Massivecraft is full of intriguing magically-themed stories, characters, and devices. As of this year, Dragons are also becoming a major inclusion for several plots--magic included. The wonders of Primal subjects continue to fascinate and intrigue people both IC and OOC--and what better thing to do than to give an opportunity for people to discuss one of the many foreign topics of Primal/Dragon matters? This thread will be to discuss the Archon forms of played characters.

But what is an Archon form?

An Archon form is the manifestation or projection of one's soul. It is an unnatural figure that can be as humanoid or un-humanoid as the player wishes, so long as it suits the true nature of the character it is meant to represent. Some may wonder what "true nature" means.
Q: My character is nice to everyone around them, but they're actually much more critiquing and critical in thought.
This would mean that even though your character presents a niceness to those around them, they are more likely to have an Archon which exhibits the actual things they feel. A shy and guarded person may have an Archon which exhibits their need to feel protected. A quick to temper person's Archon may have clawed hands, four arms, and scale-like additions to the Archon's body.

At the end of the day, however, all aesthetics of an Archon form is up to the player. When a Primal Power is used to bring out someone's Archon form, it is not up to the caster to project what that form looks like aesthetically. There are just about no limitations to what an Archon can look like, but the main idea is that it should generally hold an unnatural look because they are.
Archons are in no way going to resemble a perfectly normal-looking Human or Race. They may have attributes of said-character. For instance, a Nelfin's Archon may also have pointed ears and sharp features, but otherwise, they may be more mixed with other Racial features included if that is desired.

The purpose of this thread is to invite players to write a description as detailed as they would like to show what their character's Archon form would look like. For prompt, have the following:

◤━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◥
There is trouble in the city. Gwenyth Zylmoira, the notorious Archon user, turns and spots your character. Through her primal power, she conjures their Archon form by will.
While in Archon form, they gain:
125% Physical Stat,
one foot in height, and
+10 Unarmed Combat Skill.
The cost:
They are put into catatonic state, unaware of what is happening and will have no memory of what they did or what Gwenyth said or commanded them to do after the fact, and
are thereby submitted to Gwenyth's command.
◤━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◥
General Thread Purpose
- Write a description of your played character's Archon form. All aesthetics are up to the players, but these should be taken seriously and not written for sake of meme rp.
- This is meant to encourage players to work their imaginations and create something powerful, elegant, monstrous, and anything and everything in between. It also inspires me to find players who post to this thread, broaden RP horizons, and enjoy new interactions with said players.
- You may also include a snippet of reply to the prompt or what you believe your Archon would look like in action. Go ham.

Who Has an Archon Form
- Any character which has a soul.

Who Doesn't Have an Archon Form
- Any character which does not have a soul. (e.g. Yanar, Undead)

Darian's Archon Form would be along the following, with core characteristics being inherited from his natural form...
  • Brighter and more radiant, with white light shining from his eyes;
    • This represents the more 'holy side' of him, referring to his unending faith to Estel, and thereby extension, the Exist realm.
  • Feather 'earrings' almost, an extension of his devotion to his Ritualism;
    • As per his devotion to Olt'vven Ritualism, he'd gain stark white feather earrings.
  • Radiant, glowing sunray tattoos which spread all over his body, to his temples and neck;
    • As per his devotion to Olt'vven Ritualism, he'd gain these characteristics.
  • His clothing turns completely white;
    • This represents his devotion to purity and protection, trying to ward off the darkness of the Void and follow in the light of Estel.
  • Darian would gain four extra white 'ethereal' ghostly arms with white sunray runes and markings;
    • This would represent his need and desire to help others, through any means possible, as well as his love and appreciation for caring for all life.
and of course, the prompt reply...

Darian's eyes immediately begin to release stark white light from them, as suddenly his entire form is encapulsated in a holy almost, ethereal transformation whereby his skin shifts and cracks into sunray marking, which spread across his body, emitting a similar hallowing light to that of his eyes. The Cielothar's feather ear helix would expand further and morph his ears into having "feather" almost earrings. His entire clothing would be turned white, and four ghostly ethereal arms rose from his back, as his entire form seemingly turned hallowed and holy.

Having a soul and being eager to help a friend, Kaze would only be too happy to support Gwenyth. However, as he fell into the catatonic state required to release his Archon, something far less pleasant was released...

-It would be hard to determine exactly what the Archon form of Kaze was, only because it seemed to be entirely blurred, as if seen through a hurricane or moving impossibly quick on the spot.
-The form would tower over any Ailor, comparable to an Altalar but with extra height, with any exact measurements lost to the normal eye.
-Whilst his figure could be seen, it was difficult to pick out any exact physical features... Were those horns upon his head? Long pointed ears? Is his skin red like his former Manathar form or are those scales? It can assumed that anyone looking would likely compare him to a draconic, demonic or ancient nelfin being, entirely relative to what would come to the individual's mind first.
-Regardless of the blurring, a large devilish grin could be seen through the wind. with pointed teeth and forked tongue, with a echoing cackle often heard from its midst.
-Finally, this creature would be a reckoning to deal with in melee combat. Moving quickly, it would lash out harshly with large clawed hands before withdrawing to circle its opponent again to attack from another angle. It may have more difficulty against blades and ranged attacks, but it countered this by being skilled at disarming and disabling before attempting any deadly strikes.

