So, hear me out.
tagging @Magivore and @Havsbris_ because they already wrote an article because I prompted this in a discord chat. making a thread for this so people can input their own because i dont wanna spam the same prompt again and again in the channel
Let's say in some strange, magical situation, your character, as they are now - are suddenly transported to the modern world, in which hosts a foundation dedicated to searching out and containing unnatural abnormalities, such as the character that had just seemed to appear out of nowhere. Disregarding whether they be arcane in Aloria's standards, to them, it's yet another unknown being to contain.
They take them to an unknown place, assuming they could be kept. They secure them in a containment cell, tailored exactly to their abilities. Just enough to keep them permanently contained, and through running a few tests, interviews and observations, write a report on who they suspect that character to be.

Just enough to keep them permanently contained, and through running a few tests, interviews and observations, write a report on who they suspect that character to be.
So, what if your character had an SCP Article written on them?
" But whats an SCP? "
On that note, if your character is significantly dangerous, testing and visitation may be limited to some higher personnel, which are regarded as levels, and experimentation with subjects may only be able to be done if approved by say, Level 4 clearance. It takes too long to get into every role, but for reference:the SCP Foundation is a collection of articles and stories, shared and made within a community in the SCP Wiki. It stars multiple unnatural anomalies, cryptids and dangerous otherworldly beings, and contains them, writing reports on them to attempt to explain what and how they are, and the best way to contain them to keep them from possibly causing harm to society, or alerting the public of such unnatural presences. If your interested, please check out The Volgun's readings or Lord Bung's Animated 'Confinement' Series. Or you can just lurk on the wiki!
" My character can't be contained because of XYZ! '
There are specimen that aren't contained, actually. Though, their lives will be regulated, if unable to be removed from a specific area, or will have at least an article updated on their escape. if they're capable of escaping containment with relative ease, then they will be classified as Keter.
" What if someone uses this to kidnap my character? "
The point is that the Foundation uses modern technology and equipment to entrap characters, making use of things farther in the future that no character should have access to.
" How do I even make one? "
There's a fairly simple template I use, which is below! Though, not everyone has to use this same template, and there's plenty of people who have broken the template for story-writing:
If you put it in a box and you don't know what happens: It's Euclid.
If you put it in a box and it escapes with no problem: It's Keter
If it is the box, it's Thaumiel.
I don't think any character's going to be a thaumiel, though.
' SCP-[number of your choice.]
OBJECT CLASS: [ Refer below this! ]
CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES: [ Go into a very clinical fashion on how a researcher would write how to contain your character in the most professional manner you can do. Use meters, and remember that they wouldn't torture your character. Theyre cold, not cruel. Researchers tend to refer to characters using objective terms such as 'it', 'entity', 'being' and other unpersonal pronouns. ]
DESCRIPTION: [ In the same manner of above, describe your character. Dont go too much into detail of what they look like, but any eccentricities a researcher might find off, personality wise, or whatever information they spill about themselves or others. ]
Classes are usually done with the box test, which is fairly simple.

Level 0: Official Use Only ( Non-secured Janitors, Clerical, and Logistics. )
Level 1: Confidental ( Like above, but secured. )
Level 2: Restricted ( Most research staff, field agents, and containment specialists. )
Level 3: Secret ( Most senior research staff, project managers, security officers, response team members, and Mobile Task Force operatives. )
Level 4: Top Secret ( Site Directors, Security Directors, or Mobile Task Force Commanders. )
Level 5: Thaumiel ( Level 5 security clearances are typically only granted to O5 Council members and selected staff. )
If your character requires some sort of disposable staff around to keep them contained, look no further than D-Class, which stands for.. Disposable. Usually consisting of prisoners kept for thirty days.Level 1: Confidental ( Like above, but secured. )

