The Petty Kingdom of Englaland is recruiting! Englaland is an Anglo-Saxon themed faction focused on comradeship, coziness, loyalty and warfare. It is welcoming to all people. Roleplayers, survivalists, PvP'ers, you name it. For we value the freedoms of each man or woman. Which is why every new Saxon will be granted his own home, his own farm and a job based on his skills. In exchange, he is expected to farm his own food and supply his own gear for the Fyrd. What the **** is a Fyrd? I hear you ask. The Fyrd is Englaland's mixture of an army (in Mineman context this'd be a couple of full-time PvP'ers) and a levy (in Mineman context this'd be the cannon fodder that get raped during battles). Every Saxon will have a set of gear ready for him should battle come, so in theory every man online can be called to arms with all provisions provided. However, every Saxon is expected to expand his own arsenal of supplies during peacetime, so that we may always be ready to take up arms. Be it to defend our huts or to go on a cattle raid at a neighbouring tribe. Ranks & titles Ranks and titles are rather flexible here. As mentioned above, 'jobs' can be assigned according to skills, though these are merely titles to recognise someone for his skills or actions. As no Saxon is tied to one job, but rather works for the well-bering of the entire kingdom. An example of this is the above mentioned gathering of his own gear for wartime. We do however, have ranks to seperate newcoming Saxons from the veterans. This is done in numbers ranging from I to V. Rank I being a complete newcomer to Englaland or Massivecraft in general. Rank V being a veteran officer of Englaland. Some examples of this would be: {Ceorl I} <name>: This would be a new peasant (Ceorl). {Smithe III} <name>: This would be someone focusing mainly on producing gear (Smithe) while he's used to the faction and its people. {Hearthweru IV} <name>: This is a veteran of Massive and/or Englaland, and a good full-time PvP'er.
