Note: This is not to be taken literally. This is by no means the true lore explanation of what Aloria is. This is just merely for fun. I don't even believe this myself. I merely wrote it on a whim.
What is Aloria? You all know it as the fantasy world our beloved Massivecraft takes place upon. But just what is it? Is it a parallel universe? A separate timeline to our own? Another planet light years away from our own? Well, I have a theory that just might surprise you. What is Aloria takes place right here on planet Earth in the distant future?
Now, now. I know what you are all thinking. "Aloria doesn't have the technology to be in the future." To that, I say bah. I say it takes place after a nuclear war, that completely destroyed our world.
Let's look at the evidence. I say we turn to the seraph first. A "technologically advanced civilization that rivals even the dwarves." Hmmm... Well, their technology just might be our own. You see, in the event of a nuclear war, our technology would be lost. What if the void invasion was actually a nuclear bomb. Several actually. This would have left their people in ruins. They would not have survived.
Next, we turn to the dwarves. These people are descendants of the seraph. What if a few seraph from the north escaped into underground bunkers? These survivors attempted to recreate the technology from the past so that they could live comfortably. They slowly grew shorter, thus taking up less space. A head chief was assigned to each bunker. He was to lead the others. He lacked they funds to wear anything other then the average man's clothing.
The dakkar were not so lucky. They got exposed to some of the radiation. They then began to mutate into something similar to a lizard. They grew to large sizes. Their holds were less extravagant then that of the dwarves. They had less space and resources. When children reached a certain age, they had to fight to the death so that only the most able bodied creatures would survive.
The elves and tigran were far enough away from the initial blasts to not be that effected. The elve's ears merely mutated into the pointier shape, and the tigran grew fur to survive the cold from the nuclear world.
Urs and Thylans of the north were effected to by the fallout. They too mutated and grew fur. They each adapted a way of life. The thylans banded together in caves, only leaving when they needed to. The urs stayed outside, mutating even further into a strange hairy ogre.
The few surviving humans began to form tribes where they could. After a while, they began to settle in new locations. With each generation, knowledge of the last was lost. With no records surviving the blast, the past became unknown. Eventually, stories of the blast died out too, as religions pointed it at demons.
The humans eventually found these mutated creatures. Horrified, they declared themselves superior, and attempted to rule over these mutated freaks and bring order to the world.
Various animals were mutated, and names were made for them. These names came from ancient mythology. Names like "direwolf," and "ogre."
Demons became a strange idea to people, but it was the only way to explain things to people. With the radiation still there in small amounts, some people began going crazy. People began calling these people "possessed."
So, as you see, there is evidence saying that Aloria is our own Earth, just long past us all dying.
*Remember, I just wrote this for fun. It is all a joke, and I don't believe it. So don't go in the comments and say "You're crazy! This makes no sense!" Good you enjoyed this conspiracy theory, and have a very Massive day!
