The Battle of Lenna Bas
The battle of Lenna Bas, unlike Madar Tellarna, was a battle to be fought out on the field instead of the city. The Elves had fears of defending their great capital, knowing what the "Red Scourge" had done to Madar Tellarna. The Elves had set up their army near a series of forest lines, attempting to make use of the trees as cover for any cannon fire, and a vantage point for ranged combat. The Imperial procession came in with a large following of nobility. The crown prince himself was also present in the Imperial tent, along with a large contingent of Royal guards and a large group of lesser nobles and ladies in waiting. The Imperial court set up on top of the Regalian hill, the purple silks waving in the wind as the crown prince took seat in the dragon throne with the other nobility in front of him in a complex collection of tea tables. As soon as the crown prince gave the gesture, Thomas Kade, Ulric Typhonus and William Coen respectively started taking up positions on the battlefield. Supported by the Red, Fong, Anahera, Paschen and Santorski troops. The left vanguard was led by William Coen, supported by the Psandarion, Oreisio and Pileran troops. On the right vanguard, Ulric Typhonus was supported by the Viduggla and Lamperouge troops.

As the troops positioned themselves, the Red's and Anahera's opened fire on the treeline with their weapons. The Red's using their cannons crashed shell after shell into the trees, causing many trees to splinter and snap, casualties already falling among the Elves. The Anahera's rode their Jinetenes past the Elven trees under fire of arrows. The Jinetenes were cavalry troops armed with portable culverin hand cannons supported on the back of the horses. Shooting shrapnel into the Elven lines, these harassment methods were popular among Anahera troops and effective to cut down Elven morale before the battle even began. Following the depletion of gunpowder, the lines charged towards the treeline. The first hails of arrows took down rows of Kade troops before the vanguards moved forwards in an attempt to break the Elven sidelines. The Kade troops clashed roughly with the Elves among the treeline, favoring melee combat along the entire line as archery became impractical for the Regalian troops. This did not stop the Elves from shooting at them from the trees however.

Thomas Kade was at the dead center of the battle line fighting his way through the Elves with his brother Cedric and cousin William next to him, followed by Shayin Crassan and Jared Silverhand, the Elven estate member of the Kade house. The five of them crashed through the Elven lines followed by their soldiers with good speed. Thomas would periodically point at the treeline above for Jared Silverhand and his brother Cedric to take out the elven archers. Cedric climbed into the trees with with agile speed to cut down the Elves above while Jared used his bow to knock Elves off the branches. Thomas and his guards finally breached the backlines of Elven army when they were faced with the Elven secret weapon. Evergrowth mages, paired up with string mages animated massive ogre like creatures made of twisted wood and vines, suddenly rushing three of these 40 feet monstrosities crashing through the trees at the Kade troops. As the springbok looking creatures came crashing through, Regalian soldiers started dying in droves, trampled, smashed against trees or just generally crushed. Shayin Crassan was the first to get smacked hard by one of the large things, he stood in awe at the creation before him, being an overgrowth mage himself, to the point where he forgot to dash away from a large branch smashing into him and throwing him against a tree. Azarien and Draeden Ulimar fought on the right side of the main line meanwhile, Draeden started drawing the attention of the monstrosity on their end of the line, making it follow him towards the center where Thomas and his personal retinues were. Simultaneously, Luthien Duchamp and Count Consort Frank Duchamp lured the creature on their end to the middle as well. Thomas and William meanwhile in the middle, pressed on while leaving Cedric and Jared behind to deal with the monstrosity in the middle, with the two on the side coming in at a rapid speed.

Vasile Macek and Grey Drah'gon were unfortunate enough to be between the center and the rushing beast from the left, Vasile was promptly crushed, breaking bones all over his limbs, but still being alive, while Grey was smashed aside and knocked his head on a stone. While Azarien held the right side of the Kade line by himself, Draeden was first to arrive in the center with the monstrosity just behind him. Jared attempted to fire arrows at the presumed eyes of the creature, but it crushed it's arm log into the ground. Jared was able to evade the strike, however the resulting splintering of fallen trees smashed a log into his head, knocking him unconscious on the ground. Cedric had meanwhile climbed into a tree to gain a vantage point, yelling at Draeden to distract the creature while he jumped on it's back. As soon as he had gained a good grip, he used his dagger to cut through the vines and plants holding the creature together, causing it to slowly disintegrate as rocks and trees that made up it's body started falling apart. Finally when the last vine around the neck was cut, the whole creature disintegrated completely into a pile of rubble, Cedric landing on front of Draeden on the ground. As the two chest bumped to celebrate their victory, surrounded by the cheers of troops, they charged forward to follow up William and Thomas who had meanwhile progressed beyond with a fierce battle cry.