Dothraen:
Dothraen as an Archon would become an enormous, Musclegod-bodied beast of an eight foot and three inches (8'3) of height. Given the tremendous amount of Body Stat increase, his physical capabilities, which are already at peak level of strength and endurance, would have become destructive and obliterating. One empowered punch from Archon Dothraen could shatter a wall; he would dismiss man-made weapons in favor of making use of his environment, embracing the trees and boulders around him, tearing them from the terrain and using them to deal berserk damage on his prey.

His body would be coated in snow white fur from head to toe, appearing albino, and gaining digitigrade legs with enormous hooves and gigantic claws on the toes. His arms would be especially gigantic and scarily muscular, doubly larger than the rest of his body, biceps looking like they're barely contained by his skin and about to rip through any minute. The size of his arms would be forcing him to adopt a gorilla stance similar to the Hulking Body Shape. He'd become completely beast, with no 'man' left to account for.

Facially, he'd be embracing wolf-like qualities with a snout and furred ears, while his eyes would remain Arkenic in nature, menacingly glowing with a gold iris and crimson sclera. In his mouth would be a set of enormous and unaligned teeth, having both fangs and tusks, sticking out of his mouth at all times. His vocals, which are already gravelly and rough, would have embraced beast-like qualities, capable of emitting animalistic sounds such as wild roaring and growling at the throat.

Rodrigo Peirgarten:
Rodrigo as an Archon would be a unique sight, even by the standards of Archon flexibility. Firstly, he would have received a height increase to be standing at exactly seven feet of height. The rest of his body would have adopted the same nature as his Lolanc-Athal arm, transforming his torso, his left arm, and his legs, into completely functional metal limbs, replacing joints with metal hinges. In summary, Rodrigo would have completely become a cyborg, with only his head remaining as flesh.

Facially, Rodrigo would remain much the same, however his skin would be cold to the touch, and appear almost solid rather than smooth, with no creases or other skin-like qualities or flaws. His eyes would have lost their pupils, now appearing as entirely white sockets, making it impossible for opponents to tell where exactly he is looking.

When in instances of combat, Rodrigo's body would favor agility, able to move doubly faster than his human form, and easily and speedily scale walls thanks to his metal hands, which are able to transform into claws and tear into surfaces to climb. His fists would pack a heavy punch, equal to the blow of a gauntleted hand from a Strongman. When moving his metalic limbs, Rodrigo's body would emit mechanical buzzing, behaving rather robot-like.

@MantaRey now make it happen m-matron..

LEON:
Leon's Archon form is generally similar to his normal appearance; although now bordering on eight feet in height, his Archon shares many of the same proportions of his mundane body though now with considerably broader shoulders and a slightly heftier musculature, even with his current size and mass. The Archon takes shape nude, though his modesty is absent- a representation of Leon's honest nature and openness; he hides nothing and holds no thoughts silent. Facially, the Archon remains almost identical, though its tusks are far longer than Leon's, and are carved with glowing tribal patterns. Most striking of the Archon are two details; its skin appears made of hammered bronze, and its hair falls down to its feet, tied in elaborate braids with no shortage of brass ties and bands and decor. Despite the apparent great weight of such an amount of hair, the Archon moves unimpeded with long, heavy strides.

VHAAL:
Vhaal's Archon form is far more extreme in its distinction from his normal body; it is faceless, with long limbs and fingers, and clad in silver finery- it clatters and jingles with each motion, replete with rings, bangles, bracelets, necklaces, and more. The Archon's skin glitters and shines like jewels under the sun, casting dazzling patterns of light across any surface in its vicinity- not blinding, but certainly unpleasant to look upon for any long period; even its ears, far longer than Vhaal's own and pointed backwards, sparkle with light from beneath. The Archon's hair floats here and there about its head- hammered golden threads lifted by some imperceptible updraft beneath it. A great crystal crown sits centre stage upon the Archon's featureless head; it swirls and shines, ever-shifting as it levitates a few centimetres from its metallic scalp, much as the Archon's bare feet float only inches off the ground it would otherwise stand on.

Kabili Tordove

Black-furred, goat-like legs would be the first thing you noticed about the Kathar's Archon form. Mostly because they were now around eight feet in height. As you progressed your observation, you would notice not only are his legs that of a goat, but his entire body is, with some humanoid proporations, like his arms. They are long and slender, with fingers just as long. Sharpened claws almost scrap against the ground. In place of a goat tail, there are two pure red-scaled snakes sprouting from his lowerback. They are always trying to eat each other, but are never able to sink their fangs into the other. Speaking of his back, the fur that coats his body is thinner there. Thin enough to see the "scars." Daffodils grow on his back, grouping into lines that look like scars created from a whip.

At the collarbone, or where it should be, the fur ends off abruptly. From there, his flesh is jet black. Ivory white bull horns, littered with cracks, protrud from the side of his head. His hair is the only feature about him that stays roughly the same. The style and messiness of it all translates, but the color is now a bleached blonde.

His face is covered by a flat, bone white, mask. It has two eye holes on each side, with fiery, glowing, orange eyes staring out of them.

