Archived Factions V2: See Who Is Recruiting

I'd like to be able to set my faction to be 'recruiting' so other players, in search of a faction can find me. And for those looking for a faction, they should be able to see who's recruiting. This is also to reduce Global spam asking people to join their faction. What do you think?

Change your status to open, monitor who comes in and out, and close it when you don't want any more members or when you are going offline. This does not have to be coded in as there is a function already coded in that is similar to what you saying.

Recruiting or putting up a help wanted page is basically the same thing that I am saying. You can check to make sure that you get an amount of members you can work with, and then close your faction. I simply don't see why this is necessary when we already have something of that exact same sort.

I like and support this idea.

Ex: I don't want non-roleplayers in my Faction. This is an RP server, and it's one of my few requirements for joining the Fac. The others being basic etiquette and the like.

The problem is, most new players won't be frequenting the forums for a while. Further more, it's hard to determine what 'fac' to join based on the short recruiting messages via Global.

I think the OP is suggesting something similar to WoW's Guild Finder. You can post what you're about and who you're looking to recruit. Non-Factioned players could scroll through and decide what best fits their character.

I like this idea a lot. Like the command /f list, they could have another command like that but to see which factions are recruiting players. And it probably would reduce a lot of global spam.

Lol. Most of mine come on once, then never come back on again. I mass recruit so I have someone to talk to, tbh.

Today, I lost 4 more members to inactivity, and couldn't get any besides to join temporarily to help clear land for our new Ithania base..
