Epistle to fellow Preachers

Epistle addressed to the various congregations of the Unionist Faith

March 30th, 308 AC

Brother Curates, esteemed Reverends, and Prelates of high distinction within the Church of the Radiant Eye, Archdiocese of the Stalwart Defender [formerly Imperial Orthodox Church], Imperial Church of the Holy Divine, Apostles of the Exalted Martyr, Church of Holy Redemption, Church of Solidarity, Bacchus Conclave, People's Church of the Golden Eye, and Holy Blood of Theomar greetings and fraternal benedictions.

I greet you now through our common faith in the Spirit and pray that we may be led in accordance with the Divine Will therein possessed.

To begin with a brief introduction, I Reverend Ludolfus Voch Trost am a cleric of the Church of the Radiant Eye in simple service to His High Holiness, High Exarch Aelfric Harhold. Until recently I was a seminary professor within the Divine Theology and Ecclesiology departments of a seminary of little renown. Having left my duties as an educator, I move now to minister to the Regalian Faithful in a pastoral role and ask all of your wisdom, prayers, and guidance as I embark on this path.

In exercising this ministry, while walking down the wide streets that our Imperial lands have afforded us, I stopped into a rather large estate and met with its proprietor. After a brief discussion of my cloistered past, being cooped up in the seminary and not engaging with the Regalian populous, he graciously obliged to enlighten me as to the current state of affairs among our common Humanum stemming from this most precarious rift that shall be addressed.

Therefore, I write to the collective Unionist presbyterate entreating answers and submit my inquiry and petitions below:

Brothers, I first speak of damage this rift has caused. It is undeniable that great physical and aesthetic damage has resulted from the rift brought on by these detestable Voidal forces. However, I speak now of the spiritual damage that has resulted. We have lost a venerable symbol of our Faith. The Cathedral stood erect as a symbol of the power of the Imperial Spirit and the unity of our faith in this Spirit. It was a symbol of the communion of piety which we clerics, amid much diversity of interpretation and outward appearance, found our common unity in. In truth, the Cathedral was a bastion of the very nature of our professed Faith, a union of Unionism which has been stricken down. Venerable brethren we can not allow this, neither can be quiet as we were robbed of our holy property. We must consider the image this portrays to our lay faithful, faithful who have witnessed perhaps the greatest feat of destruction in their lifetimes. It is our duty to send a message that this loss is not indicative of any weakening in our ecclesiastical bodies. Therefore, we should commence a grand construction of another temple in safe distance away from the "Voidal Clicks" what-have-you. We have the duty to show Regalians that we are united in our common service to the Spirit. A new, grand, and expediently constructed common moot place and house of worship is a symbol that we can project to show our true strength.

Brothers, the second - or - latter inquiry and discussion I present before you all regards the whereabouts of the Dias of Faith. With all of the uncertainty and destruction we have witnessed around our Cathedral's grounds, I submit this inquiry: was the Dias moved before said destruction? As we all know, the Dias is a worshipful relic of our Unionist Religion, it is a powerful tool of the Divine, and it is an immensely potent asset in times of uncertainty. I posit this inquiry: If there was ever a time when we need call onto the Spirit in supplication, to be Divinely consoled, is it not now? I further plea for a response to these inquiries as I suggest we make pilgrimage to this relic of yore, prostrating ourselves, and informing the Spirit of our collective will [which of course is already known] to find remedy for all of this confusion. I ask that we faithful presbyters of Unionism make vigil, reciting the Verse of the Praying, which I include below, with great conviction.

It is in the Spirit alone that we should be led, it is by the Spirit alone that we lead. I submit these statements and inquires before you venerable brethren out of no authority but in total submission to the Will of the Spirit. May we be led to bring hope to our faithful in this turbulent time. May we assure them in peace that the Spirit guides and protects all of Humanum.

Listen to my words, Imperial Spirit. Listen to my lamentations and hear me, oh Imperial Spirit upon high. Hear my cry for help, my Holy Highest and my Divine, for I pray to You as a Human of the Faith.

For You, Imperial Spirit, who is not pleased with the sins of the non believers and non Humans. You hate all who do wrong and destroy all who lie. Bless me and my house for our service to You.

I, by Your great Love, can enter Your house and be delivered from death and pain in this mortal world. Lead me to righteousness, astray from my enemies and into your hands, oh Imperial Spirit.

Surely Spirit, you bless the righteous, you surround them with your favor as a shield from sin. This is my prayer, and my request for the service to the Imperial Crown and the Spirit beyond.

Your colleague and brother in faith,

Reverend Ludolfus Voch Trost of the Church of the Radiant Eye

To Reverend Trost and the various Congregations of Unionism,

March 30th, 308 AC
Welcome Regalia Reverend Ludolfus Voch Trost. I'm sure the untimeliness of your induction into the Holy Regalian Ministry has been cumbersome, and I am willing to lend a helping hand if it is within my power and rights to do so.

On the topic of the destruction of the Cathedral, it is indeed a great shame. Many great Curates, Reverends, and Supreme Reverends walked and held sermons upon the great Cathedral. The Cathedral was truly magnificent. It was a place of comfort for many. Although the fall of a sacred symbol of Unionism has been a huge blow for numerous individual, including myself, the damage done upon the Cathedral does not dictate the fortitude of Unionism.

"The Divine Spirit has shown us the way, and the way we shall follow. For through my hands, its will shall become manifest, but mine hands are only two of many. For thousands of hands are required to carry the burden and prominence of our future and fate.." - An excerpt from the Second Creed
As long as Ailors, Altalar, Unionists of whatever race and background have faith in the Spirit, Unionism will not fall. As long as our hands and the hands of thousands carry the burden of our fate, Unionism will survive. The fall of the Cathedral is not a threat to Unionism. The Clickers who brutally ravage the lives of our brothers and sisters, the monsters who hinder our progress are. Brothers and sisters, we must realise that Unionism is not held together by an esteemed building. It is held together by the combined faith of Unionists, and our determination to reach the Great Beyond.

