• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

When someone does, for example, a EXP boost, unless you are on at the time you have literally no clue its happening unless you remember to check ./s e, or someone tells you. A simple fix for this would be to set up a bot or something by staff, that puts an automatic message in chat, lets say every 30 minutes, to remind people a event is paid for and going.

I feel it would be more effective to have a message appear upon your login during the paid event. While everyone currently online gets the message when its activated, If a player logs on lets say 20 minutes into it, upon their first login during that event, it will notify them of the event on their screen saying the usual message it does for other player but rather it would say how many minutes are left on the event as well. I would only happen during their first login during the event. If they leave after getting the notification and rejoin, they wont be notified again.

Maybe it'd be good to just make a list and consolidate all messages that should appear upon login.
Faction MotD, available votes, jobs, effects, current events, etc...

At that point it would easily get Spammy. Log on to a text brick of messages is just a lot and players would rather deal with one thing at a time. If presented with tons of messages and notifications all at once, they would just be overwhelmed.

Figure it might be all in a single command that you can type to open them. "Type /news to check new info" or something.
Or a compromise between both, since I'm sure some people would ignore it anyway. Like show the most important stuff first, followed by "Type /news for more..."
