Death Tolls For Thee

Coldness seeped over the woman's body, a dull pain in her throat. She tried to open her lips to speak, to question what happened to the Inquisition members around her, but… A gurgle came out, a sharp pain washed over her throat as she tried to speak. Hot, red ichor, dripped from her throat as she'd stare out for her opponent-- Though, she felt the exhaustion swing at her, a twisted tango at best as she danced with it.

Her opponent, however-- An Abyssal Kathar. Inky black eyes danced with red starlights met her rose-colored ones, as she felt the fear wash over her body, a sea of cold fear meeting the sand that was her body. His gray lips twisted into a wicked grin, a sinister one as she'd come to realize-- This wasn't a dream, one of her many nightmares. However, she'd feel herself be eased down to the sandy, coarse ground by her foe, her opponent, as she heard the faint remnants of vomiting in the background. Shadows danced about in her vision, laughing, pointing and making an utter mockery of her. Whispering to themselves and laughing in glee.

Another gurgle left the woman, a hand outstretched toward the sky as she tried to formulate her words. But they didn't come, a strained sound leaving the Altalar as she'd feel her desire to go on fading. Black clouds danced in her vision like shadows, as the blonde-haired Altalar's arm collapsed to the hard sand. All that mattered was the hot pain in her throat, she wanted it to stop, she was so tired, please, please make it stop…

The white clouds in the azure sky seemed like an utter mockery to her at that moment, the heavens in which she could never grasp, until now. Death was at her door once more, knocking & begging to be taken back, like a wailing ex-wife. Though, the Altalar would open said door, letting Death in, letting everything ease itself into pitch black, the pain numbing itself, her body relaxing...

The now-Kathar shot up out of bed, a gasp leaving her, a hand flying to her throat as she'd pant. She'd rapidly try to catch her breath as panic seeped into her system, clutching at her ribcage. Papers laid scattered about the room, sketches of numerous people she had met in her time throughout Regalia… Though, a scream broke the dark silence. Beside her, that same Abyssal shot up at the wail, his inky black eyes wide... Though he relaxed somewhat, quietly slipping an arm around the Kathar to ease the woman into contentment once more.
