It is finally here! The first version of my Farah'deen map that I feel is good enough for the public's eyes. I plan for there to be more iterations, as this one is somewhat small. However, this one will give you a good idea of what to expect. Please leave any comments, suggestions, ideas, criticisms, and glitches you have of may have found.

Here are some pictures of what to expect:

This was built using World Painter, MCEdit, hand placed blocks, Etc. It was created over a period of a few weeks, testing, tweaking, and learning the different ins and outs of the tools I had at my disposal. I created and designed all Biome Objects, the spawn town, and the terrain was hand crafted using a number of custom brushes. I put a lot of time and effort into this map, juggling it in between RP, school, and homework.

While I know this will probably not ever be used on Massivecraft, I am giving it as a gift to you all, the loyal Massivecraft community, for just being so awesome! It will definitely will give you a good idea of what to expect when the real Farah'deen map is released, should it ever be.

It is great to explore, build, role-play out a trip to Farah'deen, have as a survival world, or just to look at.

Unfortunately, I was unable to make the Sultanate, as that would need to be as large as Regalia, and would be near impossible for a single man to create in a short period of time. However, I do not think it detracts from the over all appeal of the map.

The terrain was created based off the descriptions from the wiki page, real life deserts such as the Sahara, Mojave, and the Gobi, the landscape of Arizona, Nevada, and Utah from my trip out wast, and any reference pictures I could find on Google Images.

I hope you all enjoy!

Lore for the main spawn town:

After several months on the stormy seas, the Regalian fleet had finally made it to Farah'deen. While at sea, they had lost many supplies. They hugged the shore line until they saw a small village.

The fleet and soldiers attacked the small fishing town. Any Qadir found were either killed on site, executed later on, kept as prisoners, or forced into slavery. Much of the town was destroyed. The town was repaired with whatever materials the men could find.

Several missions were launched to find the Sultanate. However, each mission turned up fruitless. Many troops were lost to the harsh climate, others to sandstorms. A few, however, disappeared never to be found, presumed to be prisoners of the Sultan.

Several Sultanate troops had attacked the settlement, but were met with the armada of Regalia. The soldiers that survived were interrogated and executed. They refused to talk, even when beaten and tortured.

Several missions still go out in an attempt to look for the Sultanate, but they are all stopped in one way on another. It seems to be a ghost of the desert. An enigma that eludes all who search for it, never to be found.

If you could make some sort of server and integrate the map I'd help with making the sultanate :)

I would love to, but Monmarty might not approve of using Farah'deen, owned by Massivecraft, and I don't have the money. I would gladly make a full sultanate, though, if it would be a sort of Regalia 2. Another role-play area on Massivecraft.

Imagine if there was an Alternate Regalia, or even better, a sister continent that was previously unheard of?
That'd be cool.

I didn't mean a legitimate server, I meant one where we could work together on.

That implies having a 'legit' server. A server that can load the world and other plugins such as World Edit and VoxelSniper. And those usually cost money to rent, but it's not impossible to set one up on your own PC if you know how to port forward, but it will be very laggy compared to renting a server owned by a hosting company.

My definition of a "legitimate server" is one that has players besides you, yourself, and a few others who are helping with a project or something of the sort.

I would like to give special thanks to:
@MonMarty for giving me various tips on using world painter, as well as drawing many maps of Aloria, which were used as a reference for the shape of Farah'deen.

@Mecharic and @Ryciera for writing to Farah'deen lore.

@Joshy54100 for linking me to some custom brushes.

@themassivecraftcommunity for being so freakin' awesome!

i host private servers somethimes (usualy when i play wiht friends) , it's free, not laggy at all unless my own internet is horrible. the only difference with i private like mine server and a server like massive (as far as i know) is that you would need to connect to a Hamachi network that i own while on server like massive you don't have to do that (and these are bigger to). so what you say is incorrect as far as my knowledge reaches about this, feel free to correct me when i'm wrong somewhere
