They ‘command the evening’, having pairs of guests face off at things they are known to be good at. 〉 [ ~>>»» --->>>»»»»->>»»->»-❂-«<-««<<-«««<<<--- ««<<~ ] The Regalian Peerage are cordially invited to enjoy an Altalar feast as well as refreshments at the Elven Ballroom, the evening of the twenty-eighth of the current month (19:00 EST 28/09/20). It is expected to last for two hours, but may be longer or shorter pending the disposition of those who attend. There are two things that separate this gathering from a normal one. First: it operates on the Altalar gathering principle of an Ëllenanla. What this means, is that the principal attraction of the night is not just the cuisine and idle chatter, but also skillful confrontations between guests. Orators who attend should expect to be asked to speak against one another, or famous duelists to spar in the center, perhaps with extra rules to liven their challenge. Second: this event is not just for nobility. Any Altalar of good standing is also invited inside, with the caveat that if they display bad behavior they will be forcibly ejected. It is hoped that this opportunity for the Peerage to mingle with Elvenkind and see its skill and majesty on display will aid and reinforce the sometimes tenuous opinion it has been known to hold in regards to the Est-Allorn. These Altalar should remember that they are also liable to be asked to engage in confrontations of skill.
