As the Doge of Helvetica states, his attack was a multi-national one, but a multi-national defense was brought in return. We've had the dwarves from Belegost, the elite Deldrimor knights, and my own lonesome self representing my chivalric lodge. If these groups could form together and demolish the hordes of attackers with years of rust in their joints then surely what they have faced were nothing but a band of ramshackle miscreants, and not a formidable foe. The doge states that the leader of Lyrah has fled, however that simply is not true and has fought tooth and nail beside my person. Keep in mind one of their leaders "Sventen" was nowhere to be found during the siege.
