Epistle addressed to the various congregations of the Unionist Faith
March 30th, 308 AC
Brother Curates, esteemed Reverends, and Prelates of high distinction within the Church of the Radiant Eye, Archdiocese of the Stalwart Defender [formerly Imperial Orthodox Church], Imperial Church of the Holy Divine, Apostles of the Exalted Martyr, Church of Holy Redemption, Church of Solidarity, Bacchus Conclave, People's Church of the Golden Eye, and Holy Blood of Theomar greetings and fraternal benedictions.
I greet you now through our common faith in the Spirit and pray that we may be led in accordance with the Divine Will therein possessed.
To begin with a brief introduction, I Reverend Ludolfus Voch Trost am a cleric of the Church of the Radiant Eye in simple service to His High Holiness, High Exarch Aelfric Harhold. Until recently I was a seminary professor within the Divine Theology and Ecclesiology departments of a seminary of little renown. Having left my duties as an educator, I move now to minister to the Regalian Faithful in a pastoral role and ask all of your wisdom, prayers, and guidance as I embark on this path.
In exercising this ministry, while walking down the wide streets that our Imperial lands have afforded us, I stopped into a rather large estate and met with its proprietor. After a brief discussion of my cloistered past, being cooped up in the seminary and not engaging with the Regalian populous, he graciously obliged to enlighten me as to the current state of affairs among our common Humanum stemming from this most precarious rift that shall be addressed.
Therefore, I write to the collective Unionist presbyterate entreating answers and submit my inquiry and petitions below:
Brothers, I first speak of damage this rift has caused. It is undeniable that great physical and aesthetic damage has resulted from the rift brought on by these detestable Voidal forces. However, I speak now of the spiritual damage that has resulted. We have lost a venerable symbol of our Faith. The Cathedral stood erect as a symbol of the power of the Imperial Spirit and the unity of our faith in this Spirit. It was a symbol of the communion of piety which we clerics, amid much diversity of interpretation and outward appearance, found our common unity in. In truth, the Cathedral was a bastion of the very nature of our professed Faith, a union of Unionism which has been stricken down. Venerable brethren we can not allow this, neither can be quiet as we were robbed of our holy property. We must consider the image this portrays to our lay faithful, faithful who have witnessed perhaps the greatest feat of destruction in their lifetimes. It is our duty to send a message that this loss is not indicative of any weakening in our ecclesiastical bodies. Therefore, we should commence a grand construction of another temple in safe distance away from the "Voidal Clicks" what-have-you. We have the duty to show Regalians that we are united in our common service to the Spirit. A new, grand, and expediently constructed common moot place and house of worship is a symbol that we can project to show our true strength.
Brothers, the second - or - latter inquiry and discussion I present before you all regards the whereabouts of the Dias of Faith. With all of the uncertainty and destruction we have witnessed around our Cathedral's grounds, I submit this inquiry: was the Dias moved before said destruction? As we all know, the Dias is a worshipful relic of our Unionist Religion, it is a powerful tool of the Divine, and it is an immensely potent asset in times of uncertainty. I posit this inquiry: If there was ever a time when we need call onto the Spirit in supplication, to be Divinely consoled, is it not now? I further plea for a response to these inquiries as I suggest we make pilgrimage to this relic of yore, prostrating ourselves, and informing the Spirit of our collective will [which of course is already known] to find remedy for all of this confusion. I ask that we faithful presbyters of Unionism make vigil, reciting the Verse of the Praying, which I include below, with great conviction.
It is in the Spirit alone that we should be led, it is by the Spirit alone that we lead. I submit these statements and inquires before you venerable brethren out of no authority but in total submission to the Will of the Spirit. May we be led to bring hope to our faithful in this turbulent time. May we assure them in peace that the Spirit guides and protects all of Humanum.
Listen to my words, Imperial Spirit. Listen to my lamentations and hear me, oh Imperial Spirit upon high. Hear my cry for help, my Holy Highest and my Divine, for I pray to You as a Human of the Faith.
For You, Imperial Spirit, who is not pleased with the sins of the non believers and non Humans. You hate all who do wrong and destroy all who lie. Bless me and my house for our service to You.
I, by Your great Love, can enter Your house and be delivered from death and pain in this mortal world. Lead me to righteousness, astray from my enemies and into your hands, oh Imperial Spirit.
Surely Spirit, you bless the righteous, you surround them with your favor as a shield from sin. This is my prayer, and my request for the service to the Imperial Crown and the Spirit beyond.
Your colleague and brother in faith,
Reverend Ludolfus Voch Trost of the Church of the Radiant Eye
