While this is certainly the case when she is on business, the Miramonte usually seems to have a different attitude when idly socializing. She tends to open up in these instances and show a much more joyous and passionate side to her. She could also be described as excitable, especially when discussing subjects that interest her. This is mainly prevalent when she talks about the arts, as she can and will talk a persons ear off about her beloved disciplines of sculpting and singing if not stopped. Second Paragraph | Inner Thoughts and Feelings: At heart, Esmeralda is a conniving, ambitious and driven woman. While she believes that she has found her place in the world, the Miramonte still feels the need to better herself and her family. She has a degree of self confidence, as she thinks she is capable of handling most situations that come her way; weather it be through her knowledge, social skills, or even manipulation. Even so, Esmeralda often worries about her family members. This is especially prevalent with the younger ones, seeing as she worries they may make some sort of mistake that will compromise them or the integrity of the family. Third Paragraph | To Family and Friends: To her friends, Esmeralda often shows a more humorous and dramatic side. It is not uncommon to see the Ailor overreacting in what she thinks is a comical manner, especially with subjects concerning her age. While her family is certainly not immune to these bouts of drama, the Miramonte tends to show a much more motherly side to them as well. She tries to look out for them, and will scold or care for her children and younger cousins if she believes they are in need of it. Fourth Paragraph | Morality: For the most part, Esmeralda falls into the realm of Lawful Neutral. She believes in having a functioning system of law and order, and will often try to follow said laws. This is not always the case though, as she has been known to attempt to find loopholes through various laws and manipulate the system, so to speak, to further her ambitions. These actions tend to fall on the Lawful Evil side of the spectrum, seeing as they are usually driven by self or familiar interests. Life Story Birth Esmeralda Miramonte was born as Esmeralda Fleitas on October 25, 263 A.C to a pair of wealthy Deandroquin merchants who resided in Girobalda. She would be the first of four children born to the couple. Childhood Infancy-12 Esmeralda had a fairly lax childhood that mostly consisted of lessons and playing with other children. The rest of her siblings born at various intervals throughout her childhood. At age 7, she started to receive singing lessons at the behest of her mother. She took to the lessons and grew to love singing. Teen Years 13-18 At age 13, Esmeralda started to receive lessons in commerce and banking. She was also introduced to the shadier side of the family business, being taught the craft of forgery. At age 17, her education was expanded to include the family's syndicate contacts. This was also the age that she was introduced to the man she was arranged to marry, Rafael Miramonte. The two never truly got along, but she still married him for the good of her family at age 18. Young Adult 19-30 At age 19, Esmeralda gave birth to her only two children; a set of twins, male and female, who would be named Mateo and Eleanora. Esmeralda settled easily into the lifestyle of a noblewoman. While she often avoided her husband, she found herself growing close to her fellow Miramonte women. She also started to utilize her skills in banking and commerce, and on occasion forgery and her contacts to help the Miramontes. Esmeralda also continued to develop her vocal abilities, often practicing by singing to her children or doing small performances for visitors. At age 26, Esmeralda decided to try to reconcile her differences with Rafael. While she would never grow to love him, their marriage became functional. Adult 31-Present Esmeraldas relationship with her husband continued to develop, and she soon considered him more of a bitter sweet friend. She also took an active part in raising her children as they grew, in particular teaching her daughter how to sing and allowing her to take various music lessons. As she aged, Esmeralda took a step back from working with the criminal underworld to focus on legal business ventures. She also started to put more priority on her art as her children needed her less, becoming rather passionate about sculpting and singing. Esmeraldas life continued in this fashion until her early forties, when the Miramontes suddenly lost their status as a nobel. She also had a falling out with her husband about some actions he took in the early years of their marriage that had recently come to light. Angry, the Miramonte decided to leave the families estate and travel to the city of Regalia, hoping to help regain her families lost power while also avoiding her husband.
