I have noticed and probably all of you have noticed there is a cool down on chat. This is to prevent spam because we all know the server is huge. But what about when there is barely anyone on? There's not much interaction, at least it's really stretched out. A lot of people use their chance to talk carefully. So I'm introducing this brand new idea to massive. What if we made it so when there was less than 100 people on the cool down went from 30 seconds to like 15 or 20. Here it is for all you number people.
Ok so 50% of people online use chat. So 200 people on that's 100 messages. Normally 100 people on it would be 50 correct? So what if when the player count got below 100 the timer when to 15 seconds. That's twice as many chat message supposedly. So the new numbers would be like so.
200 people on is 100 messages.
100 people on is 50 messages.
100 people on with the new rule is 100. Most of the time there is 200 people on and chat is not very spammed. We could have the same amount of "spam" as we do with 200 which isn't much, with 100 people. If anyone found this confusing please ask or tell each other the meaning of it before you say it's a bad idea.
