She is used to wearing her heart on her sleeve so hiding such emotions would be foreign to her. Humming sea shanties is common when she finds herself a little cheery than usual in the morning. How would your character respond to experiencing Fear? Her fear is usually followed by action whether it’s taking her dagger out or fleeing the scene. It would be rare to see her freeze in the face of danger. This quick thinking could be from her time sailing through storms or possibly from walking corrupt streets. She’s heard many differentiating opinions. Her best conclusion would be to avoid causing trouble in that sense. How does your character feel about Races other than their own? She is always curious and tries her best to be respectful. She has seen many different kinds of people in her travels. She can’t help but wonder if they have something new to tell. How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths? Her father followed the faith of Estel and her mother never liked to hold onto faith. After learning about a few other religions Emilia is undecided but has a great respect for nature. How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world? She is incredibly curious but also cautious, possibly even afraid. Too many stories of evil sorcerers and less of fairy godmothers could be the source of this. How does your character feel towards their family? Emilia is incredibly fond of her family. She has also grown up with the idea of ‘family is what you make it’. In her eyes family can always be found with the right people. What is your character the most proud of about themselves? Emilia always prides herself in helping where she can. Her continuous motivation despite setbacks is a close second. What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? Her idea of it is that when she’s old and frail her contributions to knowledge would have affected the world in a good way. In the end she’d be a very wise woman who had lived a fun and fulfilling life. What is your character's biggest insecurity? She worries how her stubborn and sometimes brash nature affects her character. She was never so aware of it when most of her life was on and off a ship. But, now in a new environment, it brings more unrest than she previously thought. What is your character's biggest fear? Her most recent fear is leaving Regalia empty handed and, on a bigger scale, finding herself with no way to prove herself. Relationships (Optional) Zaos Dafiel (Father) Carina Vargas (Mother) Life Story (Required) Emila was born to a young pair of parents, Zaos Dafiel and Carina Vargas.The couple was poor, but optimistic in their search to belong somewhere in Daendroque. Emilia spent her younger years in the care of her father while her mother took on a job as a sailor. Both Zaos and Carina were amazing storytellers in their own way, which captivated young Emilia’s interest. Her father was happy to read her books till she herself could read them and her mother always had a story to tell when she returned from sea. It was when Emilia got old enough to sail that her mother proposed that the family could live a life on the water and explore the world. Zaos refused and suggested that the family stay, settle down, and live a peaceful life. Emilia always dreamed of traveling the world but not without her father’s approval. It was a simple discussion that turned into a year-long argument that Emilia still regrets. Stress in the family only got worse in the passing months till Carina presented Emilia with an ultimatum, Sneak out with her to travel the world or be left behind with her father. Emilia agreed at the last moment, packing her things and setting off in the dead of night. Emilia didn’t take long to adapt to her new environment. She spent many of her teenage years at sea alongside her mother, thriving on ships, sea shanties, and storms. Emilia learned many of her skills during this time. Her mother, for example, taught her how to use a dagger and keep her belongings from pickpockets. The most important interest in Emilia’s eyes however were stories, history, any information she could get her hands on. Her passion grew more and more till someone said she’d do wonderful in Regalia. Curiosity overtook Emilia and after many tries and fails, she found herself in the capital city.
