Archived Community Premium Feature Brainstorming

I feel that it might be interesting to gather the people's thoughts on what premium features could be added. I will not go into depth about the current environment and the necessity for new features, but as I was looking around, a lot of people are unhappy, including premiums. So what do you want to see? You don't need to produce long arguments, it's brainstorming, so whatever pops into your head, I'd love to hear it! I'll compile it into a list on the O.P. Please note that this is in no way an official MassiveCraft thread or the like, merely something done out of interest for hearing the community's voice. Any suggestions please bullet and place in bold as to make it clearly visible. Any extended discussion is also welcome. The listed suggestions are partially my own, but primarily sourced from the thread.

Premium Features:

• Client side forum appearance customisation
  • Colour scheme
  • Change background to picture
  • Customisable profile page
  • Pages on home page
  • Layout
  • Default font
  • New font types
  • Other players' name colour
  • Any more?
• A premium-only RP hotspot
• Events for donators
• Premiums can further customise armour colour
• Premium only voting items - EULA breach?
• Premiums have higher chance of better voting items
• Premium only minigames
• Greater/easier firework customisation
• Dynamic forum banners
• Quest creation
• Riding horses in Regalia
• Pet Families
• Hall of premiums
• Spectate mini games
• Remove adverts (add adverts for other users. IG/Forums
• Access to metablocks

A portable jukebox.
This feature would help if you had custom music on a resource pack.
The command /jb, which would open a chest holding discs. You could select a disc and it would close out the window, then start to play whatever the .ogg is associated with that disc just to you. Other users couldn't hear that disc playing, and if someone threw in a disc in an actual jukebox nearby, the /jb jukebox would keep playing and the actual one would be silenced to you. You could walk around with it and the sound wouldn't fade.

The majority of these are EULA breaching. Anything that ONLY paying players can do is illegal, providing it is not purely cosmetic. A premium only RP hotspot is breaching EULA because only premiums can access it, its not cosmetic because its a whole new area of the world.
Donator events are also breaching because free players cant attend them, its an advantage to premiums.
Increased voting chance for better items is also buffing prems therefore breaching as it is an advantage
Premium only minigames is 110% breaching because it is a whole new thing, an entire new section that is unreachable without paying.

I could go on for ages with this, I cant see many on that list being OK with EULA

Maybe the ability to wear customizable capes or faction capes (is optifine required for this?)
I know it was possible to create and use faction capes before, what happened to that?

So how do I make real money from selling cosmetic items?
You can sell cosmetic items for hard currency directly or allow players to fund an "account" specific to your server. It's up to the host of the server to decide how this works. Remember that capes are the exception to this rule – you are not allowed to give them away or sell them.
