Basic Information (Expansion)

  • Aleic was sent to Regalia at the young age of twelve to enlist as a Veridian Knight. He has trained in the holy city for most of his life, and thinks of it as more his home, if not his homeland. Since becoming a witchblood, he is no longer a Viridian and instead looks for work that has use of his skills.

  • Aleic was born into a wealthy, upper-class Brissiaud family that strongly valued pragmatism and militaristic capability. He was the first born son, and grew up with two younger brothers with whom he grew close bonds with. He loved his parents, if a bit distantly, and his mother taught him how to recognize weaving, which he enjoys.

  • Aleic would like to learn more about his homeland, and use that knowledge to build a better foundation for himself in the City. He plans on staying in Regalia for the long term, and in his mind, knowledge of your past is necessary for security in the future.

Personality and Abilities (Required)

  • By Others: Aleic is a quiet person at first, preferring to wait out the conversation until he knows he is welcome in it. He can be gruff, as he learned from years of militaristic training, and sometimes brushes people aside to their offense. Aleic is very loyal, to his family, his Emperor, the Spirit, and anyone who he considers a friend. He has a tendency to act rashly, preferring to solve problems by doing something about them right away.
  • On the Inside: Aleic is a fairly confident person, being very secure in his ideals. He feels as if he owes his life and allegiance to the Spirit of Unionism, and often calls on the Spirit to guide him and places his trust in his fate. Due to his stiff upbringing, Aleic is fairly stubborn, refusing to accept change until he has without fail made sure that his ideal or way is incorrect. Adding to this, Aleic is passionate about his work, his future, and his identity. He is by no means beaten down, and he strongly believes that he has the ability to go far in life.
  • Towards Friends and Family: Aleic, as mentioned above, is very loyal, but beyond that he is quite protective of his friends and family, especially his two younger brothers. Around people he trusts, Aleic is boisterous, unafraid to joke loudly and act out. When compared to his fellow knights or brothers, Aleic has a competitive edge that seeks to resolve itself by proving his ability. Aleic has not had much experience with romance, as he has led so far a very militaristic and practical life, but he has recently secretly began to question his sexuality after his time spent with the Viridian Order.

  • Morality: Aleic is very lawful, seeking to please the Imperial Spirit by upholding its creeds and directives. He holds himself to a standard of kindness to people he thinks are deserving of it, especially considering the poor and the weak, who he was taught to protect and elevate. He conducts himself with honor, as dictated by the Code of Charlemois. Aleic considers all heretics, aberrants, and especially vampires to be of the worst creatures in Aloria. He hold no specific hate for lower classes, but hates creatures of darkness and the void.
  • Fifth Paragraph (OPTIONAL) ((Under Construction!)): What is your character's Worldview? Explain what their relation with their religion is, how strongly they believe, how they feel about the relation between commoners and nobles, and how they generally view their privilige in the world. This last paragraph is optional, you don't have to use it in case you fear the information will be metagamed.
Weaknesses (OPTIONAL) ((Under Construction!))

  • Bullet out the character's Weaknesses with at least three sentences expanding on each.

  • A Weakness should inherently be a weakness in roleplay of sorts, or some sort of trait that flaws your character.

  • You don't need to have any Weaknesses, it's entirely optional. You also don't get any additional points for Weaknesses, they are purely aesthetic.
Personality and Abilities (Expansion) ((Under Construction!))

The following is not required when filling out your character application. You may use bullet points or paragraphs, and are welcome to add more or less information as you see fit. The information in this section will not be reviewed. Want to be extra helpful to your reviewer? Use the Spoiler feature to make the content hidden so readers can read it when they want to, or skip it!

  • Describe any number of Character Quirks your character has, strange behavior that they exhibit in certain situations. For example, a character rubbing a beard when nervous is a quirk, or a character biting their lips when doing math is a quirk, or a character shuffling their feet when talking to someone is a quirk. Quirks are not mandatory and may be left out if the writer doesn't want to include them or can't think of any.

  • Describe your character's skills; abilities they've developed, but not necessarily put at the forefront of their lives. For example, if your character is a good cook, but not a chef, or if they are a good horse rider but not necessarily a competition racer, you would mention them here. Feel free to mention multiple skills but try to keep your character from becoming over skilled.
Likes

  • Describe three different activities, things or items that your character loves to see, do, taste or smell. Generally speaking these are things that make your character happy and in a good mood when they are near them/doing them. Go into detail why they love these things and then also explain how it makes them feel.
Dislikes

  • Describe three different activities, things or items that your character hates to see, do, taste or smell. Generally speaking these are things that make your character annoyed or angry and in a general bad mood when they are near them/doing them. Go into detail why they hate these things and explain also how it makes them feel.
Relationships (Optional) ((Under Construction!))

