His birth was unimpressive, though the typical pomp and grace of Altalar noble birth was bestowed to him. His childhood was spent with routine courtly education and heavy focus on finding a field that would best suit the young Fae for his large and expansive family. As he became a young adult, Faell would begin training under one of the admiral princes in the shattered remnants of the Allorn Empire, who held an affinity towards the Avalorn family. Underneath his tutor, Faell would be well versed in all aspects of maritime doctrine, advancing to the highest levels possible over a career of well over a century. During this period he would engage in petty conflicts against the Dread Empire in the north and pursue the interests of many admiral princes, serving in their fleets. Unfortunately, during one of these conflicts, Faell finds his ship boarded and he is taken as a prisoner to work in a labor camp in the far North of the Dread Empire. He does his share for many years until he is inevitably freed from his capture and rejoins the naval enterprises of the admiral princes, grown cold from his years of servitude beneath Kathar overlords. He inevitably takes some time off to be mentally evaluated and reformed into Altalar society. Over the years, Faell would become more attached and apart of the various Allorn areas, establishing trade lines in modest harmony with the scattered Altalar. When the Elven Empire went to war against the Regalian Empire, Faell was quick to enlist and swear his loyalties to the Elves. This would prove to be a poor decision against the strongest navy in the known world as the command ship which the Avalorn admiral stood was ripped to shreds by the superior cannon fire of the Regalian Navy. Faell almost lost his life from the encounter, but the powers of Altalar medicine and some magical elements salvaged him, albeit with some scarring which he was keen to hide away beneath intricate jewelry and makeup. With the alliance between the Elven Empire and the Regalian Empire, Faell reluctantly rejoins his kin beneath the shadow of the Regalians. Despite his distaste of it, he understands that it is the best and only choice he has left. Now he sits in the company of his enemy for better or for worse. As the Elves break off following what is seemingly the end of the Dread War, Faell is left in an odd balance of remaining where he is and wanting to run off with the Elven world he knew.
Moved some points around to reflect lore changes and my desire to play the character more than just being shifty in his estate. @apath
@apath did a rather in depth rework because I found myself not wanting to play the character and so I removed Istorei and added in a bit where they were a Kathar slave for a point. My hopes is this adds better depth to the character without removing anything I liked playing with them before. I reckon this is a bit of a half rewrite.