Meaning

  • Goats usually symbolize "pureness and preciousness due to it's natural beauty." Black is usually associated with darkness and the void. Kabili feels like a corrupted beauty, a twisted being of nature's design.
    • Alternatively, the goat is the symbol of Asmodeus, the demon of Lust. For Kabili, it's not lust in what would assume, but rather a lust for life. For the thrill of danger.
  • The height being a towering eight feet stems from his desire to stand out.
  • Kabili was born less privileged that most. He had to fight for what he wanted. His long arms, and even longer claws, symbolize him wanting to grab and take what he desire, with little effort whatsoever.
  • Snakes can symbolize creative life force, and red can symbolize danger and adventure. Like said before, Kabili is a thrill seeker. This manifests in the two-snake tails.
  • The snakes wanting to consume one another represent Kabili's often unstable, and conflicting, emotions.
  • Daffodils symbolize rebirth and new beginnings. After he was punished by Saivale law enforcement, or something similar to that in Paarthalaar, he grew from his pain. As such, daffodils grow in the form of scars, to remind him he is reborn, but also for him to remember how he got to that point.
  • Bull's are usually associated with strength. Kabili desires to be strong to protect the people he cares about. So the horns of a bull are protruding from his head, but are cracked in many places because he doesn't believe he's as strong as he could be.
  • Someone's hair can tell you a lot about who they are. Kabi is a wild child. His hair represents that. So, in his Archon form, it stays the same because that's an integral part of who he is.
  • Mischief and downright evilness are two different things. His messy hair being bleached blonde conflicts with the overall "darkness" theme. This symbolizes that he has some good in him, and he is capable of compassion and love, despite what others may say.
  • His white mask, with four eyeholes and burning orange eyes, is a reference to his worship of the Void Deity Abbagellon.

It is my time.. (this is probably pressing the limits of archon but this character will never be put in an archon form like ever)
As Merdoc Slumberwood would be targetted by Gwenyth's ability his face would registering in complete shock and disgust for only a moment before the transformation took place.
Blackened Soul -Firstly, his entire figure would be covered in a wash of black which like a smoky ink crawled along his skin radiating out from his chest until every part of him was awash in its uniform pitch color.

All Consuming Envy -His limbs and figure would elongate and pop into a monstrously thin emaciated figure and though none of the bones one would expect to see could be found against the leather of his tight skin, sharp protrusions could be found pushing against it at all his joints and face. This gave his figure sharp, almost seemingly painfully so, features that stretched under its thick hide-like flesh. The most prominent features of all though were the large claw-like hand with long thin finger ending in needle-sharp points that pulled the flesh covering them taut giving it a grizzly lighter shade along the tips indicating that it was stretched almost to the point of breaking. These long grasping claws reached out to grab anyone within the 6-foot arm span of the archon in a vice-like grip, the lack of visible sinew or muscle under its tight hide being a poor indicator of the archon's strength as once within the creature's grip serious injury could occur due to the tight squeezing curl of the claws.

Starry White Smile- The archon's teeth would warp into long needle-thin fangs which filled all the space within its mouth to the point where nothing back of them could be seen. They could clearly be seen to have a paperwhite color but this was covered in a sickening water-like black liquid which changed their shade to a blackish grey shining gloss.

Familial Bonds- While all of his clothes were replaced with the grotesque black hide leaving none of his human anatomical features visible with instead his entire body covered in the smooth skin of taut black leather, there was one exception to this that being those silver ornaments with which he adorned himself. The silver dragon armbands and signet rings seemed to have dug themselves into his flesh in a violent display, the tails of the dragons driving themselves into the flesh of his forearms and the rings having developed sharp edges which pushed into the surrounding hide. A black ichor fell in globules from the piercing wounds caused by the constricting accessories, the substance was viscous and heavy as if it had long ago turned rotten and coagulated. The putrid substance was completely harmless if not disgusting to all others but whenever the liquid fell onto the creature's flesh from its wounds or it came into contact with its mounds the archon released a violent hiss. The archon's hide would bubble and burn on contact with the substance and though it quickly healed and returned to normal the archon would continue to hiss and flinch away from the substance.

Nothing Behind the Eyes-Most notable of all though would be the fact that rather than a cloud white or night black iris the archon has a tainted sickly white void for eyes. The orbs seemingly filled with a watery white substance polluted by the occasional mixing of a very light thin grey liquid similar to as if long overused ashy water had been mixed with chemicals and powders to form an unenviable waste.

I've decided to change the Archon design (from what I remember writing from Carlit0o's mini-dragon event in the sewers)

Einherjar:

True to his origins and the form's name, the Url shattered; a semblance of his figure remained, as the beastman took an otherwise, entirely new form. In such an appearance, they remained all the more grotesque — their whole body became literal ice. Unforgiving stalagmite jutted out of every orifice of their skin, all of varied shapes and sizes. Some jagged like the side of a rocky mountain, and some fine as a porcupine's quill. Where his head would be, would have had a skull of some animal's that was encapsulated in ice. Utter contempt and ire seemingly burnt in their eyes, as cracks and veils of orange Gal-Raq tattoos seared out into a spider-web like pattern across the entirety of their body. It was in a literal sense, a 'shattered' appearance.

And as though it was a winter's night, an icy fog gathered around the figure. The shattered one fell their log-like arms onto the concrete below, lashing their crystalline tail irately. Blinded, he was now a sheep — ready to be guided by the shepherd that was the Matron.

VIVANA: Vivana's Archon, owing to her Magical immunities, cannot be submitted to Gwenyth's direct control and maintains free will while transformed: this is not a gimmick, but a direct and involved facet of the archon. She has been transformed into this archon numerous times, so it actually has a name, Ervëa. The being itself is an ethereal, otherworldly melding of herself, her Mage Mutations, and the echoes of some ancient being. It stands rather tall, as most other Archons do, with smooth and pale skin the consistency and reflectivity of uncracked marble. Its eyes are comprised of silver stars on a celestial backdrop, indicating an obsession with grandeur and sense of scale, and its unmarred body shows a focus on perceived perfection. Ervëa often conjures ringed in dark armor of Allorn design, untold runes grooved into the metal, and with thickly gauntleted hands. A circlet- a crown?- of the same black metal levitates, floats a short distance above their ponytailed white hair, spinning. The Archon has four arms, two of which it tends to keep behind its back, clasping the hand of the other arm. Most unmistakable about the androgynous, vaguely masculine being is its voice: it is the uproarious hum of ghostly voices bent to a coherent will, channeling into one stream of words. The most notable thing about Ervëa, however, is the idea that it has a personality: a sort of imperious, prideful extravagance, which takes untold pleasure in the submission of others. Its inflated opinion of its own magnificence and the artful way in which it colors its words are most decidedly an archaic Teledden Altalar trait, and if it had the right conversation partner, it would speak in Middle Altalar.

