The Lore
The Chancellor's 71st Tenpenny Contingent is a regiment of the Tenpenny Army that is stationed in the capital at the command of the Lord Chancellor. Consisting of 2,000 Tenpenny Soldiers, the Contingent is expected to carry out the Lord Chancellor's will within the capital in the furtherance of the Chancellor's prerogative and as a result, their actions supersede State Law. Additionally, the Lord Chancellor has the authority outside of the usual Marshalry chain-of-command to assign their own personal Commandant over the Contingent. For this reason, the actions of the Contingent mirror the objectives and intention of the presiding Lord Chancellor and their policies and can be scrutinized by the Nobility and Secretariat.
General Information
✧ Comprises of 2,000 Soldiers and can be deployed anywhere in the Archipelago at the Chancellor's Whim for whatever reason.
✧ Must be governed by a Lord Chancellor appointed 'Commandant' whom can be anyone, save for a Kade or Howlester.
✧ Can recruit up to 15 players to carry out the Chancellor's will in Regalia itself. They must not however (Save for the Commandant) be a Captain or above in the City Guard Charters.
✧ The Chancellor's Contingent carries out the Chancellor's will, meaning that in theory the Chancellor's orders exceed State Law and thus, the City Guard Charters may not intervene.
✧ The Lord Chancellor is held accountable for any usage of the Chancellor's Contingent, but it is down to the Nobility to hold the Lord Chancellor accountable.
✧ Can arrest and imprison individuals warranted by the Lord Chancellor within Krakenburg.
✧ The Contingent is inherited upon taking the office of Lord Chancellor.
✧ The Lord Chancellor is expected to arm their Contingent and keep a Roster of its members.
✧ Prospect members are expected to contact the office of the Lord Chancellor.
