His birthplace was in the Daendroc region, within an unnoticeable inland city. The town itself was one of many opium farms of the area, meaning much of the labour involved the intensive work of poppy farming, among other various slave-related jobs. This is to say, Arrio’s upbringing was less than bad, it was awful. Not having really any interface with a family, the half-orc was entirely on his own. As a small child, he wasn’t too involved with work, only doing rather small bits of work that wouldn’t result in his harm or death. Nevertheless, it is safe to say Arrio did not get to experience being a child in many ways. [Teenage Years] Teenage life for Arrio was categorized by his transition fully into a slave lifestyle. As early as 14, Arrio was working normal labour on the poppy farm. Due to his half-orc status, harder, more intensive jobs often fell into his lap. A lot of Arrio’s “training” fell into that his master and his subordinates saw fit to try and make him learn his place. He was often referred to as a monster, or other cruel things, in the effort to make him feel less like a person. Arrio had a surprisingly strong will, and a toleration for the treatment he received. Hard work, while in this case was unrewarding and cruel, came naturally to him. Some of the quieter jobs, such as separating the poppy seeds from the flower, could be rather methodical, and give him time to look inward and reflect, something that kept him grounded for many years. As he neared his adult years, Arrio began to be swept up in the ongoings of the plantation. Rumors circled around the slaves that they were to throw off their shackles soon enough. Such a day came around his 19th year. Arrio and his fellow slaves engaged in a very bloody revolt against their masters, killing many and securing their freedom. Due to the rocky legality of their enslavement, there would be little worry of them being put back into bondage. Arrio didn’t take killing well, and he had to put down a master or two during the revolt. It made him far more aware of the value of a human life, something he keeps in his mind to this day. [Early Adulthood] Most of Arrio’s formative years into adulthood consisted of hunting and gathering in the Daendroc woods. Other half-orcs and escaped slaves taught him the ways of survival, instilling in him an independent drive, as well as the know how to do things for himself. Arrio would come to very much enjoy the act of hunting, finding peace in the activity. Being good at it also meant his belly was consistently full, even if it was on a primarily meat diet. He did long for something more, to do something other than survive. Arrio became rather enamoured with the “monster” his masters made him out to be. He didn’t see himself as such, but he reckoned that should he put his hunting skills to use in the form of slaying monsters, that not only would he be doing the world a service, but figuratively, he’d be putting down the monster he once thought he was. In effect, it was a clever tactic in his head to begin blocking out his slavery days. [Recent Years] Arrio recently moved to the city of Regalia, in attempts to pursue his ambitions of monster-hunting. Armed with only his makeshift bow, some arrows, and the clothes on his back, the former slave looks to the future.
Hello! I have made some edits, they are highlighted in blue: Edited proficiency points and added hobby points @HydraLana
I'll approve it, but I would ask that if you have played them at all or things have happened in RP, you add that to the end of the Life Story.
