As the moon began to raise high into the sky, Shades began to draw forth from the sewer entrances. Stealing to the shadows, they moved along, setting forth the words of a certain Deathsinger.

Marble stairs, donning royal blue amidst a serene backdrop. A peaceful place, if only it were not marred by the screaming memories of agony from all culled in the name of Estelley.

Where is their legitimacy? Even now, they hide murderers and thieves, ruthless individuals donning facades, claiming to follow a faith of order and a pursuit of perfection to hide away the blood that stains their hands and faces.

The pursuit of our Frozen Matron's call is considered vile by many, yet there is no veil worn to hide what we are. But their own goals are not so far from our own. Consider the endless List, with names written and culled by a grand demon gone unchecked, with an army of masked warriors running about unabashed, even here among your streets. Yet, where are the calls against them? Where is the unity against something so foul?

Thus, it is offered: To any outsider who would defend the foul faith of Estelley and its grounds, to any who would defend those who would draw their blades upon your back once the convenience is found, reconsider who you stand by. Read this not as some plea for our own legitimacy, but rather as a warning to reconsider those you currently hold with regard. If you truly wish to experience their treachery, as this writer was forced to, then do so. But do not say there was no warning.

Alternatively, stay your blade away. Let those who bring death face those who bring death. Allow their true colors to be revealed, without spilling your own blood alongside them. As it is said, death is an inevitability. But it need not be yours that we seek.

Two Days,
Velaren