The Duchamps had meanwhile reached the other hand, but were intercepted by the second monstrosity. Now facing both of them, Luthien dashed backwards yelling for one of her suppliers to reach her while Frank faced the two monstrosities alone. Like a little defiant goat, he charged in between the two monstrosities, avoiding the crushing blows with agility, often causing the two creatures to smash each other. Luthien was meanwhile searching through the bottles carried by her page, before finally deciding on one as she uncorked it, drinking it. Signalling to Frank to drive them closer, Frank started charging his horns into the creatures to cause to follow him blindly. As they charged at Luthien, Frank dashed down in a smooth slide while Luthien blew a large stream of fire from her mouth, the art of fire blowing. Flames engulfed the two remaining creatures, resulting in the wood to crack and the monstrosities to run around confused and eventually crash into a series of trees before falling apart. Aron Santorski had meanwhile kept the left side together, the Elven lines were becoming hard pressed, and the fate of the vanguards would decide now how the battle would end.

The Typhonus Vanguard mostly consisted of cavalry. They held the grassfields behind the Kade armies in check as the Elven cavalry tried to encircle them. The Elven cavalry quickly proved superior to the Regalian cavalry however, owing to the Regalian cavalry riders being inexperienced. Theodon Typhonus was first to get smashed into the helmet with a sword, flying him off his horse and breaking his arms as he landed on the ground. Erik Lovegood and Tristan Lamperouge followed quickly afterwards, both getting an arrow shot into an arm as they tried to turn around and rally the horsemen. Finally, Ulric fell from his horse that was frightened in the middle of battle, causing the horse to fall on his leg, breaking it. Leugel Viduggla distinguished himself by dragging the unconscious Theodon away from the battlefield while supporting Ulric who had to limp away from the battle. Malikar Gro-Arzuk and Rhoghash Ironmonger saved the right vanguard by using Rhoghash's bombs and fireworks. While causing collateral damage on Regalian troops, the explosions and bright lights caused the Elven horses to be frightened, trampling in random directions and crashing into each other. Others were simply blown up. With this vanguard secured, the main line did not have to worry about being encircled, and the only thing left to secure victory, was a victorious left vanguard.

The Coen vanguard was in charge of overpowering the left side of the main line, thus causing a hoped domino effect in the Elven battle lines to collapse the entire army into a rout. The plan proceeded well, William Coen and Terrowyn Pileran fought well, William especially, in pushing trough the Elven sidelines. Despite meeting their objective of crashing down the Elven defences, the move was very costly on the Coen and Pileran troops. Xalvador Pileran himself was knocked unconscious and left in the mud, while Milahme Coen was hit with an arrow in her leg. Alea Ash distinguished herself as the heroine of the Coen line by helping Milahme Coen off the battlefield while also preventing Dustin Vernon from being wounded, who had cornered himself around too many Elves. With the vanguard on the left victorious, the remaining troops crashed down into the center, William Coen, The Kades, The Duchamps, Aron Santorski, the Ullimars and Terrowyn Pileran pressed on to defeat the Elven battle command and capture the Elven King.

Meanwhile at the Imperial battle tent, the nobles were celebrating the impending victory with a string quartet, supported with fruity tea and Nava Cakes. Unexpectedly, a group of Elves suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Elven Assassins had disabled the anti mages around the perimeter and snuck a group of Elves under the guise of an invisibility hex into the Regalian camp. As chaos started forming around the camp with nobles rushing and screaming in all directions, the Elves charged forward as the Imperial guard formed a line in front of the crown prince. When the Elves came close, they revealed poaches of substances, subsequently self combusting in front of the Imperial guard. The Elves rushing towards the crown prince's tent were fire mages strapped with gunpowder bags, they came close to the Imperial Guard line, but the explosives went off prematurely. The force of the explosion however caused the guards to be thrown around like ragdolls, Zero Lamperouge and Joshua Kade were the first hit and flung back violently. The explosion knocked down some pillars supporting the Imperial tent, and while the crown prince had avoided the explosion himself, a beam crashed on his head knocking him into a coma that he would not awake from.

Alejandro Anahera and Katrina Nava distinguished themselves in the aftermath of the chaos by organizing the healers and doctors and securing the safety of the other nobility. The victory celebrations were promptly called off, and the procession made haste back to Regalia. On the front line, the Regalian troops had captured the Elven King and secured victory for Regalia. With the largest host of the Elven army defeated, the other Elven cities submitted to Regalian rule as the soldiers marched in everywhere. The wounded made their way back to Regalia, as well as the heroes. Count Consort Frank Duchamp was given the highest military distinguishments, along with Cedric Kade, Alea Ash, William Coen, William Kade, Azarien Ulimar and Thomas Kade. Frank Duchamp also received a solid cast golden mace encrusted with dark red rubies and finely decorated with silver. As the processions made their way back to Regalia however, the crown prince had still not awoken from his coma. While the Elven kingdoms had been crushed and Regalia was victorious, the immediate future of Regalia was made uncertain with so many nobles wounded and the crown prince already in life threatening danger before even ascending the throne.