Nallia: To begin, Nallia's archon would be pure white. The head of her archon would be covered in a single bony protrusion that covers its eyes, ears, and part of its mouth to represent her more secretive nature. This protrusion would still have the pointy shape of Nallia's ears where ears would be, but would extend their pointlessness quite a bit. The entire thing would curve around its head and jut out behind the archon, with some whispy, white hairs growing underneath. The beings torso would be covered in various designs in an assortment of colors that can resemble anything from dragon scales to simple lines and curves. Finally, while the beings torso would be corporeal in nature, starting at it's shoulders and hips it's limbs would taper off into a mist reminiscent of soul essences. This represents her selfish, yet gentle nature.

Cieli: The body of Cieli's archon would hold traditional Altalar features, but exaggerated. It would have longer ears, sharper features, and almost alien like lanky limbs. It's skin would be deep navy blue in color with softly glowing bronze lines similar to the modern Altalar style of the tattoo on her normal arm covering the body, to represent her pride in her people. It's eyes would be the same, softly glowing bronze like the markings on its body. Oddly enough, though, it's mouth would break from this bronze coloring and be be silver, to represent Cieli's more charming nature. The beings hair, a dark golden color reminiscent of Cieli's own, would coil and twist in every which way.

Fen'nan

The Altalar's expression contorted into an angry snarl before she was hit by Gwenyth's ability, only briefly before the transformation took effect.

  • Towering Scales: Firstly, Fen'nan would grow to become 6'8" in height, not quite so tall considering, but this lack of height was made up for with black hardened scales that covered her entirely and were hot to the touch, no longer wearing any articles of clothing. These scales representing her inner need to feel protected and keep others away from getting close, furthermore she wouldn't stand tall but slightly hunched over, with more scales gathered at her shoulders in representation of the weight of the near impossible cause she's devoted to.
  • Metallic Claws: She would develop dark claws that were several inches of almost a metallic quality, smooth perfection and seeming to glimmer in light. This representing her need to lash out at everyone, the perfection of the claws representing her vainness and egotistical image of herself.
  • Flaming Locks: Crimson hair would remain red, but even more vivid and bear more likeness to the color of fresh blood, yet the texture and appearance of the hair would flicker and float about in a way which resembled fire, this being a reflection of her inner rage she feels, not just with herself but all of the world.
  • Heart Beneath: Despite being covered by black scales, her heart glows underneath her chest, a bright golden white that's visible from even afar, an image of not only how strongly she feels towards people, and her determined passion and care for them, but also strikingly bright to show how much she craves attention and love.
  • Cracking Surface: Along the surface of the scales, all spreading from her heart, bright white cracks spread, moving all across her body, a reflection of the inner brokenness she feels and hides, originating from her heart to represent how it mainly stems from there.
  • Impish Horns: Curling back from her forehead, she sports two black horns that move back towards her head and up, a reflection of her malicious and mischievous aspects.
  • Monstrous Features: All she retains of her appearance is her Nelfin parts, sharp features and long ears, but everything else is transformed to be much darker. Her face also covered in black scales, she will often grin, displaying rows of sharp teeth in representation of her feral, bloodthirsty aspects, while sporting a forked, snake-like tongue to mirror her manipulative nature, while her eyes are a bright golden orbs, which are almost blinding if one stares too long, representing her dark tainted aspects and untamed wildness, unable to be contained or held unto for long.

In combat, Fen'nan's Archon would rely on its speed and sharp instruments of its claws and teeth, moving quickly and unpredictability in an almost animalistic and wild manner, while depending on the resilience of its scales to protect it.

Azra min Eazim

Unnaturally, the creature would grow in height until it was standing at around 6'7". The figure's skin appeared to be an inky black, although if it were even solid skin was yet to be seen as the Archon seemed to shift and move in place, much like fog, though the creature could almost certainly be determined female from its stature alone. Across the head of the being, black thorns swooped around its face, much like the untamable curls of Azra herself. Still, the thornbush extended across the Archon's shoulders and half way down its face- disguising the majority of its own identity, save for glittering orange eyes that could be seen from within the sharp foliage. Though most of the creature's face was hidden by its hair of thorns, its mouth could still be seen: several jagged and sharp teeth sticking out from the being's lips and the brilliant white just faintly stained red. It could be noted that, no matter the threatening body language of the Archon, its mouth was forever set into a grim, sad frown.

Clasped around the neck of the beast, an iron collar could be easily seen from anyone observing, although the chain leading off of it was in the hands of no one, but rather wrapped around the Archon's own arm, how it stayed put unseen as it simply seemed to forever be curling down the figure's arm and have no ending. Additionally, only a grey nightdress clothed the Archon, although the end and cuffs of the dress itself seemed ragged and worn, no matching shoes could be seen. Still, it could hardly be easy to determine their footwear as the Archon seemed bathed in a lingering grey fog that rose around it in a gentle, yet somewhat disguising cloud.

