Hey guys. So, I've been on-and-off the server for around 4 year and a half years.
Throughout me entire time on this server, I've gone through many names, have been in different combat scenarios with different factions, over different disputes, over different wars. I have to say, all the PvP combat and even Roleplay aspects that feed into it, were all immersive and amazing.
I've never had an idea to improve the Roleplay-PvP aspect of the server, but as of today I had an idea and suggestion.
While raiding someone, they could bunker up inside of their base, and never come outside. This would anger a lot of players that love raiding and love PvP, because of the fact of them being able to ignore it.
On some servers, cannons are put into action, and can do damage to buildings and structures. Players could build obsidian cannons, and use those to destroy walls and raid enemies. It was a great way to enter a base and start raids, but would always leave a faction base destroyed, dismantled, and defaced, and would really ruin how something looked.
However, while discussing the idea in General Chat at around 3:00 AM, I came up with an idea.
While raiding, cannons can be used to attack and destroy walls and bases, allowing entry and being able to start a real-feeling raid scenario, which is what a lot of people love! When these cannons are fired, they will destroy blocks but may cost a little to use.
After having the blocks destroyed, after a time-set period (Maybe 3-5 hours, maybe more, maybe less), the blocks will return to their original position that the faction had claimed, and the faction can continue building etc.
I also thought about initially having the chests also be destroyed, the items would drop, and the chests would respawn the same, but without the items. This will allow people to raid and even get some loot back out of it as well.
Leave a comment with some thought, I for one would love to see this kind of aspect become initiated in Massivecraft. Thanks everyone!
TLR: Some players want cannons, cannons make things look bad, make it so cannon destruction replenishes after 3-5 hours.
