Antoine was her mother’s third husband already, and was often kept away from the family estate on business. She has no full blooded siblings, but has twin sisters from her mother’s fifth marriage, and a brother from the sixth. They are a fair bit younger than her, so she grew up closer with her cousin of sorts, one Severus Verlaine. Spoiler: Childhood While close to “Little Laney” in her younger years, Tilly found herself trapped under her mother’s heel when Verlaine disappeared off to war. She was expected to come into her mother’s position when she grew, taking on the family name, titles, land, and business. She found much of her mother’s work to be boring and mind-numbing, and would often sneak off grounds to wander the streets of Vezeloux. Spoiler: Young Adulthood As she grew, Chantilly came to find that she quite enjoyed gambling, parties, and all sorts of fantastical gatherings. She hired many different performers and entertainers for the parties she held in her mother’s estate, gaining a deep love for all things art. To sooth her mother’s concerns of having no real skills, she agreed to attend a women's preparatory academy, where she learned a great deal about alchemy, medicine, languages, and how to manage a household. Spoiler: Current Times Nowadays Chantilly finds herself bombarded with requests from her mother. Calls to aid in the family shipping business, requests of appearances with stuffy business women and, as of late, pressure to accept one of many marriage proposals that her mother has since arranged. Feeling trapped in her massive mansion, Tilly booked a trip to visit her dear, depressed cousin in Regalia. What adventures might come from such a choice? Only time will tell.