The meaning behind Azra's Archon mostly stems from the fact that she is a heavily uneasy person and usually doesn't enjoy talking all about herself and what does on in her life to just anyone, save for a few quirky details. She sees herself as a forgettable person, which is why there is the heavy amount of fog and darkness with her description since it is, obviously, hard to find anything within that type of setting. Her briar hair is a similar touch, representing the Qadir's unwillingness to allow herself to be seen by anyone, although the eyes peering through give a sense of invitation as she does want people to try and reach out to her. Her fangs are related to her Vampirism and connection with Sanguines as a whole, those teeth being the only thing that everyone can see about Azra and as such it is in connection that she only is really seen for her mistakes and wrongdoings than her person as a whole.

As for the collar, it is a connection to both Azra's physical past slavery and the fact that she often allows herself to be roped into situations that bring harm or misfortune to herself. Though Azra is holding onto the collar, her sense of believing that she is free from anyone else's control, it is only an illusion since she is still in chains that are guided by her own hands to a bad future to come.

Haeddi Harhold

From the young Harhold would form a far different creature, one that was strikingly elegant and lacked any form of horror to it, save for the uneasiness that could be expected from any inhuman being. Once growing in height of just past 6 and a half feet, the Archon's skin appeared to be nearly opaque, white crystal, streaks of red and gold flowing underneath like blood just barely seen beneath the surface. The head of the Archon appeared to lack a true face, only swirls of the same gold and red tracing out a half silhouette of where the facial features of a person should be- colorful lines marking out vaguely where her eyebrows, nose, and lips might be, along with other similar marks. Instead of hair, the being seemed to have a veil of brown and white feathers that draped down from its head and reached to the back of its knees, with stray feathers flowing off of it to land around the Archon's feet.

As for the body of the creature, its form could hardly be seen through the cascading silver fabric that covered the whole of its being, excluding the figure's feet, arms, and shoulders. The dress itself shimmered and flowed constantly, appearing almost like moonlit water transformed into clothing, and on the Archon's feet were a pair of laced up rose-colored pointe shoes, tiny golden buttons decorating the laces.

The meaning behind Haeddi's Archon is a combination of her own views of self and her truly weak interior. The crystal body of her Archon is a representation that she sees herself as being 'see through' and open, although the opaque nature is a clue that she is in fact neither of those things due to often keeping her ideas and thoughts bottled up within herself. The facelessness of Haeddi stems from her idea that she is a follower rather than a leader, the type to make her personality off of those around her, rather than being a unique individual, regardless of how untrue that might be. The gold and red that flow through her are both a representation of Haeddi's elegance and want to be perceived as noble, although there is a touch of constant anger from her belief that she is misused or ignored too often. (Not to mention, the red is a callback to her frequent wearing of such as a Harhold). The white feathers of the veil is suppose to be a mention of the Harhold's purity, although the brown feathers mixed within are the bits and pieces of broken innocence that could be found in any young person with a tough home life since childhood.

Onwards, the clothing of Haeddi's Archon itself is an extension of her want to be of princess-tier elegance, as beautiful as the moon or nature itself, which she constantly tried to put forth on the outside. The shoes, though, are a point towards her true nature of childishness and love for life found through her favoritism of dance and collecting oddities. Though, that true nature is at her feet since hardly anyone will be found examining your shoes- and as such, hardly anyone notices the young noble's true self.

Knowing not more of a choice can be made with chaos stirring, Novellia's archon emerged from her. Light much like rays of sun came from her- yet, it was replaced by a stark and cold resistance, tainted with fear and a whistling wind similar the wailing sound made by an erhu.

However, screaming and crying splashed the city, drowning it in dread and fear. The resistance gave in. Strings and rays of sunlight return, but reveal a form not at all tied to sun- Instead, a depiction more so tied to the moon. A lengthy and serpentine figure showed, scales white like snow or like that flowers that are said to grow within the sanctuary of Fristadvlom's ancestral home. Yet, the silver horns, the sea blue eyes, and the maw- all seething with ferocity did not hide one of this creature's odd flaw. It was a depiction of a supposed Loong Dragon, but its body was tainted. Cracks appeared on its form, but filled in with gold. It let out a ghastly and loud roar. Its limbless form flowed like a ribbon in the wind, but settled in a formation around whoever needed its protection.

(yes wow, loong dragon go brrr)
For Novellia Fristadvlom, I decided to go with a flawed Loong, because of Novellia's secret of being a Dragon Ritualist and her strong ties to that dragon, which were born from years of travel, study, and teachings from her late mother. It has horns of silver, similar to tree branches in a way. The eyes maintain Novellia's sea blue, one of the parts of her she can feel prided with and tie her to her identity and also to her heritage. There would be a slight glow to them to highlight them and make it as if they peer sharply at someone. At a closer look, the eyes would soften or sharpen depending on the person, a clear show that while the archon is protective, it is in a ways judgmental. Novellia while being kind and warm is internally tired of being mistreated or disrespected by some. As much as she lets it go from time to time, the archon shows that she remembers instances of wrongdoing against her, being true and showing distaste instead of trying to hide it away and suppress it. The worst of her frustrations are saved for enemies. Her archon would try to destroy whatever it could with its maw, but while that draws from Novellia's rage in battle (see Dread War), its main objective will be protection, stemming more so from that urge to do what they can despite the lack of power or strength. The archon fulfills Novellia's wish to be able to protect others. It has white ruffling on its neck and a line of such going through its form and meeting with the tail.

