Since Docktown is going to be unclaimed and then reverted back to random sandy hills in the near future, here's some pictures of the city:

This here is a very old (8/13/2013) screenshot of the first step of Docktown:

And this is the most recent full-city screenshot set:

Bottom Center of above = Original Docktown - that small long building in between the small square and the docks is one of the first 4 buildings.

This is the main part of the city, and most of the buildings on the right are 3-4 stories tall - they're just in a pit. 2013-12-16_00.36.18.png
And this is the Merchant District, the first of two out-of-wall districts.

And a small slum outside the city that I was going to expand to take up the entire north wall desolation, but won't now.
2014-07-14_16.02.06.png And this is the Red-Blue Arena, which I will probably keep claimed (it takes up exactly 4 chunks for arena & seats) as a monument to Docktown.

Here's all the other screenshots that show the slow development of the city from a hovel into the largest(and oldest) city in New Ceardia (I think):

I just wanted to make this thread for documentation purposes :)

If you want I can get mag to claim this and save it for you.
I'd hate to see an excellent build fall to MassiveRestore like this.

Meh. stuff happens. I can't afford to keep it claimed (though I can protect the entire thing) so it's best that the sands of time retake the city.

And I went to get more screenshots because nostolgia, here's the Sanctuary, which is below Docktown:

And some more screenshots of Docktown, because why not?

(If someone wants to make/attempt to make a panorama of these that'd be awesome and worth like 150r.

Well, 1, everyone who lives there needs to clear the **** out, and two, I want the people who built it (and still have claims to it) to agree on it's end. Gab wants to sell it, I'm neutral (kinda want to let it die rather than sell it to some random person) while the rest have yet to say which they prefer. I'm also going to let parts of it (that giant stone pit) revert because it was a mistake to build that.

Still its a shame to let all of thei amazingness die

Would it be okay for me to make a city similar to docktowns building style near my base in Fender?

No, you see, I've invented copyright laws in the dark ages of MassiveCraft solely to lay claim to my building designs! lol, of course you can build a similar city, you can even use my basic sand cube design:

EDIT: It stacks too, you just put another building on top of the existing one, after taking away the glowstown foorlights. Results in this:
