Disclaimer this is not an official magic guide this is something I made up with a mixture of experience and common sense.
To start magic is a large part of people lives, but do we fully understand it? But to my main point is there a difference between controlling fire and controlling water? I think the easiest way to explain this is to break up the elements into fire, water, earth, wind, snow, nature and lightning.
Here is a quick discription about the elements and how there used. ( this is strictly my opinion)
Fire
Fire is the source of all things, it gives us life but it can also take it. Fire is the most common element used in magic. I believes this is due to its ability to harm enemies with little effort, but is there other reasons? Could it be that fire needs a fuel and anger is a perfect fuel for such a harsh element? Or is it becuase how it feels? Unlike other element it isn't heavy it follows the air giving the caster almost full control.
Water
Water is the life blood of everything, it is always flowing and changing. Water is the ideal element for many mages none more then the Maria. But why would mages use it? Water is a symbol of tranquility yet people use it to harm, does its soothing nature allow the caster who have mastered it stay calm? Or does its flowing nature allow it to be directed easier? But can this also bring a disadvantage to the caster? Many people know water is heavy so could this cuase the caster have to use additional force to keep the water on there control?
Earth
The very ground we walk on, the ever changing mystery. It's incredible casters can control this, but why would they use it? Is it becuase it's always present? Or does it mirror there stern nature? The ground beneath our feat is undiniably powerful with bounties of resouces, yet there are caster who can create boulders out of the earth and hurl them at there enemies. But how do they do this? Do they make link them selves with the earth? Or do they force the earth to do there bidding.
Wind
There is and always have been wind, it can blow through bases of grass or tear down the mogties of trees. The element we brush of as just a breeze on summer says yet this breeze wears down mountains. So why would mages use this? How could wind stop a knight? By itself it's nothing, but when it's focused it can tear through legions of soldiers. But how could such a passive element do this? Is it becuase it stretches itself or does it wish not to harm people?
Snow
The harsh element that rules the north, these seeming harmless flakes that can bury a village and take the lives off many. So how can such a small thing bring such fear? Why would a caster use snow over over waters? Is it becuase ice can stab through an enemy? Or does the knowledge of controlling such an unforgiving element bring confidence to the caster?
Nature
The untameable force that surrounds us every day, through many hide behind stone wall they cannot forget nature power. Most commonly used by the Yanar due there link with nature. But how can they control it? Nature is a living thing always expanding and growing? But caster can the plants spring to their aid, but why would they use nature as a weapon? Is it becuase it's raw power alone? Or does it help them? Does it fight for power or does it accept the control of the caster?
Lighting
The mystery of the sky, moving faster than anything else it strickes the earth with force that no army can match. But somehow caster can use this unbridled power to strick down there enemies. But how do they do this? How can they withstand the power from lightning? This power can't be controlled or tamed the caster is nothing but an instrument for its destruction.
Thank you for reading and I hope you guys find the interesting or helpful.