Finally, though, the cracks filled in with gold. Novellia's archon does not have a perfectly white form, instead it has gold to fill in the cracks. It stems from the visible bodily flaws and yet, also the personal shortcomings of her as a person. It also is filled in with not dulled gold known as Kai'tsen'ur that the Sihai would use, but the normally used gold. It is actually inspired by the real life art of Kintsugi, also known as Kintsukuroi, where broken pottery is fixed with gold. There is a conflict within Novellia between her two racial identities. She is both an Ailor and a Sihai. The gold represents that for Novellia as it clearly contrasts the thought to be perfect form of the Loong. It is a way of presenting her love for her culture, but also her gripe and her conflict with it to what she is now. From time to time, Novellia, despite the acceptance of others towards her, cannot yet truly accept or find who she is in terms of cultural identity. She is afraid that she will lose that love and that acceptance, which is why she tries to resist and hide it. Still, when seen, her archon illustrates the mix within her and a form that is monstrous and flawed, yet beautiful and recreated.

As she fell catatonic, a blue orb, 2 feet in diameter would take her place, glowing elegantly. The orb would be unsure of itself, darting between location quickly. Occasionally, it would gain confidence, and act. It would either go to block attacks from anyone delivered to anyone, as well as start to stich up wounds of injured nearby. Only during these times would the blue orb remain still. The blue represents her sadness, the small orb alludes to her view of herself; small and manipulatable. The jittering represents her general meekness, and the stopping of such represents the few situations where she is completely sure of herself.

Imara's Archon Form: Hardly retaining anything but a vaguely humanoid form, Imara's form is deprived of its flesh and blood, instead replaced with a shell of paper-mache that takes on the appearance of a knight in a full suit of plate armor. The paper-mache itself appears to be made of book pages with scribbled, unintelligible writing and random snippets of famous tales if observed closely enough. On her back sprouts two pairs of feathery paper wings made of the same pages. There is no face to be seen on this creature, only the lifeless mache helmet and tears of ink streaming down from the slits. Her movements retain a normal level of human grace, but her hands are uncontrollably shaking. There is a broken heart painted on to the mache over her chest in red and the sound of a clock ticking rings out from somewhere within her body. Whenever the Archon speaks, Imara's voice is heard, but it's echoed with a torrent of whispers asking different garbled questions. Bandages are loosely wrapped around her ankles and wrists and hang off like chains, stained with ink. Her physical proportions remain the same (though she's now 6'4) and she appears hovering a few feet off the ground with one pair of wings spread and the other folded over her legs. She is not physically built for fighting, though will engage in combat if ordered and fights by quickly gliding around and ensnaring and restraining people in strong bandages.

The paper mache armor: The paper mache represents her distaste over her physical weakness and inability to help most of the time because of that. The mache is made out of pages from books because of her love of reading, but also ties into the appearance of a knight in armor because she takes inspiration from classic storybook heroes to put on a brave face and be helpful to others despite her weakness.
The wings: The wings represent her desire to be free and to travel and adventure as much as she can in the vast world, but also experience a lot when she's satisfied with staying in a single place.
The tears: There's a lot of deep-set melancholy and distress that comes from putting on a brave face and being smiley and extroverted, and Imara's not one to discuss her own problems over helping others with theirs until they boil over completely.
The shaking hands: Imara's very insecure about making mistakes, especially after the incident that left her with her trademark scar and the fact that she heals people for a living. Even though her hands have unrivaled steadiness and ambidexterity usually, the insecurity manifests in this form.
The broken heart / clock ticking: The broken heart is another representation of her inner melancholy, but the ticking clock from within the suit of armor is a constant reminder of her mortality and human lifespan in conflict with her desire to see the world and acquire the knowledge needed to understand it.
The whispers: A representation of her pursuit of knowledge and the need to ask many questions, as well as her inner turmoil of trying to reason with all the stuff that she fails to understand.
The bandage chains: As much as she enjoys healing people, she feels chained to the role and has some distress over the fact that she can only help after everything's said and done. They lash out and are used to restrain because she doesn't want to physically harm anyone if she can avoid it.

A dragonesque figure with two heads, each one at the end of a long neck. One head is kind and gentle, believing in a utopian worldview while the other possesses a violent disposition and an evil nature, believing in a strong militarized noble state. As one head pulls forward, the other is pulled back by a length of chain towards a large pike that comes off the spine in between both necks. If one pulls too much, the other is pricked and one head cannot survive without the other leading to a careful balance between the two heads. These heads are then hidden by a large pair of wings sectioned out to appear like swords that glitter in the light, shining so bright that only one head is apparent at a single time, the struggle of balance hidden from moment to moment. The remainder of the body is an Ailor man in the nude holding a shield with a Unionist Eye in one hand and a whip in the other, believing in the defense of the Empire as well as the desire to progress, lashing at the toils of those working beneath the protection of the shield to better the Empire.

Arien's Archon Form: Her head would take the appearance of a classic kitsune mask, with the fox's nose extended. Her joints would be disconnected, connected by a wine red and purple gas-like substance. From the Sihai's back would sprout dove-like red wings, and nine fox tails. The legs would also resemble that of a fox's, but her arms would turn scaley, into talons of a predator bird. While in this state, Ari would be able to fly, gain + 5 Unarmed, and be able to disappear and reappear at will into a puff of gas. However, one with +10 Perception would be able to see her move from the gas to wherever she goes next.