A few examples!
SCP-4068
OBJECT CLASS: Euclid
CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES: SCP-4068 is to be contained in a 5x5x5 meter room with minimal decoration and necessaries. Reinforced cement must be constructed for walls, through hardened steel will do as well. Restrictive entertainment is offered through limited television channels and readings, most usually on Catholic history and any other Western religious topics, and will be rotated once a month. All items on it's being have been confiscated, and are undergoing research.
As of ██/██/15, SCP-4068's containment cell should be covered in soft material, not limited to: Mattresses, pillows, foam and other such object. Entity must have their wrists cuffed with average metals, the chain should be seven (7) inches long to offer some form of mobility.
DESCRIPTION: SCP-4068 is a human male, ranging from his late twenties to early thirties, and approximately 1.8 meters tall, and 56 kilograms. DNA testing has shown that the entity retains a similar genetic structure to ancestors in Greece, and speaks a language similar. SCP-4068 claims to be from 'Etosil', and has spoken openly of this location in earlier interviews, and has gone on to describe it's duty to eradicate as many heretics as he could. From this, it appears SCP-4068 hunts down other humanoid entities. It however retains no accurate knowledge of any other SCP Objects within containment.
SCP-4068 speaks of many organizations and continents not known on earth, and is suspected to be a cosmic entity, from other dimensions or worlds. Through many of the interviews conducted, he is a worker in the Great Way, of what could only be assumed to be a large-spanning Religion from dimension ██████. Despite that, it refuses to elaborate on his original world, often speaking in vague, discreet ways. It was originally found with a high-quality medieval crossbow, with unknown metals, and a spear of a similar structure. SCP-4068. SCP-4068 has been found to be capable of two supernatural abilities, and knowledge of chemical sciences not previously known, nor could be properly replicated with materials at hand. SCP-4068 is capable of producing SCP-4068-B, which is a liquid of what it claims to be holy water.
SCP-4068-B could be applied to any liquid, where the entity will dip two fingers into a liquid less than 32 oz and appear to recite a chant. Two seconds after, the water will lose its former chemical structure, and become holy water. Further testing has not revealed how this ability reshapes atoms, but has shown that when applied to any other SCP Entity, it will suffer burns varying. SCP-4068 claims that it can only affect beings who share a connection to the 'Void', which align with mythological myths such as vampires, although with differentiating qualities. View SCP-4068-█ for documented experimentation.
After the containment breach on ██/██/15, SCP-4068 attempts escape from Site-██, accusing staff of "heresy" for what appears to be small conveniences. After this incident, to prevent him from attempting escape and to prevent further injury, his cell has been covered in soft material.

SCP-4003
CLASS: Safe
CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES: SCP-4003 is to be locked up in an airtight facility, air will be facilitated through a secured air vent. No organic life should be in 5 meter range of the entity and all personnel must wear hazard suits when approaching the object. The cell will be 4x5x4 in meters, with minimal furnishing in stone and metal material only. All personnel must report to the infirmary after testing, and all afflicted plant life must be destroyed via fire. One (1) D-Class personnel must be deployed bi-weekly to clean up any sprouting moss and-or any organic waste from the cell, and will be taken to a private sect of the infirmary thereafter.
Entity must adorn a straitjacket, and two (2) inch gloves on at all times. All hair-placed plumage must be shaved. All personnel who are or may have been infected with SCP-4003-B are to be demoted to Class E until it wears off, and secured in a temporary holding cell.
DESCRIPTION: SCP-4003 is 1.5 meters, and 44 kg. It is a plant-like humanoid that follows to anthropomorphic anatomy, with a pair of legs and arms. It's skin is green and retains the same material of the stem of a plant. Despite it's flower-like appearance, it does retain mammal qualities, although mutated. SCP-4003's blood is dark green, and carries the same texture as the average human being's blood. However, it does not consist of the same genetics of the latter, much like the rest of it, it revolves around plant-life. Instead of hair, it grows leaves of an unknown plant, and flowers similar to that of Red Hawaiian Hibiscus plant, and another flower unknown, but mainly monotone incolor, most profusely white. These buds to emit a scent capable of intoxication in nearby subjects. The entity is capable of limited transformation, whereas they will generate a sweat-like substance from their fingertip and scab off what may be genetic material off of the skin of the subject. After twenty-four hours it will gain a feature much alike the subject that had been copied off of, testing has shown that this goes on to body shape to hair shape, and is capable of inhuman growths through testing with multiple other entities, though all of which turned into its plant-based equivalent. Testing is not allowed unless given permission from level 4 personnel, due to the threat of being infected with SCP-4003-B
Subjects in close presence of said scent will experience a sudden liking to the entity, disregard of how they felt about SCP-4003 beforehand, and will be compelled to engage in conversation with the being. Once in close range, offen in the span of seven inches, the entity will begin to feed off of the subject, taking blood from the center of its palm. No matter where SCP-4003 places it's palm, it will always drain blood and inject SCP-4003-B into the subject.
SCP-4003-B is an unknown disease that rewires the frontal lobe for a temporary amount of time, lasting around 504 hours when first concieved, before the virus dies, and exits out the body through the excretory system. Upon infection, the host will have symptoms such as yellowed sclera and itching, leading them to pick at their skin until they bleed, leading for SCP-4003-B to spread, and other cold-like symptoms. The mental changes are significantly more detrimental, causing the host to be paranoid and aggressive over minor events or nothing.
SCP-4003 is sentient and is capable of speech, as shown by early interviews. It claims to be a gardener of "malady", whom plans on building their own death garden. The being could only be assumed to be a cult, based off of the description given by the entity, which worships a dimension called the Void, which houses these so called greater entities, most likely a plane from dimension ██████. However, due to it's childlike nature, it has begun to rebel against the Foundation and at current, refuses to speak any more on what it is after shaving it's hair.
