    • How would your character express Happiness and Contentedness?
      • Aelderich believes merriment is only worthwhile after having persevered through insurmountable odds, and in private with those whom one shared the victory alongside. It’s a privilege reserved for a special few, and while it’s not often he’ll outwardly show contentedness, being that he has to retain the stoicism of a Marshal, when he does, he’s loud. It calls for shedding the stoic facade and hosting parties, not skimping on expenditures, bantering and making memories.
    • How would your character respond to experiencing Fear?
      • On the topic of perseverance: in the face of fear, Aelderich conditions himself to move forwards and face whatever tribulation is ahead of him with a confident facade. He acquired this mentality after one of his tutors told him that “war is the art of deception”, and he saw it applied to much more than blood and iron.
    • How would your character respond to experiencing Stress?
      • Much like fear, he thinks stress is something to be braced through with the most confident and learned front one can put forth. He can only, however, uphold this in public. Amidst close friends and company, Aelderich engages in emotional talk that at worst ends in a bout of crying truly comical for one in his position. It rarely comes to this, though.
    • How does your character view Law and Authorities?
      • Aelderich thinks of higher powers, be they worldly or from beyond it, as important cornerstones of society and civilization. He earnestly believes it is what differentiates man from beast, and civilized folk from savages. So is why he lent his life to it’s guarding through matters of the army and the study of law.
    • How does your character feel about Races other than their own?
      • Closely-knit secret of his is that he doesn’t quite see races beyond Ailors as inherently inferior. His studies in the Academy lent him world-wizened views on how “inferior” races can be prone to just as much empathy and talent -- assuming that they follow the Holy Spirit -- as Ailors.
    • How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths?
      • Aelderich, in traditional Regalian fashion, finds faith in the Unionist Sancella to be the most efficient way through life. Though he may recognize and even praise certain aspects from other faiths, he insists these are only present through the Regalian Empire’s influence upon them, and the Imperial Spirit’s inclination towards mercy. Religious deviancy from others, however, prompts pity.
    • How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world?
      • Aelderich is admittedly curious, and at clandestine times, welcoming of otherworldly forces. Interpreting that they were put in the world by the Imperial Spirit for a reason, he deems it not as a force to be fought against, but an ability to redirect towards what he deems more righteous purposes.
    • How does your character feel towards their family?
      • As a Nobleman, Aelderich recognizes the importance of blood relations in society, though is not beholden to them. In realizing blood binds people together, he also has found that it drives minds apart via conflicts of interests. He tries to maintain healthy relations with his peerage, though is not afraid to make mental notes of who might just be a parasite.
    • What is your character the most proud of about themselves?
      • Aelderich believes he is among the first minds to begin purposefully and efficiently unblurring the line between making on-field sacrifices and treating soldiers as cannon-fodder. He justifies this with his book-in-the-making, and studies on misbehaving platoons. He believes his selective empathy is his best virtue because of this.
    • What motivates your character to move forward and better their life?
      • Competition. Aelderich finds the most glee and satisfaction after a hefty workload culminates, and obstacles along the way can act as motivators to make this climax even sweeter. Alongside this, he intends on pushing House Typhonus further in the social ladder, and refuses to be jotted down alongside the long list of unremarkable, mundane Typhonus before him.
    • What is your character's biggest insecurity?
      • His dominion over the law. He acquired this knowledge in the hopes of furthering Calemberg influence in Regalia and raising soldier's in the Regalian Empire’s quality of life through legislative ventures. He often ponders if the few years of study are really enough, or if the Crown could ever move past treating soldiers like the throne’s fleshy shields.
    • What is your character's biggest fear?
      • Aelderich is heir to the very, very big shoes to fill of the Typhonus Patriarchy. Private tutorship versed him in the many colorful, yet ultimately useless characters House Typhonus has held in the past. Legacy is a very important part of Aelderich’s life, often living it more for what might come after he’s gone. The thought he might not provide anything of relevance in life, or in death, is a matter of one-too-many journal entries.

    • Aelderich Typhonus, designated heir to the Patriarchy, is born from Ulric and Aleida Typhonus inside the comfortable confines of Calemberg. Good-natured and obedient in his youth in an attempt to dispel feelings of inadequacy at the behest of busy parents and prevent punishments from tutors and caretakers, he experienced a very traditional and successful childhood.
    • Statistics from his tutors revealed a knack for arithmetic and a present, albeit muted interest in family, military and worldly history. Befitting of his house, Aelderich’s tutors were encouraged to feed this candlewick and turn it into an ember-- enough for him to yearn for blazing, boyish, and naïve combat.
    • He garnered it in as many ways as he could. From a hobbyist delight found in strategic board games like Chess, to equestrian practice alongside competitive bladework, Aelderich shaped himself into an exemplary, disciplined Typhonus in his infancy and childhood.
    • By his teenage years, Aelderich held silent resentment. Tired and jaded by being anchored to his routine, he was beyond gleeful with the prospects of unanchoring boat from port and establishing some leadership of his own. The opportunity arose from a paid tuition to a reputable Calemberg Academy of Marshalry.
    • As soon as he began taking classes, Aelderich was noted to be a brutally competitive student. Be it fierce in-class debate, or extracurricular duels with classmates, very rarely did he miss a chance to prove his worth. Pinioned to a classroom and being subjected to the endless list of military achievements throughout history didn’t bother him until they begun to tally off Ulric’s, planting seeds of self-doubt that demanded some catering to.
    • These manifested in a hustler’s attitude that in some circumstances served as a blessing, interpreted as confidence in himself and his study of choice, and in others as a curse, construed as desperation to land high positions and secure a legacy of value he couldn’t without the Typhonus surname.
    • Upon hearing rumors of this caliber, Aelderich hoisted himself up by the bootstraps and sought a more ambitious plan. As time for field practice drew nigh, Aelderich subverted expectations by selecting unruly, undisciplined, and even under-talented soldiers to form part of a small platoon. Much of his time was delegated then not to combat, but to private study with these men on, above all else, how rewarding soldiers impacted their on-field efforts. This led to him brewing empathy towards his troops, theorizing rowdy behavior stemmed from poor treatment, and little benefits. He soon found himself doing meek studies in law to circumvent what he deemed backwards policies on this matter.
    • By his adulthood, Aelderich had accumulated a variety of studies and begun drafting his book on the matter of reward-and-punishment dynamics and how it pertains to soldiers. Work compounded as his father delegated control over 50% of his lands to him, so while this is an effort that’s nearing completion as his graduation assignment, it has yet to meet Aelderich’s standards due to time constraints.
    • Recognizing the ongoing efforts in Regalia against the Dread Empire, ambition prompted him to take his study here. With his school’s blessing, and careful attention to his duties as a Calemberg Count, he made haste for Regalia. He presently parades forth, aiming to undo himself from his father’s shadow and pursue his own, personal craft.
