Having just found out that colored sand exists in normal minecraft, but only in certain biomes that Massivecraft worlds don't have, I'm thinking a custom recipe is in order.

1 Sand + 1 dye= Colored sand.

No!; I mean I live in the desert, HELL YEAH! Support +1

Only red sand exists in normal minecraft. There aren't any other colors.
(Except regular sand, of course.)

Reds more than dull yellow. Dull yellow EVERWHERE.

The only way I think this would be possible is if you could assign data values to the sand. Which would mean it would be a custom block to be included in the possibly upcoming Meta-blocks plugin.

it's a vanilla block in the games coding, already their just un obtainable on massive.

Red sand will be found naturally in guldar. That is the only other type of sand. If you are referring to hardened clay there is a recipe for it in vanilla minecraft; you surround the dye with normal hardened clay.
