You believed you were beautiful and so did the rest of the world. " Introspection: The woman is enormously anxious. Not about anything in particular, but her condition always makes her worry as to how she’d manage on a day-to-day basis without the help of her family. She worries about being a burden, and does her best not to be a hindrance to those who assist her. As a result, Alice attempts to be self-reliant to her best ability, and is often embarrassed when she needs help from people not related to her. With a scalpel in her hand, however, her anxieties melt away. The half-ailor is confident in her knowledge and technique, being that it’s one of the few activities she can participate in without tiring herself out. " I think what ruins most relationships and causes most fights is insecurity. " Relation-wise: To her loved ones, Alice is less reserved. She’s more likely to openly express how she feels, and spend less time with her nose in a book. Due to the copious amounts of assistance she receives from them on a daily basis, the woman does her best to make herself useful around the house. This includes cooking, cleaning, simple maintenance, and other non-exhaustive work. If her stamina was even half of what her work ethic was, she’d be much more accomplished. Alice is much warmer to her family, treasuring them over any ideal or book she holds fond. As the child who often had to sit on the sidelines, she's constantly fussing over her siblings, making sure they're healthy and cared for. " I know only that that what is moral is what you feel good after and what is immoral is what you feel bad after. " Morality: Alice is something of a romantic, having very little experience with the harsher subtleties of life outside of her books. She recognizes her naivety, but is of the opinion that life couldn’t be as awful as some make it out to be. Having taken an oath of no harm, the woman tries her best not to see the race or affiliation of the one lying on a sickbed in front of her. " I had nothing to offer anyone except my own confusion. This section, while optional, is especially recommended if you want to create a social feel to your Sheet. « Life Story » Childhood Alice is born to scholarly Central Altalar parents, in an academic city in Teled Methen. She is the twin to Asher. Like her brother, her eyes are a piercing silver, with blue rings separating her irises and sclera. Complications during her development and birth resulted in a weakness in the girl's immune system, making her more prone to sickness. Having been born to a pair whose profession was to learn, she is pushed into the life of an academic. The girl accepts it whole-heartedly, specifically interested in history and music theory. She begins to play the piano. Due to the inherent frailty of her immune system, the girl was very rarely able to rough-house and enjoy activity like other children her age were. Much to her eventual chagrin, she was forced to depend on her parents and Asher for most everything. In lieu of playing outside, the girl sought entertainment from books and maps found around their house. She kept her mind busy when she could not keep up with the other children, writing stories of fancy and fantasy. Alice is consistently warned of the outside world, her mother concerned for the safety of such a fragile girl. She becomes somewhat reclusive, preferring the company of books and pens to that of others. Her expectations of strangers and the like heightens her anxiety about meeting new people, and she largely leaves socialization to her siblings. Left to her own devices more often than not, the girl seeks to make herself less dependent on the goodwill of her family, and it's this drive that sparks a curious reaction. At age 8, while attempting to reach a book on a higher shelf, the girl falls off of the chair she'd been standing on, knocking an adjacent flower pot to the ground. The girl outstretched her hand, and the item slowed its descent, landing on the ground gently. She confided only in Asher, resolving herself to understand what had happened. At age 10, her Crystal Muter manifests. Her ability to play instruments and other literary skills is improved. Teenage Years Alice continues to study history, particularly that of dragons and the like. She spends time reading Eastern history. Having familiarized herself with the piano at this time, the girl begins to learn the cello. At age 15, she encounters an Apostle of Ramos Dai, who was travelling with a group of Narathim to teach. The scholars frequented the library at the Academic Board, and over the course of a few weeks, the girl worked up the courage to speak to them. She's taken under the wing of an eccentric apostle of Varos Kir, a Qadir woman by the name of Abasi. The girl learns of the Library of Naraht, a place where silver and gold eyed individuals like her gathered to study and trade knowledge, and becomes enamored with the concept. Abasi is more than happy to tutor Alice, and the halfling demonstrates a voracious readiness to learn. She recovers from her reclusiveness a bit due to this, the praise she receives from her mentor and the other Narathim allowing her to gain some semblance of confidence when speaking about matters she's versed in. In addition to lectures and education, her mentor also helps her to practice and unravel the mystery of her earlier accident. She practices making items stop, and soon becomes capable of manipulating space itself. She continues to nurture this ability. The woman spends years under Abasi, but cannot commit to becoming Varos Kir. She maintains her unshakable faith in Estel, but thanks her mentor for her time. It's at this time, aged 20, where her Benediction muter becomes available. Adulthood The young woman begins to travel with the Ramos Dai, intent on learning more and keeping close proximity to such worldly scholars. She leaves home at age 22, and would continue to travel with the group for a number of years. During her travels, she continues to theorize and practice her magic. They visit a number of ruins, libraries, and other places of discovery and learning. While with them, she takes up a number of different studies and hobbies, chief among them being cooking. In such an academic environment, the woman is encouraged to practice her magic, and she trains her abilities to manipulate space to their maximum. At age 30, her final muter, Muterblock becomes available. Along with it, she gains the ability to summon the wings of Valeia. As soon as she comes of age, she meets with her brother as the two had planned, to leave for their pilgrimage to the shrines of the old Allorn empire. The two spend the entire year together, contemplating which of the pantheon they felt closest to. At the end of it, they traveled to the mirror pools of Talea. It's there, laying in the shallow waters of the temple, that she feels her connection to the Martyr of Respite: Cae-Maen. The woman is well aware of the social stigma involved, but was drawn nonetheless, due to her lonely upbringing. The two part ways again, Asher off to document more Elven history, and herself to hone her musical ability. At the age of 56, she learns that her brother has traveled to the Holy City. News of dragon sightings sparks her interest, so Alice decides to reunite with him. Upon arrival, he picks the name "Alice" for her, so her Nelfin name wouldn't draw the ire of the inhabitants of the city.
If she follows the Oath of No Harm, she gains an automatic +10 proficiency boost to medicine. Meek and anxious don't really pair well with good conversationalist. Please rectify this.