As such, it is of my belief that rather than use money and materials for rebuilding the Cathedral, those said things should go into fighting the Clickers. The Clickers are a threat to Regalia, and a threat to Unionism. I'm sure that Regalia will fight and win against these indomitable monsters, but to minimise damages to the faith, we must aid in the effort. The Spirit must be sure of our victory as the Dais has not awakened. I unfortunately do not know the state or location of the dias.

As the Cathedral has survived for many years, Unionism will survive- But unlike the Cathedral, we will not fall. We will fight the Clickers, and we shall triumph. Unionism is a faith noted for its faithful. A faith noted for progress. A faith noted for strength. Throughout periods of great grief, of great suffering, these attributes have not faltered, and I'm sure that is the case in the present, and will be the case in the future.

Signed,
Prelate Albert Kreiburg

Spirit's greetings and blessings upon all who read this response. It is firstly with great sadness that I write this letter. With each passing day, the pain of the Cathedral's fall has set in. The pain of a great symbol of faith crumbling to the ground by the hands of daemons who care only for the destruction of our Holy Empire. Yet, I point my brothers to the point I made in my recent Reverential Address. As well, I echo the words of my brother of cloth, the Prelate Albert Kreiburg.

The Cathedral was and I remind you, still is a great symbol of faith. A towering structure with its beautiful halls and stained glass windows. Its font, everything within the exterior and interior was made to show the magnificence and power of the Holy Spirit. To offer a place of worship that represents the grand and powerful Unionist religion to all who enter, Unionist or non-believer. It has been seen on the skyline for decades and it's now one tower can still be seen.

Even with what the Grand Cathedral represented. How it was a symbol of faith, I will remind all that in these times of crisis, when the Cathedral has fallen, when the streets built by good Unionists have split and cracked, when the bridge to the powerful fort of Greygate has crumbled we must be that symbol. We, the faithful of Unionism must represent our faith. We must stand tall like the Cathedral. We must be powerful. We must be strong. We must last in this time of crisis just like the Cathedral. Even though one of the Grand Cathedral's towers has fallen, the remainder of the structure still stands tall. We must stand tall now even when pieces of us have collapsed.

To the point of a place of worship, I do not believe a grand place of worship is necessary to pray. To hold mass, especially in this time of crisis. I will remind my brothers and sisters of the faith of the Church of the Lady of Salvation. While it is not as grand in appearance as the Cathedral. While it is not as large as the Cathedral. While it does not tower above all others in the Regalian skyline, it is still just as grand as the fallen Cathedral. When it opens its doors, it houses worshipping Unionists. It serves its purpose to house and facilitate the various ways of worship to the Imperial Spirit. To facilitate the sermons of Reverends. The prayers of the faithful. The unity of Unionism. My point is, no matter what Church you pray in, as long as you are united in prayer, it is a magnificent symbol of faith and while the Cathedral is a great symbol of faith, until it is rebuilt we must last and we can in prayer, in unity, and in trust of the Spirit.

On the next point, the Dais of Faith. I shall keep this short as there is not much to say. To my knowledge it was not moved out of the Cathedral. The Cathedral is its home first. Secondly, it would be difficult to move. Lastly, the Cathedral's fall and the Clicker Crisis was rather unexpected. I will also state that to my great disappointment we will likely not be able to visit the Dais until this crisis is over. The structural integrity of the Cathedral at this point is not sound and any form of pilgrimage into the Cathedral could mean death for those who venture inside. While it may be a worthy cause, I believe in these trying times the Empire needs everyone and these risks would not be worth it.

I will say this now. Since we cannot communicate with the Holy Imperial Spirit through the Dais of Faith now as we have in the past at times, we must rely even more on prayer. While prayer is a one way communication, there is no true answer, I will assure all that the Spirit hears. The past Emperors hear you. The Herons hear you. Those you pray to in the Everwatch hear you and watch over you. I will also say that we must as always trust in His Imperial Holiness Alexander I. He is the vessel. He shall give us religious guidance from the Spirit as the Emperor has done for hundreds of years. Trust in these things and even without the Dais of Faith we will be able to communicate our worries, our hopes, and our prayers to the Holy Imperial Spirit.

With this point made, I conclude this response with a prayer.

O' Holy Imperial Spirit,
In these times you watch over us,
The Imperial Throne stands tall despite the crisis,

With you Unionism remains,
And yet it is our duty to represent you on Aloria,
To spread your faith,
To spread your guidance,
To spread your rule to all corners of Aloria,

It is with you we find victory,
It is with you we find comfort,
It is with you we find our destiny,

As always we devote ourselves to you,
We devote ourselves to the cause,
The cause you dictate in the Creeds,

We shall stand tall with your light behind us,
Sword and shield we fight in your name,
Against the daemons which would have our work crumble,

Our loyalty remains ever present,
We remain ever strong,
Our faith remains ever bright,

May you guide us,
Protect us,
Bless us,
Oratario Paean!

As He always has, may the Spirit guide you, protect you, bless you. May you face the challenges before us as we always have, as mountains that can be climbed and conquered. These mountains shall not be treated as ultimate barriers. They are trials upon the Great Way and as always we shall climb them and be brought to flat fields, times of peace.

Oratario Paean, brothers and sisters of the faith! May His light reach you and may the flame of faith inside of you burn more than it ever has!
