To all rp staff that say that none of the civilians died to save the public image of the guards/regalian
Im posting this chatlog of the battle in which lots of those that died were not masked members.
You can not tell me that none of these people died

Minecraft death = / = Roleplay death.

Otherwise my characters would have died hundreds of times over from starvation, falling, suffocating, zombies and the list goes on.
 
That was more of an OOC warning to limit the amount of unnecessary casualties from skull splitting.
 
If you're trying to prove trough some sort of convoluted reasoning that the guards and the city are evil to validate your little rebellion, you're going off on the wrong foot. We were presented with a shitty situation where a group of metagaming powergamers came together and decided to ruin shit for other people. We decided on an impromt semi event to bring a quick end to it, to avoid me having to jail and mute 30 or so people, and to allow others to turn an all around shitty situation into an actual roleplay thing.
 
powergaming/metagaming was not the case we were trying to rp overthrow the nobles by yelling to the tavern foke "rebellion" and the guards showed up thus enabling pvp. that was not expected so in a sense the guards metagamed. @MonMarty

The guards would hear the screaming from across Regalia...and...because you were saying down with the nobles, that would be considered treason, thus leading to your death.

Because Rebels have a magical hive mind that brings all of their consciouses together huh?

You even provided proof of it with your own message.
 
Besides, from what I gather, almost all of the 'Masked' were, in fact, merely temporary characters. The majority of civilians were most likely 'real' characters that people have put real effort into.
Making all the deaths IC would not benefit anyone, it would not help anything, it would merely empower and encourage crappy rebellion RP and discourage serious, in-depth characters in Regalia.
After all, what is the point in spending hours writing up a character if it can be crushed in a mere second by a group of powergamers and meta gamers wandering in? I know I wouldn't put so much effort into my characters.
 
we did what rp freedom fighters do we baneded together not under one mind but under one idea that we could be free of regalia's tyrany. I would not call that meta/powergaming or hive mind mentality. @MonMarty
 
and @pryromaniacal i will kill my character if it makes them happy but its wrong for them to say that our characters died but theres didn't

also, I walked by the jail, and could hear you guys yelling about the rebellion before you even went to the tavern.

You make it out to seem as though there's some kind of imbalance or injustice going on here; there isn't. Those characters that were deemed to be instigators were killed. Bystanders were not unless they wished to be. This is because instigators knew full well what they were getting themselves into before they got themselves into it; bystanders did not get themselves into it, they were gotten into it by the instigators.
I highly suggest you revise the character death rules and info, which are readily available on the forums.

This. The guard took them as criminals, and as under the death rules, were put as instigators. Bystanders committed no crimes, and thus could not be killed unless they wished to be.
 
From what I understand.. They enabled pvp to quickly put an end to the nonsense.. Instead of roleplay fighting 20+ or so people, and having hours of needless flailing about. As was stated; the rebels/intsigators are dead, and innocents who ended up getting in the way are NOT. So if they were temp characters.. No need to worry; right?
