As someone who has been playing on and off of this server for coming on six years now, I've found the different types of progression posts and their changes over that time to be fascinating. From the short and informational to the long and loquacious, progressions are a critical element of this server's roleplay community.

Longer World Progressions:
Misery
World Progression for July-August 2016

Shorter World Update Progressions:
Tension Never Truly Abates in this World
Reichstag

Intermediate Length Progressions:
Banners from the Sky

Player Sign-Up Progressions:
Burning The Black Tower
The Battle of Rothburg

That said, I wanted to know what the roleplay community has liked, disliked, or wants to see from progressions in the future.
  • What do you find enjoyable or nor so enjoyable in progressions?
  • Do you favor a certain type of progressions like war, history, religion, or politics? What about Regalian centered vs. non-Regalian progressions?
  • How do you feel that progressions could better interact with the player base and be more inclusive to them?
  • If you could choose how progressions were written, how would you write them?
Perhaps more rapidly paced, shorter progressions are your favorite. Or possibly the longer, and accordingly less frequent posts tickle your fancy. Maybe even, you'd prefer a sort of system for weekly or biweekly small world updates just to see what is happening in the world of Aloria. Any and all of these comments are welcome here.

On another but related note, I wanted to ask the roleplay community how they view lore events and their interaction with the world. This mostly resembles the same questions above:
  • What about events do you like and dislike?
  • Do you prefer combat, adventure/history/political/magical events?
  • How would you like them to relate to the world at large?
  • If you could design them what would you do differently to improve them?
  • Do you prefer in-game events to story progressions on the forums?
Last, in terms of roleplay inclusion through player run events, what does the community at large like to see in player run events and how can a given player make their event more exciting to the masses?

Thank you for reading and perhaps replying.
