Echoes and Whispers

The sewers were drafty, cold, and hollow; home to much of the Undercity and more than its fair share of undesirable folk. It would seem rather redundant to say that echoes travelled fast down in those ill-fated tunnels, but it is important to note—almost all of these whispers were carried not by the perfect acoustics, but rather by people.
And this is what the people were saying.
"A man is calling for the aid and assembly of all blood-blessed shades, all quick-fingered and dull-eyed sanguine that haunt the surface. He says that there will be a place made for them, in a strong, intelligent circle, a court held not by any one individual who calls himself 'Desprince', but by a Captain and his crew, equal in power and opportunity. There will be steel to give, bounties to take, wealth to acquire... and they will be led through the night with compassion, never cruelty."
Even on the surface, these whispers would bounce between rough-hewn cobblestone and newly-mortared brick, landing lightly on the ears of the downtrodden aristocracy like fine ash upon finer snow.
"This man is inviting all of Regalia's Danse Macabre to join him in working besides this Captain, whether or not they are aligned with an Upyr. The crimson children of the Isle will be given pockets to steal from, bodies to bleed, floors to dance upon. They will be expected to make of themselves a name, a story... to be woven into the grand stage set by the filthy nobility and oppressive regime."
They wind their way through every alley, gutter, country-home and estate, sung in sweet soliloquy to those that are listening, who hide their exalted bloodline beneath masks of simple stone.
"Join me, my children. Join my crimson chorus and sing your silver lies in harmony with those like us, those who are waiting to strike, waiting to move, waiting in the wings for a chance to take the center stage.
Wait no longer.
The show begins."

Hey all! This is an IC call to any Alais-Bloodline vampire players who want to get involved with a mercenary group, directed by Fireright with help from me!
