A PROCLAMATION

On this day November the 29th, 308 AC, I, Lord Chancellor of Regalia, make the following proclamations.

• On the Subject of Assemblies, an Assembly called is this Saturday Evening at 5pm Regalian Reckoning (10pm London Time, 5pm US Eastern Time). It is a regular Assembly for anyone to propose law changes as they wish. Topics can be sent ahead of time (by sending a letter to the Lord Chancellor's Office) to be noted here. • On the Subject of the recent Financial Ministry Decree and other Ministry efforts, The Lord Chancellor re-iterates the 35% tax increase, from 30, was implemented before his tenure, and upheld under the policy of not immediately reversing a previous Lord Chancellor's law passages. Any Houses who were found to not have been paying their full taxes will be forced to do so to support our troops abroad and benefit the realm.
  • Should the Financial Ministry not be treated with the appropriate respect from the Peerage, the Lord Chancellor notes the potential need for a reformation of the Chancellor's Contingent and encourages any hopeful warriors to hone their skills accordingly.
  • As a Misc note, The Lord Chancellor will be launching a poll for public opinion which will be used for internal review, so that the government can better understand the needs of the common people of Regalia, and what changes need to be brought about to improve the overall wellbeing of Regalian denizens.
  • In addition, the Foreign Ministry will announce a new series of foreign policy agendas, as well as open recruitment for several upcoming diplomatic missions, no later than by December the 6th.

• On the Subject of the Burnings, the Violet Order has been ordered to hand over non-noble, soulful members of the Peerage responsible to the Crookback Council for a meeting. Because the Crookback lies outside the Empire, the Violet Order has now ceased its jurisdiction over those responsible, with the exception of those responsible for the Petal Court Burnings, which will continue to be hunted down and tried by the Lord Commander.

    • Kaahl Sarnai, the Withered Rose Coven, the Athanasia Scion, the Vlae'lona Cult, and the Soth'hrii Cluster.

• On the Subject of the Lord Chancellor's Agenda, there are eight primary goals and guiding ideals for the Administration, handled both by the Lord Chancellor and the growing list of Advisors and Ministers.
  • To create a lasting State of the Empire address routinely kept updated and attended to by the Foriegn Ministry, to ensure there are always some efforts to improve relationships with foreign powers ongoing regardless of who is Lord Chancellor, both with our allies and non-hostile enemies. The first will be posted two weeks before Wintertide.
  • To empower and control the Occult in a more open and acceptable use of and acceptance of their quirks by maintaining strict adherence to his Imperial Holiness Decree on the Magi, and ensure the Occult are given a chance to lead respectable lives if in service to the Great Way, via a leading initiative from the Arcane Ministry.
  • To arm and wield the Finance Ministry as a grand blade, and ensure any who do not pay their Taxes are swiftly reminded of the consequences while growing the Treasury for use in both immediate and long term spending initiatives.
  • To expand the Logistics Ministry with a sub-department of Clerks and Information peddlers to ensure the smooth and effective operation of an expanded Logistics Department.
  • To ensure communication and cooperation between the Military and State are renewed, with the Lord Chancellor taking part in Military Cabinet meetings and ensuring a smooth transition of State intent to Military success.
  • Solidify the position of the Whip as the Lord Chancellor's Vice and Second-in-Command, to ensure the proper functioning of the State.
  • To ensure those Commoners of which the Lord Chancellor arose are well taken care of by the State, and given the tools with which to find success in the City of Light, via both charitable acts and the eventual solidification of a Commons Ministry.
  • And finally, to ensure that, by the end of Jared I's tenure, there are multiple proven State-workers that have the capacity to lead the Realm effectively far into the future regardless of minor political differences.

The rulings of this decree take the full effect of State Law.​

• It should be reiterated Government Positions can be created if someone writes a letter to impress to the LC. It will likely require an ic meeting thereafter, but proper planning and creating rp in-game will get folks a long way.