A Kitsune is a nine-tailed fox associated with wisdom and trickery in folk tales, and I believe that fits Arien well. The Tengu is another creature from Japanese folk tales, a demon with a strong sense of pride, but a lack of tolerance. Together, these two Yokai make up what Arien is in a nutshell: A prideful, unforgiving, intelligent trickster, constantly on the search for new knowledge about her dragons.

Clause Adelart

His archon ability will allow him to be grow in height (6'1 to 7'1) and his eyes as well turn to a more wolven look with yellow around its ring and an black Iris. His body let's out a dark aura as the man screamed out in agony with black vein's popping out of his neck, teeth begin to show out of his mouth of a bears with black blood dripping from them instead of saliva and sharp long nail's to accompany it all. His strength and speed increased highly because of this ability. His increase speed allows Clause to rush in forward leaving streaks of dark aura behind him and black foot prints on the ground which slowly disappear over time, ditching his longsword in favor of his bare fist during fight's to help him get an edge over. During this ability Clause fights with no mercy, eager to break bone's and even cut or bite through their flesh just to secure victory.

Heimelijk Merric/ Silver Swiftfrost

Upon the power called upon and taken from his inner soul to his outer body the man would change rapidly with a tensing and a shake while his soul was affected once again.

Towering Defender: Silver first off will now grow to 7'10" in height and his muscles bolstering as they are now tight against his skin with a lot of definition. His body reacting strangely with the blessing of Dragon Warden and his inner personality as he takes akin to a wolf and Voltalar. His hands growing hardened, silver scales that rise up his arms to around his biceps to where it becomes silver-colored fur that shines and sparkles lightly with a metallic sheen.
Hunters Tools: His hands grow claws like that of his Dragon Warden ability. Allowing him to climb walls with ease and use them now for combat with his newfound abilities in hand to hand combat. The claw color a silvery purple that leaves a trail of essence like that from the Soul Rivers that quickly fades after the fact.
New and Old: The Isldars hair remains white while in his resting position with silver tips at the ends. However when in combat it returns to a white gaining a few silver streaks within, his neck growing scales, and his features a bit more wolven eyes with a purple limbal ring around the iris. His clipped ears gaining ethereal points to make them look elven once more back to his original form almost.
Fridged Aura: Around the man's form are specks of ice and ethereal energy like that of the Soul Rivers that spins around him quickly as he gets ready for combat but slows when in a more resting position. It holds little temperature than a small breeze upon someone and is more aesthetic than anything.
Animalistic Instinct: Silver will talk little within the form and likely just respond with a nod, shake of his head, or a growl. He'd keep in a lower form and look around like a wolf on the hunt constantly, ready to pounce upon his prey at any moment. He's still able to use his abilities from his blessing and able to summon weapons from the Soul Rivers but much prefers to use fists unless he knows he needs more power behind his strikes.

Wilvamair's Archon form would take the shape of a humanoid figure, standing 7'6 in height (one foot taller than his normal self) and clad head to toe in an intricate armour of plate and mail that appears beyond the skills of any craftsman.

Where the figure might have normally had exposed skin (such as in the visor), and in small positions along the armour, a bright silver light shines through, with a flame-like appearance. Though, the features would be muddled and indiscernible. A similar silver light of lower intensity swirls about the figure in a flame-like fashion, at times forming aesthetic constructs such as wings, weapons, and other temporary shapes that soon shift back into the silver flames. The incandescent light from within the armour represents his inner desire to do good, and his eternal commitment to the morally just. The swirling silver and the many forms that it takes represents his inner turbulence as a person, but in turn can also be taken to represent his adaptability.

T
he armour would represents his nature as a knight and soldier, with the plate representing his training in the school of Bloodcast, and the mail representing his heritage as a Breizh. The armour itself would be near-blackened with ash and soot, representing the loss and tragedy he has encountered in his once-innocent pursuit of being a knight and defending the weak.

The breastplate would have small, near-imperceptible
runes inscribed on its surface in a silver light from dozens of cultures living and dead that would radiate outwards onto the arms and legs of the figure. This represents Wilvamair's unusual willingness for a Breizh Ailor to learn in the lore and cultures of other lands and races, and his openness to those therein. The shining of these tiny runes through the ash and soot of the armour represents the fact that despite the tragedy and loss he has experienced, he attempts to remain unwavering on his morals and values.

However,
three distinct languages are present and notably larger than the others, arranged in a circular fashion around the middle of the breastplate, as well as near the shoulders and neck of the figure. These languages would be:

  • Proto-Picaron: To represent his Breizh heritage and ancestry.
  • Skodje: To represent the language of a culture he respects, and the woman he would once married, and lost.
  • Middle Altalar: To represent his respect of the culture's grace and tenacity, his gratitude towards the many Est'alorn who have saved his life in the city, the respect and willingness to teach shown by a few, and the love shown by one.
Any blade of appropriate length that Wilvamair is holding when he transformed would shift aesthetically into the same sword, given to him by his father upon graduation and named Lightning. Though the real sword is long-destroyed, the shift represents the link to his family, and the hope they placed in Wilvamair to carry the family's legacy forwards. The sword's surface would appear like regular steel, identical to its real counterpart save for the black streaks and swirls along the surface. This blade may be lit with the same silver light as the rest of the Archon, or may remain unlit.

In combat, the Archon moves similarly to how Wilvamair might, though with a great degree more emphasis on grace and with greater strength and speed than what is available to the Ailor. Meshed with the combat styles of Wilvamair in his non-Archon form would be the influences of many cultural fighting styles, representing once again Wilvamair's own adaptability, and his desire to learn in the combat of other cultures so that he is more adept and rounded as a warrior.

