For factions, I tend to prefer descriptive names--they can sometimes be a bit more memorable. Things like Aspenhold or Greenwinter from a name generator like this: http://www.namegenerator.biz/place-name-generator.php are actually not that bad. Just something to consider.

Easiest way to name something. Take aspects of an area, say a mountain near it, and then an aspect of the town and then combine them. An example of this? Say you had a Salt Mining town near the base of a mountain. Salt Mountain. Salmount. Bam, name, done.

Just saying because it needs to be said. Continue with your competition.

You may join the Kukari Union, we are trade, PvP and we defend all of our sub factions. Each sub faction of ours may have 5 more sub factions. Each of those May have 5 more. So that each faction rules it's own small group, but follow the command of another faction. So if there is a Union wide meeting, I meet with my sub factions. Who meet with there sub factions, who meet with there sub factions, so on so forth. Kukari welcomes you in with open arms an hope that you accept. (You would be 1 of my sub factions)