Add Relationships to NPC and player characters. Write this list of relationships with a bullet point. Describe
what their current relation to one another is, and how they originally met. If you want to, you can add flavor by @tagging the player behind the character next to the character name. Relationships are a great way to socialize with other players! Speculate on relations, ship characters and create lasting friendships and nemeses! This section, while optional, is especially recommended if you want to create a social feel to your Sheet.

Life Story (Required)

  • The Firstborn (Age 0-5)
Aleic was born as the first son of Lauren and Charles Brinigale at an upper class estate in Brissiaud. He was treated well, and from a very early age he was disciplined with a pragmatic, structured upbringing.

  • The Brother (Age 6-13)
Aleic's younger twin brothers were born, and he took an immediate liking to the both of them. As the siblings grew, he cared for them and played with them. They wrestled, read, fought with sticks, and explored the dark, shadowy forest they lived by. During this period of time was when Aleic was educated with reading, writing, history, and several other necessary topics by his father. His mother, when she could, taught him a little about culture, weaving, art, and food. He grew a close relationship with his mother, who treated Aleic with respect and love.

  • The Knight (Age 14-24)
This was the longest period of Aleic's life; he was sent to the Holy City with one of his family's Advisors to enlist into the Veridian Order of Knights. His father had connections with the Order, and he was able to enter with no trouble. He easily went through basic training, faster than the other students, and subsequently spent his precious spare time secretly exploring the beautiful, strange City he lived in. He became a Knight at the age of twenty four, and for the next two years he perfected his craft and kept exploring Regalia.

  • The Saved (Age 24-26)
When Aleic was 25, he began to get restless and decided to explore the Crown Isle with a friend of his from the Order. They went into the woods near the city, looking for trouble, often finding it and dispatching it. One day, they came across a gang of angry Atalar elves, who saw their armor and swords and decided to punish them for their recklessness. The elves badly hurt Aleic and his friend with strange, powerful magics that the two knights didn't understand nor know how to combat. The two were left on the forest floor, dying, with seemingly little hope for survival. Up until this point, Aleic had never been zealously religious, but as he lie prone on the ground he seemed to have a vision of the Imperial Spirit, extending it's grace to his body. It told him of his potential, and commanded him to wake up from his trance so he could continue on with his life. He woke in a Regalian hospital, having being found by the Violet Order search party that was looking for the elves. He vowed to pay back the Spirit in whatever way he could. The next day, however, he experienced the first symptoms of Phantasma. He became a witchblood soon after, and had to leave the Viridian Order in his shame. Despite this, he vows to serve the Spirit in any way possible, and has embarked on a journey to put his new skills to use.

  • Skills section:
    • Combat Schools no longer grant bonus points, you have 26 points to spend only, please remove all of the Viridian bonus's
  • Paragraph section:
    • Please include a sentence more detail in Paragraph 3 & 4!
      • It would be nice to include how he reacts to romance in Paragraph 3
      • Perhaps include what he would deem as too far or evil in paragraph 4!
I am not a member of lore staff so you are not required to accept my points so do as you please!

Ah! Another Leutzman knight! My character, Kasamir, is also a knight but took a very different school: the Bloodcast. What struck me as interesting while reading your app was that Aleic is also from Brissiaud, came from a wealthier family, and is only one year older than Kas. When I wrote Kasamir's backstory, he was inspired to become a knight after meeting an older boy from a wealthier family, also in Brissiaud. It's just the thought of Aleic turning out to have been that same boy makes me chuckle. How interesting would that be?

So I'm actually doing something useful here, I'm fairly certain on the School of Knights wiki page, it's stated that students are always recruited at 14 and graduate at 24, so you might have to adjust your backstory accordingly. I may be wrong, though. Good luck with your char app!

Thank you both! Changes made in blue. I held off on taking away the proficiency, as the wiki seems to state that they are still in effect, but you are most likely right. With no offense to you I think I'll wait for staff! Again, thank you both :)

Some changes! I have realized that Aleic should no longer be a Viridian Knight due to his Phantasma. I have fixed his life story accordingly, and changed several other things that reference his Knighthood. All changes marked in blue.