"Let me show you what I really am."
[Theme]

Upon summoning her Archon, wicked jaws of a crocodile bursts underneath Sae'viir's feet and suddenly engulfs the Kathar from chest to toe. Vile fangs and serrated teeth of all different sizes pierce through skin, cloth, and tenderly graze against bone. Slowly, one by one, a bloodied set of clawed hands erupts from the charred dirt, followed by another pair -- until the black-scaled, four-armed horned crocodilian frees itself from the earthly prison.

Nearly encased by the Archon's jaw, Sae'viir's head and arms helplessly dangles from its mouth.

Bright, slitted vermillion eyes peppers its head, neck, and upper chest in disarray and chaos. Each and every eye was unique, mutated in endlessly inhumane ways that stretched beyond imagination. Flickering its paranoid gaze to and fro, the Archon wildly observes its surroundings and erratically twitches its head in rapid successions. Void-fire and hot smoke lick around its barbed frame.

In midst of an internal struggle and conflict for power, the fused-pair brashly thrashes themselves head on into battle.

"AN ACHE IN THE WARMTH OF MY MOUTH."
» Sae'viir is rendered half-conscious once her Archon is summoned.
» Sae'viir is trapped between the jaws and teeth of her Archon, and cannot pry herself free. The two are essentially fused together.
» Her physical health and form is sacrificed in a stroke of self-destruction and rage in order to summon her Archon. Coming out of the Archon form renders her wounded, exhausted, and tattered.

"THE COUNTLESS WAYS VIOLENCE BEGETS VIOLENCE."

» The Archon is able to utilize an additional set of arms. Each hands don blackened claws, capable of puncturing armor with repeated strikes.
» It may also vertically scale up building and hang itself upside down.
» The Archon gains +15 physical stat.
» In the middle of the Archon's torso is a vertical, gaping mouth lined with rows of monstrous, jagged teeth and a split tongue. It can be used in combat to swallow only one person, but will not chew/eat them. The torso's mouth can also be used to speak, though the Archon cannot properly communicate. Instead, it cries out gruesome statements and cries.

"GRIP MY TERROR,FORCE THE PAIN TO SLIP."
» With features similar to Sae'viir's, the Archon flaunts twisted horns, a slender spaded-tail, and predatory fangs.
» A hot trail of fire, soot, and smoke follows along its every step. This is purely aesthetic and has no combat benefits.
» The Archon's forearms are tightly wrapped with red-hot, steaming chains. This is purely aesthetic and has no combat benefits.

I wanted to explore through the incredibly selfish, destructive, manipulative, and self-harmful nature of Sae'viir. By no means would she ever be considered a morally "good" person. With the choices she's made, and imposed on her, the Sanguine's personality has taken a turn for the worse. I thought about having her aesthetically transform into the Archon itself, but fell in love with the idea of the worst parts of her soul essentially sabotaging her.

Her being literally half-swallowed and trapped within her Archon's jaws represents the never-ending, self-destructive cycle that she constantly puts herself through. She's aware of it, but will rarely admit that it's a problem. Through Sae'viir's eyes: "It is what it is."

Because for her to admit it's a problem would be her admitting that she is a flawed individual. She's too proud, and also incredibly afraid of opening up. Sae'viir doesn't know where to start, or which step to take. So instead, the Sanguine outwardly inflicts all of her pent-up rage and misery upon both innocents and those who she views as "responsible". The ones who she sees as responsible for the source of her misery are mostly the guard charters, bystanders, and a select few nobility. Enraged, and bounded countless times in confinement, her Archon wears searing, red-hot iron chains around its forearm.

While revenge/vengeance isn't inherently bad in my opinion, Sae'viir takes it to an extreme level where it not only puts herself in danger's path, but also strings along her loved ones, whilst also ignoring their protests and opinions, deeming it as unneeded and useless.

A hot trail of chaos and destruction is left in her wake (hence the Archon's trail of fire, soot, and smoke). If she wants something done, then she'll do it in a heartbeat without little to no care for other people's emotions or thoughts. After all, why should anyone be able to dictate her life? Sae'viir will seize any chance, and any opportunities in her path before anyone can.

Unarmed combat has always been a favored choice for Sae'viir, so I wanted the Archon to be able to utilize that. Her style is up close, personal, and dirty.

As for the crocodile-like appearance, I remember seeing a video where crocodiles hunted a wildebeest, performed death-rolls to tear their prey into chunks, and aggressively fought over food. Crocodiles strike me as proud, short-tempered, and ravenous. I thought it would be a suitable animal to represent Sae'viir, her temper - and insatiable wants, desire, and hunger.

I also smacked a vertical monstrous Maw on the Archon's torso to represent Sae'viir's Sire of Want, Lumeria.

Leon Claudio

Even those with good hearts of compassion has their demon's inside, Leon is no exception to that. At time's to save the one's you love you have to become something that you are not proud of. During the transformation Leon would fall down to his knee's and allows the archon magic to take over his mind, a large black cape appears out of his black in a form of thick smoke with his eyes glowing red with an yellow iris around. His height grew from 6'1 to 7'1 with his outfit starting to take shape into something resembling black armor and a full face helmet that covered his entire face as if it rendered the man soulless. His breathing became more heavy and his voice transform to something more demonic..more deeper than his usual one.

His fighting style remain's the same, wielding his long sword but if he were to lose the sword he would have no problem changing fist to fist combat.
