Light a fire within your soul and another between your hands, and let both be your weapons.
For one is faith and the other is action, and neither may ever be put out.

----------------------------------------------

In the interest of the faithful souls of the Regalian Empire, Lord Leandre Delmotte and his assistants are hereby denounced for the most sinful and repugnant act of Artifice.

Upon the eve of March 11th, Lord Delmotte had began a most vile experiment within the establishment known as The Perennica, with the intent of creating an artificial, soulless being commonly known as a homunculus. His intent was to utilize this experiment to attempt to understand how to fabricate organs and other essential body parts to restore his own wellbeing, and others.

While his actions were well intended, he had attempted to excuse himself through citation of other's work, such as the Blacksigil Society, the Lothar Order, and the Bel-Hammon Elves. To this I say, even if the actions of these groups went unpunished, we may not permit others sins to define us and must live in accordance with the Divine of our Holy Empire. This line of thought in and of itself has bred a dangerous mentality within the employees of this establishment, where so called progress is valued far above morality, and they have grown hostile to any form of inquest upon the matter, so far as to lay a hand upon me for taking notes for my own investigation the next day.

But I cannot permit myself to act as though this was a malicious act, and not one borne from a simple and genuine desire to help one's self find respite, and to assist the Regalian Empire's own population. Blightcraft was not performed this day, but rather playing the role of a divine and through consulting members of the Celacy, and the teachings of Ness I do not find it appropriate to pursue a Writ of Sin against the Lord Delmotte, but to rather strongly condemn these actions and to remind him and those that assisted him in this experiment of one simple fact.

The Everwatcher sees all, and you will be judged by himself and his servants for your actions. Atone, and correct your course.

Signed,

Sister Charikleia Fotakis,
Wandering Blade of the Lampra Asteri.

Baroness Katrín Óltorskr was observed placing a follow-up notice beneath Sister Charikleia's post, ensuring it did not overlap or obscure the original. The notice, adorned with traditional pagan symbols representing THE MOON, HARMONY, DEATH, JUDGMENT, TEMPTATION, AND THE HIGH PRIESTESS in that order, was printed in thick ink. While the symbols stemmed from a reading, the message was intended for Lord Delmotte, not Sister Charikleia. It reads: "Engage in white lies and negotiate with harsh truths. Arrogance will not lead to discovery, only disappointment."

A note would be attached to the original message, written in a pristine handwritting and yellow-ish paper.

"Let it be publically known that SIster Charikleia Fotakis drew her weapon when I turned down her request, or rather threat, of stopping the experiment. She aimed to break the machine monitoring and controlling it, but was quickly stopped by our security team. The event of a malfunctioning could have lead to sudden mutations in the body and mind of X-One and further destruction would have lead to the injury of our team and the spectators near the main machinery.

She calls herself a defender of the people, and yet she would have sacrificed the well-being of the presents to shut down a "vile abomination", as she called it. This "abomination", X-One, is alive, it breaths, and furthermore, it functions, it is the first step to the cure of many illnesses and the creation of artificial replacements, not harvested, as many thought, but created through the miracle of science and progress.

She is not a hero of the people, but a faithful who whishes the best, yet sees only the short-term achievements and risks. She has her merits, but this is not one of them.

I will gratefully explain what the current path ahead looks for our research and developments to those who are willing to listen and see beyond the risks on the immediate future.

Glory to the Empire and it's people.

- L. Auclair
Alchemist of the Perennica Laboratories."

A small note would be found underneath L. Auclair's posting. Simple and plain, it smelled faintly of incense.

[!]A little note has been added to the board but does not cover the original letter.

I politely requested Sister Fotakis not to include my name in the denunciation, as I was out sick that day. I had only recently been hired and was unaware of this situation until the day before.
