Fiilavandryl, or 'Van' as he is typically referred to, because no one wants to say Fiilavandryl more than once, is a genuinely neutral person. He subscribes to well-thought and supported arguments instead of emotions. As he is a Kathar and was raised with... dubious.. intentions, he finds it difficult to grasp what is generally moral in specific situations, and as such he relies on logic above all. Despite being a little apathetic, finding it difficult to walk in someone else's shoes, he is amable and typically friendly --if confronted with conflict, he prefers to try and resolve things peacefully and without bloodshed, especially his own.

If I had to compare him to a character, I'd say he's very much similar to Hoid from the Cosmere (Brandon Sanderson), personality wise.
