of the Empire were forced to endure the unusually cruel practice of Justifixion, a consequence of the ill-conceived ideas of House Playero, funded by noble House Mac Conall.

It should come as a surprise to nobody that House Delmotte and the Playero crime family have never been on the best of terms, with a rich history of us Delmottes putting an end to their criminal proclivities.

It was, however, until today that I had thought it best to let sleeping dogs lie, and to not exacerbate the hostilities between us. With what has been brought to the light, I now find myself compelled to reopen the wounds between our two families, and thus I provide this public testimonial and hope that it is taken into great consideration by the Lord Commander of the Violet Order and anyone else who desires a trial against the despicable Eloi Playero.

On the twenty-eighth of March, Eloi Playero requested an audience with me, to which I accepted. We hosted our conversation in my residence on the Crown Isle, where Eloi revealed to me that the nature of his visit was one of legal matters. See, he had approached me with the intent of hiring me as his attorney, to represent him against accusations of murder and treason.

Eloi Playero confided in me that he had attempted to murder an individual known as Marten van Heerenveen (Though, he didn't really have any choice but to tell me the truth about this, given that I witnessed him attempting to drown the unconscious man in the city canal before I intervened) and that he also inflicted grievous wounds on Lord Victane de Piedmont, and only stopped short of murdering the Lord because there were witnesses.

I agreed to represent Eloi Playero as his attorney on a single condition; Eloi Playero would publicly denounce the flawed ideology of Jacobinism and that he would cease all future criminal activity. However, Eloi Playero refused these terms, loudly proclaiming that he was a paragon of the Jacobin ideology and that nothing would stop him from correcting the legacy of the traitor Isidoro Playero.

So, it is with the following in mind that I request the following:

  1. The Lord Commander of the Violet Order employs this testimony in their investigations against the Playero family, but especially against Eloi Playero.
  2. The entirety of House Mac Conall denounces House Playero and publishes an apology to the victims of Eloi Playero's dastardly warmongering schemes for being financially complicit in fulfilling his plans.

Signed,
His Grace, Markus Delmotte, Duke of Bastarion

An ex-Vampire chuckled at the notice, reading it while sipping on a cup of tea within New Crookback. "He attempted to kill me.. I revealed his game to the guards, and what did they do? Nothing.. now, they learn the price of how much of a horrid man he has become. Let the rats eat him alive.. let him experience the fate he had once attempted upon my life."

"About time someone did something about this family of Jacobins." the Mage stated flatly as she read over the piece of paper.

Upon being handed the paper, Noelle immediately began reading through it, and upon reading the announcement of Eloi's crimes and the like, she broke out into a smile, standing quickly from her seat, which resulted in a wince of pain from the wounded woman.

"He's finally being called out publicly on his actions. Thank the spirit. He'll finally lay in the grave he's dug for himself."

She made way to inform Victane and Violetta

Upon the stumbling and scrapings of metals, The Mechanical Overlord gazed upon the notice amongst the streets of Regalia. Cloaked to deny his appearance to those around him, though still leaving faint scrapings for each clicking step. Gazing upon the notice, The Cratosian would give a sigh, both in relief, and in worry. As the voice would emit out.

"<F> It is about time that he has been called out... His 'employees' show no respect to my cause. And thus, such karma will always devour those who do not cover their mistakes. May they be shown purity. For it is time that his family of crime shall turn to The Undercities for guidance. Don't you two think so?"

The Overlord would hand the notice to two other figures that roamed with him. Allowing them for their input.

A Daendroque woman was following the Monstrosity of a Cratos, looking over the notice and let out a sign. She'd shake her head, looking back to the Tech Prince.
"While some of them may be flawed in their opinions, as you know well enough... I stand neutral on this. I stand with my people, even if it's the Playeros. Besides... Eloi hasn't proven to be an enemy in my eyes yet."
She would glance over the words on the notice once more, closing her eyes as the Von Kërle let out another final sigh, backing up to abandon the situation, her crimson eyes gleaming upon the blue sky in thought before she slowly descended back into the sewers.