Meanwhile in Calemberg
One the eve of the grand battle in Daendroc, the people in Calemberg rejoiced. The Lady Lenora of the House Santorski has publicly stepped down from politics and family leadership after a vision from the Old Gods, instead translating her raw passion into where it belonged: the faith. Swearing a strict vow of celibacy, chastity, and all forms of modesty, the once honorable Lady Santorski found herself on a small ship heading straight for some obscure monastery, where she'd live the rest of her days as a true Lady of the Light.

Meanwhile, the Calemberg maintained their glorious celebrations, the parties and feasts being said to have lasted for an entire week. The once tense air was replaced with a comforting warm one, filled with laughter and cheers. "Justice, Eloquence, Authority! Justice, Eloquence, Authority!" the citizens sang, their true liege finally restored back to them.

As the inheritance laws of Calemberg dictate, the title must always pass to the first eligible claimant. Since Lenora of the House Santorski lacked any sons, and proper blood claimants, the title was restored back to Ulric of the House Typhonus.

MY BROTHERS! WE COULD HAVE BEEN FRIENDS!

This is awesome. Character development for sure. <3

Down with Poldora!

Shayin looks up at the monstrosity, briefly muttering "Oooh Shit." before being flung across into another tree. The bleeding effect takes it's hold as the plants around him grow towards him in a concerned manner. He looked up from his drooping eyes, seeing the other Evergrowth Mages. He had thought he was the last in Aloria, that it was his duty to safeguard nature. He thought to try to attempt communication with them, hoping that the telepathy that he shared with plants would also reach the other mages as a sign of individual truce. Reaching to his left, he felt a vine for comfort, it twisting around his arm at his touch as he cried silently from the pain as he blanked out, not four seconds after he was hit.
He never would know if they heard or not, because when he woke, a Light Mage was standing over him, attempting to heal the broken ribs. His life would never be the same as one does not simply overcome broken ribs. His days of intense physical combat were over, and he knew it as the vine didn't let go as the healers tried to tug at it. "Let it be," he stated as the released it.

Shayin laid in the bunk aboard the ship, rocking gently the whole way back to Regalia, debating whether or not to tell Thomas Kade his secret. There were others, and he needed to find them.

Alejandro paced back and forth, pinching his chin, a scowl evident on his face. Lenora Santorski out of the picture, the Crown Prince in a coma... What else could happen? The Crown Prince was his only beacon of reason in regards to the Kades, and the only paragon of logic snatched under into a sea of comatosity.

He paced all throughout his manor, fists clenched, jaw stiff, and gaze molesting every corner and shadow lurking abouts. What was the Kade alliance worth now? Thomas and Cedric were the only ones he knew, besides the other irrelevant ones, and it was established long ago that they would not be an agreeable force. Would he have to turn around? Appeasing Thomas and Cedric was the last thing he wanted to do. Beyond wounding, practically maiming his own pride, he'd display weakness, and he knew he wasn't weak. The Lo wasn't weak, and he certainly wasn't...

I've been wounded in battle three times in a row. Well, technically two, since I was already wounded when Freya stabbed the crap out of me and I 'died'. Still. One death and two wounded rolls?!

All I gotta say is: SCREW YOU, ROLLS! SCREW YOU!

I'm happy we won, though. Nice job everyone and especially to Marty for his writing skills.

((Yay, Leugel distingused himself!!! I am so happy, just, so so much!!!))

"Jared Silverhand 24 minor scratch" @Jared4242 isn't he dead? From your description he took a log to the head. that would make most people quite the dead person.

Obviously Dustin had to try to kill everyone in berserk mode. even in roleplay "YOLO" aplies... what a funny day. Now time to go home and take care of the wife and kids. Thank you lil @PandaSkies/Alea

Dargons responce:

Reading the reports made by his rangers, Dargon felt unease. The war is over. But what will happen now? All those deaths. All that suffering. To what possible end will this lead? He walked out into his garden. Down the steps and trough his gate towards the temple at the end of the path. In the distance he could see the sun sink under the horizon. He opened the doors of the temple finding many already praying inside. He sat down next to many refugees from the war. Together they prayed. The silence was only broken by the waterfalls outside the temple.

Later that night, Dargon and his family addressed the people of Avallónë. After several speeches they sang a lament for those who had died during the war. The sound of their voices could be heard far across the jungle. Any listening ear would be overwhelmed with grief and sadness. After the gathering ended, he walked with his wife trough the gardens of the palace. Holding her close to him. They could only hope they did not meet the same fate.

The following day Dargon ordered the constructing of more residences for those who had fled to his lands. Many were still homeless and had no place to return to. As for the few incidents along his borders since the war started, nothing has drawn the attention of other realms just yet. Dargon returned to the temple. It was empty as he walked to the central shrine. He took a quick look around to ensure he was alone. Then he pressed a hidden button and a key flipped out of the top of the shrine. Dargon took the key and left.
